Feels like a generic FPS game I can imagine how fun it must be to play with your friends and “tactically” gain control of the massive map, and I guess that’s the kinda vibe battlefield wanted to create

Agreed. Like that person who eats everything and then wants to talk to the manager for a discount or comped meal. People who complain about BF2042 are mostly dramatic KD queens. There's plenty of games for KD queens, go play those.
