I live a half hour walk away and often spend time in Rochester. It is lovely down the high street although sadly the banks have closed and food shopping is pretty much a no no . Mostly antique shops , art galleries , high end boutiques and loads of restaurants. The architecture is lovely and the cathedral is beautiful.
