The great unveiling! It looked real good, no manky sides, Alan risked eating some and the sheep liked it, I'd say the green sheets were a success. Alan has lost some weight has he got any tips? Though I draw the line at eating silage!, lol.
Great looking stuff, surprised no waste at the front when you had no sandbags right on the edge, unless you had them removed before ye turned on the camera
I don't know if Alan sharpens his shear grab but it makes one hell of a difference I used to work on a 700 head dairy farm and used to sharpen ours every other week with a hand file 👍
I've seen lads putting salt around the sides of maize pits before alright. What I've seen to be a very good job to seal the ramp on silage pits is to cover it in round bales. Done it on a maize pit before. Covered 90% of the pit in bales and had more or less zero waste. Great job.
A little birdy told me that some of you lads got a Polaris ranger stuck on a hill whilst filming in Cornwall the other week 🤭 will that be coming out at all or trying to keep that a secret 😉
Alan’s looks like he’s lost some weight , fair play big man 👌🏻
Alan is mr healthy these days ;)
That man has lost over a stone and a half if not 2 stone ll reckon. Fair play Alan
@@farmflix hes on the silage diet 🤣
Nice pit of silage. Good to see Alan catching a break for once. Enjoying these videos.
Nothing wasted , great job lads 👍🏼 time’s have definitely changed
That is probably the best silage I have seen on youtube. I bet it smelt sweet.
Glad to see this, fair play lads hope Alan is happy with the silage. Be good to hear what he thinks about all the rolling up of the green covers.
To be fair that pit looked bloody lovely. front/sides looked good ! hope the rest is like that good product !!
Im sure we'll see more
I was waiting for this one, great result 👏👍
Alan will be chatting to you before Long :)
@@farmflix tell him i’ll pay him next month 😉
Glad to see the investment worked out for you Alan. A dozen more sheep needed now 🤣
more sheep might put him over the edge ha

Alan looks like he shed a bit of timber, fair play to him . 👍🏻
All the back and forth between the two of them, but that settles any and all arguments. Both show up to work.. but one has to bring his gloves😅🤣

Ye should shake things up this year and have John boi buckrakin and Alan drawin with the 78 for the craic
Does the man not suffer enough without putting him through torture like that 😉
You would think the John you would by Alan a bit of lunch and not have him eating silage😄😁😄😁😁
Used to be a thing 20 year ago farmers used to put salt around and over maize pits... some farmers in New Zealand still do
years ago they used to put salt on Hay when it was stored in sheds , mostly to prevent heating
@@jimosullivan4866 on hay never knew that...
Alan looks like he's lost some weight fair play lad 👌
Nice quality silage. Would a shear bucket be an idea instead of the shear grap. No bits falling about the yard and you can load meal with it.
might do ;)
@@farmflix it would be worth a look save the man alot hardship.
Can’t help but notice that the council seem to be missing a couple of road signs 🤔😂
lol

John ya must be getting used ta Alan soaking you with those tyres over and over😂
Go on ahead big Alan either way get your wee doll that did it back next time show her your the top sheep farmer around now as well 😂😂😂
dont be putting ideas in his head lol
We often put salt on whole crop but I believed it was more to deter rats, mice and birds from getting a taste of the grain.
Super great lads
Nice work 😁👍
Jeeez, Alan must be getting trimmed up for another run at county ⚽️ some going
Take the gloves off John 😂😂
Hi Alan x
First love the vids would love to see Alan spreading fertilizer
;)
@@farmflix would u be able to Do that
How much does a pit cover cost
think there is variations but its worked out for age individual silo
John, are you made of sugar? Never seen a man so frightened to get a bit of Tyre water on him 😀
