Mijlpaal Willemijn Verkaik in Wicked: 1000 keer groen!

Musicalster Pia Douwes overhandigt speciale award
Willemijn Verkaik speelde vanavond haar 1000ste voorstelling als Elphaba in de succesvolle musical Wicked van Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties. Speciaal voor deze gelegenheid reikte collega musicalster Pia Douwes haar een speciale award uit. Pia heeft in haar lange succesvolle carrière als musicalster ook bij elkaar 1000 keer de rol van Keizerin Elisabeth in de gelijknamige musical Elisabeth vertolkt, dus weet precies hoe het voelt om deze mijlpaal te bereiken. Ook collega's Chantal Janzen en Ferry Doedens feliciteerden Willemijn met het bereiken van dit heugelijke feit.

oh my god, watch the hands of Willemijn when Pia and the flowers arrive, she has no idea when to take the flowers. She tries to grab them about 4 times before they are actually given to her. She's so cute!

i really like how they do additional bows so as to let the orchestra play the curtain call music in full. in the U.S. whenever there is a speech they always pause almost right after starting the "One Short Day" portion of it.

The whole cast is extremely proud of Willemijn and hopes she will continue her amazing work in the musical Wicked!
