Indesit Water Balance IWDC6125 - Express Wash & Dry 30° (With bearing failure)

- Hello, todays video is an of a four year old Indesit IWDC6125UK Washer Dryer with bearing failure (Comes as standard with Indesit appliances these days). This is the complete Express wash and dry cycle, I think the drying time is pre set for this cycle. Only video, machine is off to be recycled into baked bean cans or worse; another Indesit washing machine. Turn your volume down before 7:25 and 18:20. It does end up distribution rinsing at 16:15. A look in the back of the machine at 33:54 shows the rusty water marks inside the machine and rear panel caused by water escaping through whats left of the drum bearings.

Scrap is the best place for these type of Indesits
I use a 2019 model of this washer/dryer combo at my rented accommodation, the instruction manual states that this cycle concludes with a full speed spin extraction, this must have been an updated, somewhat “positive” improvement.
As basic as these machines are, my grandma has the 6105 1000rpm spin model. As much as she hates it, its 6 years old now with no faults. Only used on 3 at 40 and 2 at 60 haha

These washer dryers, especially these models (IWDC6105, IWDC6125 and IWDC6143) are the most basic and most sold washer dryers. In these days, the newer Indesit models, bearings are going to be failed in just months. The older models were much reliable.
Can you asvise how to use it please
The lack of prewash on UK market Indesits and Hotpoints (I think the Activecares have prewash though) is weird, because the models sold in mainland Europe have prewash.
My friend has this is saw it in his kitchen when I went to his house for his birthday party last year

I just got this machine, it's a second hand. And I've tried many programs but no idea why it washes for so long. Talkin 3 hours per wash. Now I don't understand the time marks 3h 6h 9h and 12h. It is very annoying and I really really dislike this washing machine.
Unfortunately long wash times are a common issue with these machines. I believe you can press the Eco Time button to cut the wash time down. The 3,6,9...hrs are a delay start time if you wanted to run the machine at night, this used to be a thing when electric rates were cheaper during off peak times. Hope this helps

@Isaac Joby John we had 2 wmbs, the 9kg we bricked and burnt and our old slim one before we ever had Hotpoint, we had the slim one for 3 years, the 9kg was 4 and died
I turn on my machine on no 5 . That's supposed to be 80 minutes and its 4 hours its still running 🤔 what could be the problem??
Is it a condenser? How do you empty the water from the drying cycle and clean the filter? 🤔
Only lasted 4 years. Where do you get all these failed drum bearing washing machines?

Iv got this one Iv got a question ours does exactly the same when we turn ours on how come the lights for wash rinse and spin don't come on when your selecting a programme when the others do that?
Yeah and that's why it shakes a bit at the final spin and cannot reach to max spin speed, maybe it would attempt to 'dance' like "ballast feast" and want to go to scrapyard lol

Nah it’s scrapped, bearings are sealed in the tub unit
Bunky’s Workshop this machine uses sealed tub and it's impossible to change the bearing or spider unless you have edged tools to cut the tub to split into two, but that's not easy to do so

The bearings are hammered that’s what happens when you don’t maintain your washing machine

Devi sostituire l’intera vasca a mio parere dal momento che penso sia sigillata e non apribile...comunque se continui a fare lavaggi a 30 gradi temo che avrà vita breve anche dopo averla eventualmente riparata...

I'm not surprised about Indesit washing machines, as even this one for example does not have prewash and extra rinse options, too whiney noisy, sealed tub and that's why the bearing and/or spider cannot be changed unless you cut the tub with edged tools to split out, but difficult to do so. So I would rather an LG or Electrolux washing machine only instead of this, that's just my opinion 🙄🤔😐

@@aegwasherndryrer Lmao this was before almost a year. 🤣 I actually don't like Hotpoint as much as Indesit, but actually their designs are good.
Hotpoint and Indesit both use the same parts. They are the same company.
Bad bearing on this machine
You know, even as a student with almost no money I would never buy an Indesit. Luckily I can live with my parents as long as I need to, thus enjoying a marvellous AEG washer (running without trouble for 13 years already). But back to my point, if I’d ever need to buy a budget washer, it’s definitely going to be a Zanussi or Whirpool. If you can recommend me some other brands worth looking into, I’d totally want tondo that. But as far I’m concerned, I’ll just be saving up extra money for an AEG, Siemens or Miele (though Miele is more of a dream than a reality).
I'd definitely recommend a Siemens or Bosch they are brill. I do like AEG but find them just a little to expensive but I still watch them on TH-cam. And congrats on being with a 13 year old washing machine. I'm well impressed.
the sirie 6 And Hotpoint dish machine. I have a Bosch dishwasher, it’s the absolute best! I would totally go for a Bosch/Siemens washer in a heartbeat. Their cycles may take long (I saw that as a problem once), but let’s explain it like this: you’re on a 100 km highway, and your driving 200 km/h (just an example for easy calculating), it’ll take you 30 minutes. You do waste a lot of petrol, though. If you drive 100 km/h you’ll take an hour and you’ll waste a lot less petrol. So the longer something takes, the less resources it’ll need.
@@sanderadam8174 that is true. I agree. I often wash at night so the long cycles are not too big of a issue for me but yes they definitely can be long.

Snobby. For £299 my Indesit washer/dryer is coming up to 9 years old with zero faults. Why pay more?

Where is the option button for the dry ?
Drying level is controlled on one of the smaller dials, there are separate drying only programmes think it’s like 11 and 12, can’t be too sure but the fascia will say where all the cycles are listed.
