I have a friend who's a teacher (I believe year 8?) And on her desk, she has one of those octopus plushies that you can flip from happy to angry, and whenever she's waiting for the class to settle down and they're taking too long, she flips it to angry and waits for them to notice. One cannot understand how much I love Jay the Totally Normal Business Human. It was to a point where I would be genuinely mad if Keith didn't win which is something because I usually don't feel that way. I honestly don't get how his was so overlooked but Eugene's was adored? The paint job on his was messy at best and the sculpting fumbled imo. Ned's was so cool.

I honestly was pretty impressed with both Ned and Keith's toys. Ned's definitely had marketing and collectible potential where I could see you releasing new pieces and maybe extensions. Keith's was just great overall.
I'm incredibly impressed by Keith's creativity, execution, and craftsmanship! I feel that his amazing ideas and works do not get as much praise from the judges, and it has been true throughout this and the without a recipe series. I would like to see more acknowledgement of his amazing works! Also, this time Ned was actually insanely created and made so many parts, but it seemed his efforts were not properly acknowledged either.

As a polymer clay artist, this video was particularly challenging. This must be how chefs feel when they watch Without a Recipe. I just want to get in there and help these poor sculptures.
That said, some nice work from these guys.

I went to culinary school and I can confirm that it is challenging to watch Without a Recipe and I occasionally yell things to them but they never listen lol
Same here, I was particularly stressed about them not using wire armatures or aluminum foil for the thicker pieces. The alicorn’s wings could have been up and the legs actually attached nicely with an armature! However I can’t blame them because I had absolutely no idea about those things when I started, so we can’t expect them too lol.

1: Keith’s amazing bird. It’s actually cute and has such a fun story
2: Ned’s let’s for daze. Got such a good story as well, and it’s interactive, even though the execution wasn’t perfect
3: Eugene’s gay horse. It’s art. You can’t really rank art. You can only love it.
4: I love Zach, but the less we talk about his monstrosity, the better.
Neds brought back memories of a toy so similar it was a yellow caterpillar that would have different legs, lips, and eyes. They were called cooties from hasbro

Honestly, I feel like Ned could actually use his as a prototype, Paton that idea and sell it as a properly produced toy. I think it would be a huge hit. It’s funny, goofy and simple. Could do mystery packs where you don’t know which leg you’ll get.

as a figure collector i would say keith in first, ned in second, zack in third, and eugene in fourth, because keith and ned have removable parts which, as a collector, is valuable. zack in third because it’s just a regular figure, still good, and eugene in fourth because it’s honestly more of a center piece than a figurine

@@dietwater2005 I feel like they misused their own wording for the video. If you actually watched the video, you can see that they continuously state they are making figurines, and while judging them one of the major points of judging it on whether or not it could be considered a figurine.
If you want to go by your standard of toys, the ranking would still be the same though imo. Keith's is still first for creativity, and Ned's is second imo mostly because that's a lot of small parts for a toy for children, Zack's is not really a toy either but still has a more child like feel to it than Eugene's, and eugene is last simply because his would be classified more as a statue than a toy
It's been such a long time that I genuinely can't remember like... where Jamie came from, why he started doing the videos, whose kid he is ?? but he's such a freaking delight. Like seriously, the most adorable little human.
He sat next to Eugene on a plane once when they were visiting Austin, Texas so they invited him to judge Texas food with them for that video (at least that's how i remember it). His rating was 👍👍👍. Pretty sure he was like 5 at the time ....

The judges did Ned so dirty! The balls were so uniform and he did the most detailed painting AND no one mentioned how it was the only one that could be sold in actual toy stores. I'm not mad Keith won (because his was also awesome) but Ned should at least get the recognition he deserved.
I think Ned should have come in above Ugly Keith at least. It was more creative! I’d definitely buy either Ned’s or Keith’s if I had the chance! :) all of them did a great job but those two I could see being sold!
