Nice review man, really appreciate it. I just bought the ts30s wurkkos, and considering this. I had the astrolux EC03 (very similar to this ts30) but didn't like the beam look with sst40 in it. The beam you showed i your walk with this ts30 looks pretty nice and even. Subscribed.
Does it not have anodized threads for the tail cap? Most flashlights you can half turn or more the tail cap and lock out the battery without needing to remember the electronic combinations. Always better with mechanical lockout when storing anyway as leaving it electronically connected usually means some parasitic current drain on the battery. That is a beast of a flashlight, if I ran into a wild animal attacking and had no gun I think I'd want that strike bezel when camping. I was considering getting the Weltool strike bezel for my Maglite 3D for beat down purposes but this Wurkos might be a good choice.
Thanks! I'm still trying to figure it out. I haven't found any stats online but I took it hog hunting these last few nights and on turbo it lasted about 2-3 hours. As for the acebeam, I'm sure you could use it. You can even use an 18650 battery in this with the adapter it comes with
I agree that the TS30 is awesome! Solid, bright, and well made, especially for the money. One thing to correct is the output of 6000 lumens. That is for the CW (6500k) version. The NW 5000k you reviewed is actually 5000 lumens on highest output. Specs given on Amazon are for the 6500k version. The 5000k specs are on the Wurkkos website. As for potential turn on due to the proud switch placement, a simple 1/2 of the tailcap or 1/8 twist of the head will mechanically lockout the light and prevent accidental activation.
Hi David, thanks for the rundown on the TS30. I want to get one too, but I have some questions: Does it heat up after prolonged use on the high setting, making it hard to hold in hand? I've been hearing that it does on the BLF forum. Also, would you have any idea about the approximate runtime on this on high mode? Appreciate it if you could let me know your thoughts 😊
I don't own it but I did own a very similar light (astrolux EC03) and it heats up quickly. I thought this ts30 had anduril, but video stated it does not. If it does have anduril, you can set the max temperature so it will not get too hot. Although it will lower your lumens from high continuously in the process of moderating that temperature, so it is a give and take. The smaller size body of this light with those 3 sst40 emitters makes for a warm light while on its high setting.
100% it does. It actually gets really hot which is standard for all lights that have this kind of power (some even having the ability to start fires) But the heat was around the head and power button. You will feel some warmness on the handle but nothing that is uncomfortable. Even after having it in high mode for 10 minutes the handle never got uncomfortably hot. I'd also like to note that it has an auto ramp down when it gets too hot.
3 hours in and I’m not. Received mine today and UI is not working correctly AND ITS NOT ANDRUIL. It’s similar and would be ok enough if it worked correctly. The manual states that it has ramping and stepped modes but does not specifically state andruil like the manual for the TS30S does, which I also bought at the same time. Anyways, I’m hoping it will correct itself before the nite is over as I have had similar problems with other new flashlights I’ve bought but they usually correct themselves after using it for a couple hours otherwise back to Amazon it will go.
Great stuff, I've been binging your videos. I appreciate the information you're packing in these videos.
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying them.

Are you able to run it on high for the full 2 hrs? Someone was saying it ramps down to less than 1000 lumens after 10 minutes. I'm looking at the T30S
Great review! What is the discharge rate of the 21700 battery included with the flashlight and can I use an Acebeam high drain 20A 21700 in this one?

@@exploringparks thanks for the quick reply. more power sir!

I just looked on blf and Amazon, video is accurate and I was mistaken, the ts30 does not have Anduril UI. Great video by the way
Thanks man!

That's why I made it clear that this one does not have anduril but the TS30S does. Sucks that yours isn't working properly
Great information!
My main gripe with this light is it is a low 70 CRI light! The 90 CRI and above is much much better!
The more CRI the better, that's for sure.
@@exploringparks By the way, have you tried getting the bezel off? Mine is on really tight.
Nah, I haven't.
Knurling,grip
That always slips my mind 😂. Thank you
