I was in class the other day, and I asked my students if they wanted some music to listen to while they read. Several of them wanted to listen to EDM, but, as an educated human, I said, "No, no. We'll have none of that." So, I played them this. At first they were kind of disappointed, but by about the 4 minute mark, there were quite a few heads bobbing along.

How the fuck do you even try to explain music like this to someone who has no idea lol I could make a power point on it and people still wouldn't understand. I really do think some people just get it

Or do you mean someone who has heard it but doesn't like it. and you think it's your job to 'explain' it to them, or look down on them because in your opinion they 'don't get it'?

I think it has something to do with the heart beat in combination of a frequency more associated with the urban environment.
