Loved this! I'm Kentuckian, but my mama was a Hoosier, of many generations and most of my growin' up years were spent in southern, Indiana. Attended Vincennes Univ and was hoping you'd consider showcasing some of the famous veterans and other folks, like Elihu Stout, who were prolific for their actions in the earlier centuries. 😊❤

@@mrstacyj9496 one time at Corydon, I struck up a conversation with the Harrison County historical Society president. She said everyone in town knew Jimmy, and she had pictures of when he dropped by for one of their events.
My husband and I were once doing some back road exploring in Michigan. Somewhere south of Holland, we stumbled upon a park that had a heritage apple orchard. One of the trees supposedly had come from Johnny Appleseed. You can even pick an eat the apples if you wanted.
If I was there, I absolutely would’ve! I collected apple seeds near Johnny’s grave. I’ve since forgot where I put them, But thought it would be cool to plant “a Johnny Appleseed tree”. 🙂
My wife and I got the chance to see Jim Best at the Pekin, IL Marigold Festival in 2006. I always enjoyed his antics on the Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid. I got a few video clips of his speech. He was a talented artist too. I didn't realize he was from Indiana. In fact, I was surprised so many stars were from there. Great video!
Beautiful video, Roger ❤ It's kind of sad to think that someone who was so large in life is reduced to a simple stone in the end. Thank you for sharing this 😊

You were only steps away from the grave of William Taylor, Governor of Kentucky in 1899 and didn't know it. I have walked from his grave over to sit by Riley's grave when I was younger and lived in that area. If you don't know his story, given this is an election year, you may wanna check it out. Pa's daughter, my great aunt Letha Taylor Bailey, became a kindergarten teacher when she grew up and one of her students was John Dillinger. She was up at that theater in Chicago with her husband the night Dillinger was shot and they viewed his body there in the alley.
