'At no stage does Clark get involved in play' 😂. He runs back from being 3 yards offside to jump up and try and head the ball! This is ludicrously dishonest.
Don’t flatter yourself. Maybe you gentle folk want the world to stroke you cause you won a game? A lot of you are using a lot of energy to cry about our style of play. Making yourselves look fragile banging on about hoofball. Let’s hope u don’t choke again like the playoffs 😂
It was offside unfortunately with the proviso that we don't know exactly why the lino gave it. If it was for Morris, then that's a joke. If it was for Clicker, then he jumps towards the ball. That was stupid irrespective of why he did it. On the upside, we look far more positive. Bad news is that it might be mainly about the press working so well and we'll be knackered by Christmas if we play with that intensity for 90 minutes each game. Plus it's likely to bring more injuries...
Clicker didn't jump for the ball, he ducked and at that exact moment Adebayo was nearer to the goalkeeper than Clark. The goalkeeper reacted because Adebayo jumped to head the ball, not because Clicker ducked.
i remember when lockyear was on the bench for ages, i thought why you not playing him, now we know how brilliant he was, same with holmes, on the bench for ages , now we are seeing a great potential, now what is with not playing taylor. sometimes managers are so blind.
Great indepth chat as always lads. Tom Holmes def has a cult hero aura about him. Got to keep his place in the team if fit and performing like he is, no matter of others returning. Hopefully can dig deep to go again with same intensity and spirit as last 2 games then can get a bit of a breather till WBA Friday game. Up to Cov we go. Let's get behind Rob and the lads again! Club as one. COYH 🎩
The player was offside and moving in the direction of the ball right in front of the goalkeeper. A definite distraction to the goalkeeper. This decision could have gone either way.
Clarke’s position is offside, but the issue is that there is no consistency as to what is now offside. We’ve seen similar recently where the goal has stood as the player has not touched the ball and not blocked the opposition - and the Sunderland game decision has just been made worse by the fact that Coventry had a player clearly offside for their 3rd goal yesterday, and that one stood.
Listening to your dialogue about the offside…and it’s not black and white. I veer towards the goal being onside. But the bottom line is ref and lino should have spoken. Going back to basics has resulted in the second coming of Holmes. He will only get better now he’s building in confidence. And he’s a defender with a good injury record…now that’s a novelty. Edwards has taken a while to have a change of heart but now he has and he’s playing to strengths, which is at the core of the transition he’s made, the only way is up baby. One aspect to highlight is how we use Taylor …coming on at 90 minutes? Really?
No rules to the style of football you play. Funny set of fans, having a good start, with fine young team and obsessing over the opponents style… I hope we get our shit together and get you in the playoffs again 😂
The only crying being done was by the Sunderland players every time a Luton player went near them, and they threw themselves to the ground faking injury. Of all the home games this season, Sunderland have got to be number 1 for time wasting either total time, number of incidents or maybe both. Burnley from memory were pretty bad, opening game of the season, but this was a whole new level 😂
What the hell are you talking about, did you actually watch the bloody match! We won every statistic from the game apart from the goals for and against 🤪👍🏼
I have never been so positive about a loss. I agree, I now have confidence in our team and RE may have a better plan. Great to see Adebayo back scoring despite suffering more racial abuse on socials online, totally disgusting. Keep on ploughing lads.
Fair play Sunderland you did a number and found a way to win. We played well but couldn't convert and few decisions could have gone our way and just for the record i thought goal disallowed was correct . So many positives and we'll climb the table and come good when it matters in april. See you in the playoffs Sunderland. Coyh
"I haven't seen Luton dominate like that since ........... Saturday " that made me chuckle . This is why I think this vlog I'd the best vlog on luton town. Kevin and James input is sol knowledgeable and level headed too. Love it.
Our team are playing like a well drilled unit again. Chong is the weakest link right now. He’s not creating much of note and his mistake led to their second. He needs to step up quickly.
The team you lost to was younger than the one you beat in the Semi two years ago. Direct, long ball bombs are not going to get you back in the Premier League, yet you all seem to want that? Clarke clearly challenges for a header having come from an offside position. It's as plain as day that Clarke impacts play. You two work well together though, decent show.
You admit that Sunderland are a powder-puff team and can't tackle to save their lives. Their Goalkeeper spent more time falling to the ground than kicking the ball. He was wasting time from the 15th minute of play. I've seen a lot of teams do that in the past, and none of them lasted the pace. I bet you good money that Sunderland won't get promoted this season. Once they lose Isidor to Southampton, they will fall down the table.
Learn the rules. He wasn't intefering in the definition of interfering within the laws of the game. Sunderland players weren't impacted by his movement towards the ball.
Just compare the decision that went for Man City given goal last Saturday and ours not given on Wednesday! Both perfect goals and VAR would have given ours ! Lino got it totally wrong 🥲
Who was offside? It was a corner, so every player was behind the ball. (See Origi's late goal for Liverpool vs Barcelona in 2019). At the moment Hashioka heads the ball across, any Orange shirt infront of the ball would have been offside, but Clicker had retreated back to the six-yard line at that point and was behind the incoming Adebayo. The goalkeeper reacted to Adebayo jumping for the ball, not Clicker. I don't think football is right for you.
@nigelbaldwin1038 you are so pig ignorant Try reading law 11 and if you manage to read it and understand it (big ask i know) come back on here and apologise.
The Coventry performance and result makes your predictions re " optimistic about top 6 prospects" look a bit bizarre??.....It looks like Iike yourselves and Rob Edwards are amongst the few people still believing we're not in a relegation fight??
One team played actual football and one team played shithouse tactics but sure it was a smash and grab. Luton still trying to play league one footy might be why they sit where they do in the table.
You are saying clarke could only clear the ball for safc on the offside goal? What a weird thing to say. Of course you can flick on a header. You must've seen this before? It's how the ball gets to Morris in the 1st place. You can header the ball to go backwards, you just flick it.
@lutontownsupporterstrust Er,it does. You said clarke couldn't have been interfering with play as he could've only headered it the way he was facing( running out from the safc goal line). He could've flicked it towards goal or Morris. Therefore interfering with play. Offside
Apparently, the last time this referee took one of our games we were playing Doncaster. I have to say that the standard of refereeing on Wednesday night was fourth tier. They're players were holding onto our orange shirts everywhere on the field but Tom Nield chose to look the other way. They rugby-tackled McGuiness to the ground at every corner. I suppose the way Sunderland played it reminded him of League One football.
If we'd put in the level of performance we have in the last two games in the first 9 we'd be in the playoff places now no doubt about it. No point preparing the squad/tactics for the prem if you don't even have a chance of promotion, so absolutely right choice to take a step back.
Play long ball crap will get you nowhere Luton Town new Wycombe Wanderers aim of winning game is to score more than opposition . Playing that type of game will get you nowhere that's why your in the bottom half of the league
