Lyng and District Model Railway - Episode 47 - Churchyard, an exhibition and some goodies.

In this video I update on the work in the Churchyard and surrounding areas, including a school, Rectors house, workers cottages and a stable. I also have some shots from the North Norfolk model railway exhibition in Dereham, and show of some goodies I bought there.

Hi Steve, a lovely update. The difference the grass makes is amazing, it pulls it all together and makes it more real. Really like the idea of the funeral.

Poor old Dai Jones, such a sad loss to the town. It is all looking very good Steve and the more you put the scenery in the more the town comes to life. Pity about the track moving about. Cheers Sion .... lots more to add although taking up time is enjoyable. I'm going to try and make up scenes with background stories see how that works. Looking forward to your plans coming to fruition as well.

Hi Steve! I can't imagine how annoying it must be for the track to keep moving because of temperature fluctuations! I'm really lucky that I can have my layout in my office where it's not so much of a problem. Those magnifying headsets are brilliant! I don't think I'd be able to model in N Gauge without mine! Everything looks like it's coming along nicely on the layout, and I'm impressed with the amount of infrastructure you've packed in already! Seems like you got a good haul from the show and I look forward to seeing everything incorporated into their various scenes! All the best, Ian.

Hi Ian - yes I was quite pleased with the goodies, which all will help build up the scenes as I go forward. I knew the atmospherics in the shed would be an issue but until her indoors allows it that's all I've got to work with.

The village is coming together really nicely and is coming to life. I bought some of those magnifying glasses sometime ago, yet to be used but specifically bought to paint figures, I’ll dust them off one of these days!
