The Inside the actor's studio episode with him is fantastic. Lipton does an intro saying how this was the longest interview he had, with a line of audience extending far outside the building and that Dave Chappelle was kind enough to stay for the whole day so that everyone on that line would have a chance to hear him out. In it he talks about Martin Lawrence going "crazy" which is the most incredible way of putting into words how fucked up Hollywood is. Everything he couldn't say on Oprah was perfectly addressed on they episode and it certainly didn't seem to fall on dead ears.
I throughly recommend the Larry Sanders Show, Dave's episode is right near the end of the last season and Garry Shandling knew Dave had very recent experience with network interference and would be perfect to play an exaggerated version of himself and to this day it's one of the best pieces of satire about the entertainment industry ever produced and I'm so glad Dave was in it as nearly everybody who was somebody in the 90's guest starred on that show and not enough people have seen it
Loved the video! I saw Dave a couple months ago and I had chills when he walked out on stage to so much applause and respect from the audience. You just knew you were in the presence of greatness. Keep up the great work man!!
Thanks a lot man! I saw him live recently also in Tampa, and it was the same feeling when he came out ❤️ I hope you subscribe to see more videos soon man
Great stuff man just a couple things, whenever you use the consonant “p” it’s really punching in your speech. Maybe back off the mic an inch or two and that should fix it. Lastly, when you insert a clip of him during an interview, some of the clips are a little too quiet, in comparison to the rest of the video. Other than that man, it was a very enjoyable watch.
Thanks for the feedback bro, I’ll keep that in mind moving forward. I got a new mic recently that I’m going to start using for documentaries (with a pop filter thank god) and I’m gonna see how I like that one.
Loving your series Nate. I'm sure you have other projects that you're working on. It reminds me of "Give it up for Greg Giraldo" that featured on March 2011 after he died in 2010. I have his autobiography, but wonder if the 13 years since he died are enough to warrant a documentary any different to the one that Comedy Central released.
These algorithms screw new content creators. I previously "liked" the video. However, it was showing 262 likes when I liked it, but when opening to post a comment it says only 211 likes, WTH ? 😡.
Yeah they definitely make it hard to grow, but I’m gonna defy the odds and keep hustling until my channel is huge! Hope you subscribe to stay part of the journey ❤️
Funny is subjective. I didn't watch it, but I know he broke from the sheeple and chose to question the left brainwashing over certain subjects. I am not on either side, but the left has gone off the deep end.
Fkn Connecticut. I live in the northwest corner of it and i age with everything Rogan said about it. At least I'm from Massachusetts originally. Thank God.
You should do a doc on the fued as well as the rise and fall of O/A. Pretty much every comedian on this channel featured made their way through and were regulars of them. Then the fact that Anthony himself was damn near just as funny and that now fucking Sam and Jim are the faces of the show is such a great basis. Their fued with Howard and how Opie is now regulated to streaming awkwardly for like 10 people and the Anthony fights with Burr. Just seems like a no brainer for your channel. Make it a long one. Really put some time into it at a slow pace your comfortable with then drop a 2 part series about an hour each. There's just so much to cover and so much overlap it would be hard to fit it all into one 45 minute vid. Idk maybe not what do i know lol
Great docuvid but I was hoping for more talk on his effect on the LGBTQ community especially when it comes to Trans people given that’s been heavy in conversation when it comes to discussing Dave recently. I saw him in Nashville a few months ago and it was great. An experience I’ll never forget, the entire stadium was packed and filled with smiling faces..then I left and realized I wasn’t able to even share with some friends of mine the fact I was going due to the nature of the conversation/controversy. Dave’s a comedy legend and one of my comedy icons and it’s been weird and somewhat hard seeing and hearing all these things from the past few years. Overall though, great video and I love the channel. So glad I found it, keep it up! (Also loved ur Louis video)
Thanks for the kind words. Honestly that could be a video in itself because there’s so much to unpack there. Maybe I’ll cover it one day. Glad you enjoyed the video though ❤️ hope you subscribe to see more future content coming soon
@@TheComedyHistorian / Because it's clearly not the same person he was killed and cloned in an underground lab years ago he didn't just disappear. He loves/loved comedy that was his life. The beast eats you...and never spits you back out. Once you sell your soul. It's gone forever. That isn't Dave.
I hope the man lets go of his ego one day and becomes a force for order rather than chaos, but it's undeniable that he's funny. A shame about his vile rhetoric, though.
The surprise on Oprah's face that he didn't sell his soul like she did 😅

This comment is just to help with the algorithm, and because I can't like the video twice.
It got me on here w the Patrice vid.
I liked it, twice, but I'd to 'dislike' it, once.
P.S. YtF's GooTube only displaying 299/300 likes per video, despite, many more views?

Fantastic documentary, Nate. I had no idea that Dave endured all of that stress from his days with Viacom 😮
Thanks for watching bro. He certainly went through a lot

Great Doc, and I agree that Dave holds the top position as the GOAT.
Thanks Man, I hope you subscribe to see more future content
Jim Breuer used to be pretty funny, but oh my God, if you’ve seen his latest special…it’s just painful.
I don’t watch a lot of comedy specials anymore, but I’ll take your word for it and skip that one.
Funny is subjective. I didn't watch it, but I know he broke from the sheeple and chose to question the left brainwashing over certain subjects. I am not on either side, but the left has gone off the deep end.
I like Jim. He's always been more goofy/family type stuff. Not in the same league as Norm or Chappelle, but still good.
He’s awful but not really “adult” comedy so it’s hard to compare. He’s more like a Jeff Dunham family comedian
@@coltermasson8124 if you see his latest special, it was all for adults.
love your content, Nate. just a heads up for it ever comes up again, Greenwich Village is pronounced like "gren-itch." Why? Nobody fucking knows.
Thanks for the reminder 😂🤣😂 I’m kind of stupid sometimes glad you love the content though bro, I hope to see you again in the comments more soon ❤️

The most overated comedian of all time lol but im still a big fan of his

New Dave is a Clone.

The fact yhat you didnt mention Tony Woods about his influences shows you really didnt do proper research
you can do better voice over, more emotion, stop reading and speak from your soul
Working on it bro, thanks for the feedback
over rated....
Keep ‘em coming Nate
Aye aye captain
Dave MADE Comedy Central.
South Park made comedy central
Zip it up. And zip it out!
