    Firstly, great English Ted. You didn’t say Yacket at all, which I would expect to hear at least a little bit coming from an official Svensk like yourself. Secondly, was this filmed recently? It’s looking positively balmy over there. This looks like early fall, not late Januari in Sverige. That insulation layer is giving me Keb Padded Hoodie vibes, but with more of a town/everyday appeal. Less hood, pocket zips, wrist closures, and a waist cinch all things missing on the Keb Padded Hoodie, that aren’t really needed on that piece, but I can see the use for them here.

    Where are you Ted? Nice jacket, and even nicer review, but I personally tried 3in1 jackets few times and in the long run two separate wins for me.

      I was hiding out in Milan for the day! I understand what you mean, I rarely use all the jackets together, its usually the rain jacket part solo, but's its nice to have the option when its colder! great to have the extra layer in the car for instance!

    My favorite is still the Keb Jacket but that is a uniform style jacket. You could sew badges and crests onto it. It is also warm on bad weather days, like you said. You would think that there is an advantage to be able to replace the inner jacket when it gets old.

      @Ted Weirum That jacket is fairly expensive. I want to see the "raven" jackets. Those look interesting. The Vardog stuff might be good, but I think that Keb is solid, although there isn't a Keb jacket with silver buttons as far as I know. So that is a problem. Some of them should unless some other jacket has the silver.

    • @TedWeirum
      @TedWeirum  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, can’t recall any kebs having silver buttons

      @Ted Weirum Here in Canada I have a few keb trousers that I bought that have silver buttons. The newer kebs do not, are they gold or brass? The high coast have silver. My keb jacket though is gold/brass. What are the Raven jackets? And do those compliment keb or else vidda pro? Which side are they on?

    • @TedWeirum
      @TedWeirum  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d say brass, not sure on the ravens but I’d assume brass there too!

      Hmm.. if you’re on the move this isolates good with just the shell jacket, a bit lighter too without the inner layer, but it might be too cold..

    Ted, can a person still get the High Coast pants in Sweden at Fjallraven? I now have a Vardag trousers which seem to be similar. I have never tried a Greenland Jeans but you can not get the High Coast pants here in Canada now. My existing pairs are too large, I've lost weight. I wear them still but I wanted them in a smaller size. Vardag is okay but not better. Those HC pants are excellent.

    • @TedWeirum
      @TedWeirum  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it looks like it!

    • @HPCthulhu2011
      @HPCthulhu2011 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TedWeirum I have three pairs of them which maybe I can get hemmed in because I need a smaller size plus I am still losing 20 additional pounds. All that the people want here is the heat to keep rising, that is why I can't get those anymore.

    • @TedWeirum
      @TedWeirum  ปีที่แล้ว

      Since you have three of them it could be a good idea to get them done by a tailor.
      Hope it works out!

    • @HPCthulhu2011
      @HPCthulhu2011 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TedWeirum Next thing you know I will wear a layer underneath and convert them into a Winter pants, instead. The Vardag are okay, I only have the one pair but they also are somewhat different than pants/jeans. And I didn't even see the stretch version of the Vardag. Perhaps that would solve my concerns.

    • @TedWeirum

    • @TedWeirum
      @TedWeirum  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      absolutely! if you add up the amount for a spring/fall jacket, winter jacket, rain jacket you'd probably be in the neighborhood there too! :)

      @@TedWeirum that’s right, but other mothers have also nice daughters 😉
      I bought my first 3 in 1 jacket nearly 30 years ago and still do love the concept.
      I do like Fjällraven and I do have a lot of stuff from them. Just got me a new backpack Abisko 35. Did the first hike with it today and must say it is awesome.
      But a really good 3 in 1 Jacket do not need to cost so much money.
      Have a nice weekend 🙋🏼‍♂️

      My thoughts exactly. I have the Skogso and the Skogso Padded and the two of them cost combined 480€ in Germany by looking for sales. 600€ in one jacket makes me worried I would break it and the colours of this one are too boring for me.

      @@TedWeirum can I ask how tall you are? Do you find the outer shell to be baggy when worn by itself? I am currently trying to decide whether to keep mine or return it, as I find the outer jacket to be a bit baggy without the inner padded jacket. I don't understand how they could leave out any kind of adjustment at the waist or especially the hem, as I think that would mostly fix my problem.

    • @TedWeirum
      @TedWeirum  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m 181 cm tall.
      I think you got a really good point there, especially since it’s designed to be used with layers!

    • @maruudn253
      @maruudn253 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TedWeirum I mean, with layers it's not such a big deal, since that fills it out more. I just don't wanna look like a kid wearing my dad's jacket when I wear the outer shell by itself :p As I said, with the inner jacket I'm happy with it - I'm just not sure about the outer shell by itself.
      I'm about 180 cm as well, and I have a size large. I don't think I could go down to a medium, but I also am not sure I would ever wear the outer shell by itself since it just looks baggy. And I'm not even that skinny. I was hoping to use this as an "any kind of weather"-jacket with only the outer shell in warmer temperatures, and with the inner jacket in the winter. Now I'm second guessing my purchase... It's too expensive to not get used, you know. It just really bugs me that they didn't give it any kinds of adjustments...
