YESSSSS.... ain't no bridge like a Neptune bridge. Excellent video. Absolutely my favorite Producers of all time.
Thank you bro! And especially during this era of theirs! Loved when they started hitting us with 2 bridges per song!
dont shit on Babyface like that , he is the progenitor of they whole bridge game lol
@@nicktreble no taking away from Babyface but Neptunes distinct sound and bridge are simply mesmorizing
Another bridge I like from the neptunes was 702s I still love you. Would like to see you cover maybe a Bryan Michael Cox bridge.
His stuff on day26 and Mariah are textbook
I adore that entire song.
Yeah that's a dope bridge thanks for the suggestion! And of course Bryan Michael Cox needs to get covered! Thanks for the suggestions bro!
@@itsTRBLEI agree Since you’ve been gone in particular is one of my favorites.
Awesome breakdown. I think the bridge on Dwele’s Find A Way is incredible. It sounds great and it’s got at interesting structure being only 7 bars. PLUS it ends with the phrase “back to square one again” while circling back to the hook.
Looking forward to the next breakdown!
Ooo I haven't listen to that song in so long! Gonna have a listen and check out the bridge. Thanks for the suggestion!
I love your videos on chord progressions like this especially because of the chord voicings you show and how they are arranged to flow into one another, this is one thing I have a difficulty with when writing my own progressions. Maybe you could do a video on that specifically :)
Keep up the great work, loving the regular uploads!
Hey thanks man! Super glad to hear it and thanks for the suggestion that would be a good video for sure!
Good to see a UK guy doing this sort of stuff on here!
Thanks man!
A month late on learning this one, happy I got one more on my plate for this week and the next, usually love setting the tone with these, excellent content per usual. Btw british girl group just dropped what I think is the best Rnb album of 2024 and I know it’s some fire chords and bridges in there (subtle suggestion lol). Appreciate you always.
Thank you 🙏🏽 for talking about bridges!!!! I always wonder why content creators never add bridges🤔 btw it just hit me the bridge was inspired by MJ Remember the Time!!! Same chords same key!!!
Hey bro! Glad there's folk interested! It's often the most "musical" part of a song. Some dope have the chops maybe 👀, some can't be bothered and others have been influenced by playlist culture making songs shorter I guess. And not surprised there's MJ influences here, it's all over this album! You should hear some of the unreleased stuff.
usher - "certified" or "wifey " the chords and bridge on this songs are fire
Incredible
Thank you!
This is the content I’ve been looking for. Thanks for explaining the chords and their functions. I’m definitely going to put this to practice. Songs need bridges again. 🎉 I’ll be right back with some bridge ideas. Tyler, the creator has a bunch. 😅
This is a great lesson on bridges, please do more on bridges ... Thank you
Thank you!
jt - rock your body, bey - kitty kat, toni braxton - hit the freeway, kelis - sugar honey iced tea
Oh my… The Neptunes bridges were out of this world! Maybe that’s why they’re the Neptunes!
I think you're onto something bro haha
bless up stef!
Bless up bro!
Bruh 💥💥💥💥
Loving this new series Bruv! Your lessons are always easy to understand and follow. Hope all is well with you! 🙏🏾
Yoo brother thank you man, super glad to hear! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thought the same thing. It's my first time I listen to him but this so straight forward. Also using numbers to explain progressions is easier than to use keys.
Never disappoint ✊🏿💯🔥
Much love bro! 🙏🏾
Don Blackmon’s “hearts desire “ bridge ….plus plus “poo poo la la “ bridge to outro….( anything by Roy Ayers, Marvin Gaye, Teddy Riley, …..Mary.j.Blige “ real love “…
…Luther Vandross “ A house is not a home “ 🌌
Oh now you're getting real musical, I'm tryna ease them (and myself) in 😂. Some dope suggestions here. 🙏🏾
you broke dat down bruh.. lol.. outstanding video.. I wish know chords like that.. Wow.. I like to watch you play them.. lol.. How bout that, make a video of you just playing chords... I've been watching for a while, can't lie been lazy, but you make gorgeous chords.. you really know how to hook em up.. I'd like to hear you playing the harp.. or just hook a brova up with a 8 bar loop.. That Stefan Guy, London.. I said your name in my joint.. lol.. I learned a lot from you bro. Or a listening session, you got some fonk bruh.. lol.. Blessing Stefan...
great vid
Thanks man!
Chad did those chords...
Yeah I've heard that he's responsible for a lot of the chords and bridges in their songs. I'm super bummed out about their dispute at the moment man.
Do Chante Got A Man
Thanks for the suggestion bro! Added to the list! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
What in the world keyboard is that?
It's the Kontrol S49 MK3 sguy.co/kontrol-mk3
stefan you do really good work but its sad that you don't use these type of software that let people see in live what keys you're pushing.
For beginnner like me it's reaaly to get confuse , please add one
Hey thanks for the feedback. I've received a few comments like this so I'm considering. Generally I've never liked the way it looks and this has never been a fully fledge keyboard channel, more so a beat making channel teaching some theory. So I didn’t really want that asthetic. And opted to create printable chord sheets instead. But what’s most important is helping the viewer so I’ll try get it sorted for the next video then see what the feedback is. I imagine everyone would prefer it lol.
I don’t have trouble seeing the keys, or what another musician is playing but I have to remember to put myself in the shoes of someone starting out. Thanks for the reminder and helping to improve the videos!
☺
Please break down the bridge to Take it from here by Justin Timberlake or I Don’t know by Usher
Another great video Stefan. I sent you a message on your site in regards to a musical composition for a song that I have. Please get back in touch with me. It'll mean alot 💙💯
