First Day Back at DISNEYLAND!

- I don't know what to say - this is a video I've kind of been dreaming about all year, but never really felt within reach until suddenly it was happening. Thank you to everyone who is taking the pandemic seriously. After a year of pretty much full isolation, it felt unbelievably good to be back at my favorite place with good friends. Please get vaccinated if you can so we can all do our favorite things again.
Also, I really just wanted to have my camera rolling as much as possible to soak up the atmosphere and give a view of what opening day felt like. I hope you don't mind that this wasn't a normal vlog, and more of a home video!

I've watched a handful of "first time back at Disney" vlogs and this one has definitely been my favorite! I loved the minimal editing - made me feel like I was there too! Thank you for sharing this beautiful day with us.
Oh I'm so glad to hear that. It was both a conscious choice, but also to allow me to really experience the day and not be focused on filming. I may do more like this in the future!
The way I started crying when the cast member said "Welcome back we missed you!" It just got me lol My heart is happy
Yeah that's the one that REALLY got me and I started crying into my mask. Walking down Main Street was the best part of my day.

Grew up in Cali and went to Disneyland multiple times a year when I could take the time off (Lived a good 5 hours away so it couldn't be a day thing). I do miss it. I moved away, but now about an hour away from Disney World. Fortunate enough to be able to experience Disney still for quite some time

I'm from the UK so I've only been to is Disneyland Paris before but it fills me with so much joy to see Disneyland opened again and you all back having fun!😊 Also, Sarah will you continue Down to Disness? Just started watching the video but I had to comment, at 1:54 there's a Cast Member with a service dog? That's amazing!! I never knew that was a possibility
I had assumed it was a security dog (for sniffing out substances or weapons). Unsure tho because the harness says "service" and i'm not sure if security dogs wear the same! Very interesting!

@@SarahSterling Looked at the footage again and I think it is a service dog! They are harnessed together rather than using a leash (so they can be hands free) and have "medical alert" on their hip. Sorry for the tangent, I'm just really excited to see that!
