This is a great class because your teaching method is encouraging to speak Hawaiian. Although I did not understand most of your Hawaiian sentences, I started to get most of it towards the end. Just few days ago I’ve gone through the Hawaiian numbers and I was able to understand when you use ‘umi, the number ten, when encouraging to speak to ten people. Mahalo nui loa.
This lady must have drank like 20 cups of coffee becsuse she is SO hyper, but i love it becsuse she cracks me up. Lmao! She's got a very cute and Fun personality with bright glowing eyes! Lol She did a very nice job of teaching Hawaiian! 👍🏾🤙🏽😊
I’m very intrigued! I’m from urban Detroit Mi but love traveling n learning about other cultures and languages. Definitely gotta visit Hawaii in a couple years. Love your vids n helpfulness 💯👊🏼👍🏼✌🏼
Alexander Gabriele Frattini yes! We are trying to organize the videos in the best order. Would you rather have shorter videos with less "practice" or have the lessons and practice together?
Anyway to type the phrases out on each screen so we can see them and hear them to put them together?? I’m learning from your videos, Olelo Oiwi book, Drop and Duolingo app
Please keep teaching this! I have a question for you. Is Hawaiian spoken the same way as English? Because I'm learning from Duolingo and they aren't explaining the way the words are put together.
@@speakhawaiian7323 Thank you, I figured its very different, but the way they are wording some sentences on Duolingo- is as if you were speaking the same way in Hawaiian that you would in English. That's why I started doing my own research and found you! Aloha and Mahalo :)
Danielle Winterholler there are certain patterns that could be similar. I would suggest to you to get a book like "Kalei Ha'aheo" that has many patterns and we also have videos here that talk about the basic patterns. I don't do to much on patters because someone can learn ALL the patterns but if they don't actually speak, the knowledge of the patterns don't matter. But I do understand that some need to understand as well. Many different types of learner's.y friend Ka'analike takes time to explain patterns and she even puts the words on the screen. Check out her videos on this channel💯💯
Danielle Winterholler if you can remember that in Hawaiian the describing adjective would follow the noun rather than adjective and then noun. You are basically structuring the sentence in reverse. Isn’t that correct @SpeakHawaiian
Aliha could you please type the correct spelling on: Hele o'e i ke ana'ina hea? (I know i spelt it incorrectly) Even the response for where on Kauai are you from? Correctly & the correct spelling for the response... Please Mahalo piha! Aloha
