yeppers....here's what I did, but it didn't make the video...I found a bunch of flat rocks and piled them over the top of the pipe before I burried the connection...should be fine, but if not....we'll dig it up and try again! Wooooo!!
Good work, Josh, with that backhoe attachment bro. My brother Hank at justhankinaround would be impressed. He is still the best excavator and backhoe operator I know. Excellent work man!
Hey Josh thank you for the video and just to let you know because I know you're into battery operated stuff yes I bought myself an electric bicycle but if I could have bought in a gas one I what have I just bought it Monday I like it it's called go City electric foldable bike I would recommend it to anyone so I just wanted to let you know woo
John queer tractors- the woke joke of the Ag community! They have the satellite control on your expensive piece of equipment. They can shut you down or make you get them to come out and service your equipment or you don’t get to use your equipment- when you bought your tractor did you agree to have someone else tell you what you could or couldn’t do, when or not you could? John queer BS , never buy another!
just a tractor buddy....4 wheels, transmission, hydraulic pump and an engine...nothing more...nothing less...buy a ford, take it to the ford dealer to get it worked on....buy a dodge...same thing...toyota...yep....Deere, Kubota or Case IH same thing.....✌🌈
If I'm mowing all day....the TYMs are great...nothing wrong with them at all....and the cab is nice. If I had it to do all over again I would have bought a Cab 75-90hp tractor and a skid loader as well as a small tractor like a massey 240 for chores.
I think on your previous episode, you said that culvert was 66#/inch. You must have meant to say 66#/foot. 66#/ inch would mean your culvert weighs 13000#+

gonna need some better editing software my brotha.... Adobe or sony vegas...remember you need a power house of an editing computer. Check out Orbital Computers they can build ya one!
I can send you a Mensa Club application? I'm a card carrying Member myself! haha! Just kidding! One question: How did you guess by gosh on the connection of the two pipes? Will dirt/mud seep in? Anyway, Good luck NC in the Election!
matching those 2 pipes up and welding them would have been nearly impossible my friend....if it were my driveway I'm using every day...sure...but this is a crossing I'll use less than 10 times per year so I guess I did it "good enough"....appropriately welding 1/2 inch thick galvanized is a tough undertaking
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer i do understand. My thoughts were more for water flow washing out from between them. I'm also guessing that you could make do with one of the two pipes? If it washes, pull the old one?
I think it's gonna be ok.....but I'll be keeping a close eye on them over the years...the biggest danger is the ground falling in where the two pipes meet...but this is only used about 3-5 times a year so I think we'll be fine.....have to watch it the next time we have a gully washer of a storm
WOOOOOOO! I definitely noticed the rough ride when you were showing the time lapse of moving the fill dirt. Your head was bobbing pretty hard. How sore was your neck the next morning?
It's a John Deere 5065e if you look it up on Tractordata, you'll discover that it is made in India ... NOT Indiana, India. Being painted green hasn't meant made in the USA in this size and down for decades. You have to look hard and pay far more in series 5 to get USA made, and get to series 6 and up before they are the rule rather than the exception. Not to mention after the recent layoffs, it is even less likely to get anything made here that has green paint. I gladly bought a Korean Tractor that didn't try to bait and switch where my tractor was made, and sold it to me for less of a price because I didn't falsely assume that it was made in the US I own what is equivalent of a series 3 in the Deere line up, and the day I bought it, there was no fully American made equivalents. And most brands send component parts to be assembled in the states. Even Deere uses Yanmar engines, so ... now they will bring the parts to Mexico then import full tractors with green paint.
too bad this one is made in INDIA!!! The idea that John Deere is as American as apple pie is just an idea...I hate to say it, and I had no idea when I bought this tractor that it was made in India....until I got it home and saw the tag on it. Global market I guess huh?
@StoneyRidgeFarmer Ouch! That had to be about the worst way to find out. Sorry they did that to you. But it seems their policy is like what the government's used to be, don't ask, don't tell.
Okay, at the beginning of your videos you are now saying "clear prop" before you crank a tractor. As a flight instructor I have to ask you, have you started taking flying lessons?
Glad to see the John Deere back on the channel
So interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Good afternoon !!!
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I love the TYM tractors but enjoyed seeing the ole John Deer back in action.
You can wrap the joint where you butt the two pipes up with landscape fabric and it won't allow any settlements to pass through
I was just going to say the same thing
@justinauman5438 I'm a pipe layer it common to wrap the joints with fabric

