I follow a lot of people who post the same kind of videos.. and I love how you stress the importance of not feeling burned out and doing what you CAN. Cleaning is so therapeutic for me, but also so stressful when you clean the same thing over and over.
What if you put the laundry that you want to strip in the washer with the tide, borax etc. Close the lid until the water is full, maybe even let it agitate a second or two to mix everything and then open the lid and let it sit. Then when the time has passed (6 hours or over night), close the lid and let the laundry run and wash. :) This is how my mom stripped or let laundry soak when I was growing up. It's also what I hate most about having a front loader now. I used to do this with my old machine.
This is great! I've wanted to do laundry stripping but my tub is on the 3rd floor and my washing machine is on the 1st and I didn't want to carry dripping laundry three floors.
I have a high efficiency washer and it won't let me do this. It senses the load, adds the amount of water that it sees fit and then runs. It also locks the lid shut, so you can't open it until the cycle is complete or you cancel it. If you cancel it, then it spins the water out before it unlocks the lid. Super annoying. I miss my old washer. It got everything so much cleaner and took half the amount of time to run.
I love your reassurance that we don’t have to clean what you clean, etc. I’m just now becoming more responsible about my cleaning, because I see it as taking care of my home for me. You are so very kind and I love watching you!

The smell of Method’s almond scent makes me happy! I love cleaning my hardwood floors with it. I also love the smell of lemons when I’m cleaning my kitchen. It reminds me of childhood when my mom used Joy dish washing soap. 🙂 I can not even remember the last time I’ve cleaned behind my refrigerator! 🙈 That will be my goal this week. Oo, I'm glad you're okay. Did you fall out of the opening, or thru the ceiling? Give yourself a little time before you attempt it again. Think about possible reasons why ... like sinus infection, ear trouble, balance issues. Any of these may have contributed.

Definitely take your time! I would try a little goals every day! Maybe one thing and then move up to two! Don’t push yourself! I think small goals that you know are attainable are good because you won’t get overwhelmed if you can’t accomplish them. Good luck healing!

I just pulled out all of my appliances and i was amazed how much dust and stuff was behind and under them especially my washer, dryer, and refrigerator. Once i was done doing that my home just felt like a different type of clean, very satisfying!

I’ve been rewatching pretty little liars. I watched it with my mom wen the series first came out but i was in middle school so i didn’t rmb much from it and what better time to watch a long series like that than now lol
My washer is like that too but I can put it on soak and the pause the wash cycle and then lid unlocks. That way things and soak for much longer if needed.
I have the same washer/dryer as you and I found a work around to only being able to fill it with the lid closed. I like to soak my kitchen towels/cloths etc so I hooked a hose to my utility sink (it is already threaded for a hose so we just bought a very small one). Then I start a wash cycle, stop it, open the lid, and fill it with the hose. Then when I am ready to drain it, I just push start to have the cycle run. Works like a charm. Also, I thought I was the only one who forgets to start the dryer lol.

I dont get why people criticize how you clean, you do an amazing job and you have motivated me so much , I have been so depressed home with this covid and u have motivated me to use my home time and declutter, I have gotten behind my fridge, my stove. I cleaned parts of my toilet I didn't know I could. My depression has turned into a everyday fun cleaning adventure... next shopping for containers to organize my cubby as I dont actually have a pantry but when im done with my cubbies its gonna look like a pantry lol

My vote is for a roomba! Would love to have one. We have 3 cats; one orange and white short haired cat and two black long haired cats. Our carpet is a light beige so the black cats hair sticks out. We have to vacuum daily. Setting a remote vacuum to run while we're doing our night time routine with our little one would be a time saver. Good luck on the contest everyone!

The toilet might have a leaky wax ring, happened to us. Once my husband changed it, it was good to go!

Give yourself a little time before you attempt it again. Think about possible reasons why ... like sinus infection, ear trouble, balance issues. Any of these may have contributed.

Definitely take your time! I would try a little goals every day! Maybe one thing and then move up to two! Don’t push yourself! I think small goals that you know are attainable are good because you won’t get overwhelmed if you can’t accomplish them. Good luck healing!

I just pulled out all of my appliances and i was amazed how much dust and stuff was behind and under them especially my washer, dryer, and refrigerator. Once i was done doing that my home just felt like a different type of clean, very satisfying!

My washer is like that too but I can put it on soak and the pause the wash cycle and then lid unlocks. That way things and soak for much longer if needed.

I have the same washer/dryer as you and I found a work around to only being able to fill it with the lid closed. I like to soak my kitchen towels/cloths etc so I hooked a hose to my utility sink (it is already threaded for a hose so we just bought a very small one). Then I start a wash cycle, stop it, open the lid, and fill it with the hose. Then when I am ready to drain it, I just push start to have the cycle run. Works like a charm. Also, I thought I was the only one who forgets to start the dryer lol.

I dont get why people criticize how you clean, you do an amazing job and you have motivated me so much , I have been so depressed home with this covid and u have motivated me to use my home time and declutter, I have gotten behind my fridge, my stove. I cleaned parts of my toilet I didn't know I could. My depression has turned into a everyday fun cleaning adventure... next shopping for containers to organize my cubby as I dont actually have a pantry but when im done with my cubbies its gonna look like a pantry lol

I'm afraid to look at my drains! LOL You have become my favorite because you are so down to earth. I have severe Fibro and I have good days, not so good days and terrible days like today. I love that you remind us to do what we can because I feel so bad that I can't always keep up but you've helped me to give myself Grace. Thank you! I would like to see the Dyson that can convert to a hand vac given away. That vacuum looks awesome! I love watching all of these videos! I have started going home on my lunch breaks feom work (I only live 5 mins away from work) and doing a couple small things like starting a load of laundry or unloading the dishwasher. My vote is for a roomba! Would love to have one. We have 3 cats; one orange and white short haired cat and two black long haired cats. Our carpet is a light beige so the black cats hair sticks out. We have to vacuum daily. Setting a remote vacuum to run while we're doing our night time routine with our little one would be a time saver. Good luck on the contest everyone!
