2:47 I loved this! What would’ve been a cool idea for that episode is if they let him host the entire show and only have pricing games that premiered after he retired. Either that or his personal favorites
Lucky $even has been subject to several car crashes (know which pedal is the breke, Rachel), including Janice Pennington, making Rod Roddy run for his life.
That final hosting appearance by Bob was very much "vintage Bob". I'd argue his last few years were kind of dull so seeing him being completely on his game at 91 was a fitting tribute and end of his career.
Fun fact: The Vietnamese version of Lucky Seven has 7 pennies instead of a dollar bill, and if the contestant guesses correctly a digit, he/she will get 3 more pennies. That's why our version usually has 0 in the price
Lucky 7 is also a game that TPIR producers could make easy or very difficult. If the price of the car has 9's or 1's in it, the chances of winning are extremely slim. But if the car price has mostly 4's, 5's, or 6's, the game becomes easy. My wife has never been a fan of the game she calls it "Sucky 7"..lol
0 used to be used. But a contestant lost because they guessed 0 and the number was 9. The contestant lost so Roger decided no more zeros because of that exact confusion
I can't even begin to imagine how the people lost their minds when Bob walked out of those doors instead of Drew.
The intro of that episode is on TH-cam. It was wild.
I can't, either.
another fact a model crashed into the doors concealing the game the second time was a April fools joke on Drew

Fun fact: Lucky $even was played perfectly once on February 22, 2019 by guessing all four numbers exactly right by a female contestant.

On October 31, 2022 Lucky $even was played for a boat that was $7,465, it fit the Pirate theme that TPIR was doing on that day for Halloween.
Note: Lucky Seven is styled as Lucky $even though not with the "price down" logo symbol that has dominated names like Most Expen$ive and Grand $ Game.

That's pretty cool
1:18, that boo-boo happened again in 2006!

I assume no price contain zero to avoid scandal...if someone guessed 8 and it was 0 is that 2 off or 8 off?
