You can't get past Denis and if anything has happened Aje is so fast... it's been snuffed last week SW had one chance it fell to a hapless Geordie this week Burnley had NONE We win again Romaine was excellent in defence as he was in attack close up he is so fit and acrobatic and strong in the tackle Everyone put a shift in and still they look fresh Ports Mouth Fratton Park looks like Roker Park NEXT
Most impressive win at the SOL for a long time IMO! We showed real dogged commitment at the end, great result, fingers crossed that this is the start of something special.
Great performance by every single player, speed really hammered Burnley sad for Dan with red card he must learn from it big time and a bit more work on Pattos kicking but apart from that a superb display and one to reall y build on and keep this fitness and level up for Pompy.
Today SAFC had 32 touches in their box while Burnley had 7 Yes RLB is fantastic and Sunderland Aje is so fantastic as a CB we have star players everywhere and we are great to watch.. and have you ever heard the SOL so loud and so part of the team Question Have Burnley sold their best players who don't want to be in the championship so will Scott get his remaining squad to re-group ?? Portsmouth have also started so well and that is GAME 4
Totally agree with comments about JC transfer - JC wanted to leave, so SAFC were pragmatic and accepted it rather than keep unhappy player. Fee seemed a bit low, but only Ipswich were showing interest. Yeah, we might have got a bit more by haggling, but incomings were dependent on JC leaving, so take the deal. I think signings of Isidor and potentially Simic ahead of deal as backup plan for for Mundle/striker happened just before tansfer as SAFC accepted it was going to happen.
I guess in the end the JC fee was due to little interest. I think we would have got a higher fee in January, after he'd scored another 9/10 goals. "undislcosed" isn't a good sign either. Great win SAFC
It was 1-0 against a Burnley side with the guts ripped out of it and 2 goalies and several youth players on the bench. I wouldn’t get too excited about beating that version of Burnley. Only Brownhill, Esteve and Foster played in our final game of last season. League 1 bound.
I think Browne sitting, with Bellingham and Rigg as box-to-box players be would how I think the team should start each week. Neil skates by because he's from the academy, but often loses the ball to the opposition and loses his head pointlessly.
Unless we sign someone before Saturday cos there's rumours of us looking at a defensive midfielder before the window shuts, Browne will likely go in the deeper role against Portsmouth, I do like Neil and he is a fantastic player when he's on it but so far this season in that deeper role at times he does take a bit to long on the ball and gets caught out to easy, I agree someone like Browne or a potential new signing would probably do that job better
Clarke will be a miss but that will get less each game he went for yoo lttle but wish him well. So impressed with the defence set plays, getting excited for the season PR was emence
Great performance and fantastic result today.
We were buzzing!
We have to mention cirkin he is playing great defensively and attacking football

Patrick Roberts was immense. Back to his best. Leaving people on their backside. If only people were on his wavelength we would have won by more.
I thought he was very good

Clarkey would have been proud of Mundle's goal today. Shame Clarkey's off but it is what it is.
We move one! Though he was a tremendous player for us
Top show sensablle commenys haway the lads
Thank you so much Colin
To be fair Jack didn't set the place alight for a good while until he settled down and the rest was history. Come on Romaine.
Very valid point!

Who could go for big money
Ekwah but needs to be replaced
I like that simic mind
It's not in our history we did it in 1925
We conceded in those games though, they said won 3 without conceding
@@rkid4734 correct!
Are you two for real that 11.25 m has to spent on a experienced goalscorer get mendy
Mundle will be better than Clarke IMO
That's bold! We hope it happens!
We also have Naz, his natural position and like Jack can score goals from out wide!!! ❤🤍❤️🤍 FTM
