      Can you please provide the Part numbers ? And do you know if there is a Transmission that fits the Van also?
      Greetings Benny

    Thanks for the info! I have two 1st generation Hunters and just got the EVO Hunter...after this video, I won't be adding the 2-speed to my older ones!

    I've always loved the unimog. Now you've inspired two builds in one week, I don't know if I can afford to keep watching you😂 keep up the good work! Love your builds and love the channel! 🤘😎

    "We wrestled this abomination into existence" was perfect. Sometimes thats exactly how it goes. Some silly little thing dont add up and bam... You're re-engineering every little part. Relatible!

    This is the next big upgrade for my CR24P. Thanks for making a very detailed video on the install. Gives me plenty to think about and ponder if it’s even possible.

      If you have a 1/24 throw some 1/18 axles on it and make a beast little crawler

    Man, you are a patient guy. Due to lack of time I had just bought an Evo 😂😂😂 To be serious: very interesting content and the orange color and tire size is perfect, couldn’t be better!

      I started this project thinking it would be a great one to work on while I was waiting for some others. Quickly realized I was in over my head but was committed at that point!

    Thanks a million, Adam! I was looking how HP was putting the servo on axel, and had my concerns about articulation. I removed the esc/servo plate, separated the servos part of it and connect that straight to axel with tiny 0.5mm Steel sheet where I had drilled 2.5mm holes for the screws. Placed the servo upside down, lengthwise so there is good space for swinging servo... Except the bumper/chassis supporting part, which needs some re-placement.

    Nice project love that video, but there is a t-Hunter Upgrade Mode and for Havester and Van an other.... my Personal hint is, use your Stock Trx4m Motor plug and play and it gets close to ultimate

    Hey, building your truck is worth it, some times, even when you see some of these guys build these 10 scale comp rigs, are built on their own. & The end result is rewarding. ✌🏻

    I recieved the Builders Edition for my bday. I'm gonna go with a Unimog brown orange color for the body, yellow(diesel)fuel cans. I also will be adding the battery inside the cab, and hiding the power switch in the bed box. As well as making a body mod using magnets.

    I watched this video last night and I have been wanting the evo pro but instead I got a used rock van off mercari today and a lcg chassis . I’m just going to make it work for me for cheaper . I built a ecx barrage years ago that was cr-18 axles and man it’s great so I’m sure this will be to

    I bought the orange Evo T-hunter. I removed the esc to get mor travel on front shocks. I figured I tape in the cab after I got the body on. This is only my second rc. I gave up and posted my evo for sale before finishing the sol swap. I couldn’t get the axel lined up right. I may try and finish it now. With no direction I was too lost to finish. I was thinking I would by the ascx24 c/10 and injora tarantula!

    I feel like you just went through what I have with my redcat. Lots of trial and error still not quite finished lots of I'll say finessed parts. But I feel like my rc knowledge and abilities have been benefited by it. Plus I bet my redcat would walk some other builds lol.

  • @LARANUD

    Do you think that if I did that transformation with the rock van it would be easier?

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YES the rock van has much more room in the body for the servo so you wouldn't have the hunch back issues. Drive shaft length would still be an issue though, so make sure you order those replacement parts as well.

    I built 2 SCX24 Bronco's, one for me and my son, and it made me go to 1/10, lol. I'm a mechanic by trade, so it's not that they are hard to build, just way tedious. I can only imagine some of the frustration you have encountered building up so many

  • @RoncoGarage

    If I were you, I would install a rear steering axle. Maybe not with the same range/angle of the front one...just to have more steering (and better handling?)

    Am i right in saying you don't get the servo wire adaptor for the 2 speed to plug into the esc? Just watch to the end and you mentioned it. Were sells that item anyways?

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s correct. The kit did not come with the adapter and I can’t find anywhere to buy it separately. My next step is emailing fair RC directly to see how I can get one

    • @jaystarmini
      @jaystarmini ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CapeCrawlers did the same and they told me no they don't have any. I have a mystery machine rock van and wanted to 2 speed this. Maybe should've bought the evo van and swap body's just lol 😆

    I just completed the 2-speed conversion on my Rock Van Builders kit. Is it normal for the chassis frame to bend when I shift gears? I've tried different positions for the Servohorn and adjusted the trimming, but the chassis frame still bends.

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say there is some tension somewhere in that shift mechanism

  • @bassflyer

    • @bassflyer

  • @AnyAssumptionBanter
    @AnyAssumptionBanter ปีที่แล้ว

    I was so looking forward to the Evo. Those I've talked to that have both fcx24 and evo have said the evo lacks torque on low and high speed. The t-hunter has that extended wheel base, great approach/departure angle, and no top heavy hard body... how did they not out shine the fcx. made me sad. Come on Hobby Plus... you can fix this.

  • @axellness
    @axellness ปีที่แล้ว

    which wheels are you using and how do you get them not to rub the portal axles?

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      These are injora stamped steel beadlocks: amzn.to/3Yxf6Qy
      When you run them reversed with the deep dish on the outside you get ~4mm of extra width and it bumps the wheel away from the portals

    Nice job ! Incredible how orange color is able to save such an ugly cab.😄
    Same electronic box as the first version ? If so, how do you feel this 130 motor on slow speed ? As good as the FCX24 ?

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  ปีที่แล้ว
