They were truly one of the greatest bands of the nineties. While I’m not offended by the shoegaze label, it’s kind of a ridiculous term right up there with New Age for electronic music. Lush rocked and rocked hard. Saw them live only once in Portland, Oregon with Ride and both bands were amazing and rocked like hell. Lush deserve major respect as they were an original sound at a time when such a thing was really flourishing. They really contributed majorly to the scene. I’ve been listening to them a lot lately and their music still retains its incredible beauty. It’s perfect for walking around the countryside in the sun on a nice autumn day. 🐿🍂🍁🌞🍁🍂🐿