@@Doug-u1l we do the same on our pipe jobs
That is a great utility tractor!
I think so too!
Here in Brazil, I use a tractor like this one, it's excellent, better cost-benefit for a small property
Was hear. Wooooo
Like the blue grass and your vedioes from gary
That's the kinda project that I love doing.
more fun projects like this coming! We have a whole winter of fun!
Glad to see your vid liked 👍
Here's to pipe in the ground, Well done you ! Woo Hoo big purchase now in use may it long flow well no problems 😊
Finally "The Colonel" or maybe I have been missing it. One of my favs! 👍🏿
Have fun

Good evening from Fly Ohio! Dark at 5:30 6:00 ! Yikes!
Same here, turning clocks back aint going to matter much soon! Light 8:00am dark 4:30, 5 pm.
Its lookin good!
Josh excellent job on the crossing to get to the trees for lumber also seeing Buddy listening to you on command for getting into his kennel 👍✅😮😊❤
he's a great dog...unfortunately he's not well....I hate it for him...new pup coming soon I hope
Keep up the great work, Josh!
'Nothing runs like a Deere'..
Or, so they say.. 😁👍
Heavy Duty my brother
Good work.
The John Deere 5E Series are fine tractors. Appropriately heavy.
As long as you have proper ballast.
Gettn' good with themb diggers! 🍻
Nice camera work on that intro liked that camera on the backhoe watching you drive that pipe
thank you!

ya'll are good people that's for sure! Come see me again sometime!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer yes sir amen.
What's Uncle Jesse doing sitting over there? I couldn't live without my one ton flat with a dump over here!
I need to get my butt on uncle jesse!! You are right!
Try some marking paint for trench digging for rigid pipe, I have done what you just done so many times, I keep a can in my PU tool box.
yep....paint would have been ideal...but a stick was free! lol

Lol haha funny. Trump is the worst for the USA. Harris all the way for better future. Trump is all about hate and division
MAGA/MAHA
gonna stir them up with this one
is your avatar a burning American flag with the blue line for supporting law enforcement?
Josh why didn't you use the 4 wheel drive articulating machine instead of gehl for moving the dirt piles/
bumpy....that's the main reason
Nice work; Stoney Ridge would look good with a mini excavator as part of the equipment line up.. just sayin 😂
Mini ex would be nice....but expensive, my current opinion is rent a mini x v/s buy....but that could change as we embark on more projects
Helllo

get a 6 inch pipe like that and weld carbide nubes and retrofit it to an old tiller for a PTO power rack. I know bad idea
compare the old iron to one of the TYMs please

He will. Be digging that up in a year

One July in the midnight hour
He climed the water tower
Stood on the rail and painted a 10ft heart
In John Deere green

He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3ft high
And the whole town siad that he should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green
They settled down on 80 acres
Raising sweet corn, kids and tomato's
They went together like a hand and a glove
On a clear day from their front yard
If you look and know what to llok for
Off to the east you can still read his words of love
In John Deere green
On a hot summer night
He wrote Billy Bob loves Charlene
In letters 3ft high
And the whole town siad that he should have used red
But it looked good to Charlene
In John Deere green
Now more then once the town has dicoved
Painting over it ain't no use
There ain't no paint in the world that'll cover it
The heart keeps showing through
In John Deere green

Josh i haven't watched all of this video yet but I'm getting a feeling your going to be adding a Bobcat tractor to your equipment lineup 🤔🤷♂️
ya know...I'm not sure yet
So did we figure out how much this piece of pipe weighs? It is flattening those fronts.
It's actually 66lbs per foot...so around 18feet
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer That is still a heavy chunk of pipe, enjoy your banter and wit on your channel.
thanks steve!
Did i hear correct 66 lbs per inch on the pipe?
per foot...I misspoke on that one! Another example of "don't do math on camera" lol
@StoneyRidgeFarmer I kinda thought 14,000 pounds was just a tad over you tractor's lift capacity 🤠
What's your favorite tractor 🚜
One that works and you do not owe money on it.
each one serves a different purpose....so it's hard to say
