We are around the same age! It is so nice to find others with the same hobby around my age to share! I hope you are doing well!!! I love what you are working on!
For being a young gal in college with all the work and reading you have to do I am amazed at how much stitching you actually did last year. Please don't apologize for not finishing some small stitching. You are working hard in college too! You are such a breath of fresh air!
Recently resigned after 21 years teaching high school biology. High school students love elementary school stuff, decorations, modified activities/lessons, etc. When you finish that adorable piece, do hang it in your classroom. The students will ask about it and some will want to start cross stitching, too. My school ended up having a knitting club for students and a group of teachers who used to meet up to share various crafting. Loved your WIP parade.
Your Longdog Sampler finish is awesome! The Mum design is so pretty, you chose beautiful colors! You have a nice variety of stitching projects to choose from and I look forward to seeing your progress. Happy Stitching!
I love to see new generations of stitchers pick up our obsession! I love your work! Sad to see you drop the wip that didn't have the colors written down. It was a beauty. Looking forward to future videos!
You go, Julie! I'm a secondary History teacher! Wow! That first project you showed. I love the colors!! Even though you're abandoning a few projects, what you've accomplished in such a short amount of stitching time is awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Oh my gosh those monthly samplers are ADORABLE!!! If you frame them in identical frames you can switch them out every month. Pink is my favorite color too.
Really enjoyed your flosstube, just found you so subscribed and rang the bell. Your stitching is Gorgeous and to think you haven't been stitching that long....your doing an amazing job. I also stitch on 18ct white Aida doing full coverage. Right now im Stitching Mr and Mrs Cardinal by The Cross Stitch Studio and there is alot of the whites you were talking about with your snowman project...I have no problem at all seeing the different white stitches on the white 18ct Aida,so please don't dread doing your project. Looking forward to seeing more of your work and Thank you for choosing the teaching profession...teachers are greatly needed . Stay safe and enjoy what your stitching 🥰
Your Pandemic is the best one I have seen. Its so Beautiful you really did a great job especially for not stitching for that long, you are very talented with putting colors together. All your stitching is so pretty. Take care.
Omg am so glad to see someone else uses the shein bags as project bags. My stitchy friends couldn’t believe it but now I know am not the only one,I can finally tell them. Great projects by the way
Your Pandemic is by far the prettiest thing I have ever seen! I watched your wip parade yesterday and I ordered that pattern this morning. You have to get a picture of yours and send it to Long Dog Samplers, they have a stitched gallery and nothing in it even comes close to how beautiful yours is.
I have just been bingeing on wip parades, and stumbled across your video. i'm so glad I did! That Long Dog Pandemic is breathtakingly beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on other projects. xx
Love the variety of stitching you show. You've put a good amount of stitches in last year. Although you said you did not like unpicking stitches, I would unpick some stitches of the blackwork sal untill you have a rectangular, which you can ffo than. Happy stitching! Groetjes, Evelien
I’m amazed by all your projects, Julie! You have a great variety of styles and are obviously a talented stitcher. I have no idea how you find the time as a college student. Please keep track of all your projects so in the future you can look back and see them. Congrats on the all A’s! Cheers from Spain....
So happy to see the video today , was wondering where you have been! Those HAEDS are stunning and so much work it looks like. Love the progress on the WIPS ! Hope you have a great time stitching on whatever you choose to stitch,(people say it's not a race) enjoy them! Happy Stitching!
Hey Julie, I loved your video. The scarecrow is gorgeous. Love the Autumn sampler. I would for sure hang it no matter what grade you teach. You might recruit another young stitcher. I so wish I had discovered cross stitching when I was younger. Happy Stitching.
Liked your video today. You have many beautiful projects. I loved your color choices for pandemic. If you would share your color choices for pandemic I would be greatful. Never knew what colors to use so I never started it. Yours is fantastic! I also planned on doing all the Counry Cottage monthly charts but I only finished January. I started February but I just don't enjoy it. For me it's the fabric. I used the called for as well. I am going to restart February on a different linen. Hopefully that will make the difference. Keep stitching!!!!!!
Hi Julie, I just found your flosstube and I loved it! Your Pandemic stitch is amazing, I need to purchase that pattern and I love the Quaker Halloween pattern. I haven't attempted any SAL's yet, not sure how I'd do lol. I also picked up cross stitching during college, stopped for 10 years and am back at it. Looking forward to more of your Flosstubes and seeing your progress!
Loved seeing your projects. You get a lot done for someone as busy as you are! I graduated with a secondary education degree in Social Studies with an emphasis in History and a minor in Economics. I was certified 7-12 and enjoyed teaching both high school and middle school. Wishing you well with your degree-we need enthusiastic teachers. My two pieces of teaching advice passed down from my grandma (who taught 5th grade) are first to remember everyday that you are teaching students not a subject. The kids are the focus, not the content. Secondly-remember every day to thank support staff in the school. Janitors, secretaries, volunteers-anybody-who works at the school who is not a teacher or an administrator is a key person in how your
Sorry! In how your school functions. Treat them with respect and take every opportunity to thank them for their work. You probably didn’t need to read this but I thought I’d share. I love your TH-cam channel and projects. Take care
Wow, your stitching is so beautiful! Your Longdog Pandemic piece is gorgeous! Love those color choices. Mountain Cabin is looking beautiful. I had never seen “Dreaming of Mums”. It is gorgeous, and your colors are fantastic! If I wasn’t keeping myself on a “No Buy” I’d be putting that in my cart.😂
Hi. Watched your video. I thought your Pandemic was beautiful and very creative on the color changes. Your blackwork piece looked beautiful as well. Please finish it. You may never do one again but what a waste to leave it after all that work. Keep up the good work. You seem very accomplished at a young age.
Happy 2022. LOVE the butterfly piece with all those bright colors. I agree, the Dimensions piece doesn't need the background stitched in. I could see you doing subversive or single motif designs in your classroom.
thank you!! I actually taught myself by buying a small kit from Walmart, and then discovered flosstube and have learned so much from watching other stitchers!
Your projects are beautiful. I'm bummed though. I was going to ask for your color conversion for the Spanish Tiles stitchalong from Linen and Threads. They are gorgeous! You have a knack for choosing colors.
Just be super careful with that seam ripper-I think many of us have pulled the fabric out of alignment or ripped the fabric. It can be fixed, but not fun. I use a seam ripper but have learned my lesson the hard way.😢
Hi Julie, great stitching and well done on stopping when you are not “feeling it”. Can I suggest you make a needle case from your 2021 fox and rabbit SAL. It’s stunning! Kate
What a twist on pandemic! That piece is stunning! Impressed to say the least! As young as you are, and the fact that you’ve not been stitching that long, yet you are working on much more involved pieces than I ever have! (And I’m old) You’re doing a fantastic job! I’m going to subscribe because I will need to be more amazed by your progress! Thx for sharing! You have some lovely stitching there! Oh! P.S. My friend completed a snowy piece but the snow had metallic in it. Try a Kreniek (sp?) or other metallic floss so that you’ll be able to visually see the snow glisten. Or use a thicker floss like a Perle Cotton or something with dimension. They have other floss out there that might give you a snow-like effect.
Hey Julie just stumbled across your channel and subscribed straight away! Your working on some beautiful projects and your stitching is great to say you only started 2020! The long dog was my fave! Epic finish! Take care Lauren (aka Flossabilities) 💗🧵
I stumbled across this flosstube of you and I loved every minute of it. You did an awesome job on the Longdog one! Going to subscribe so I can see your progresses throughout the year 😉
I have never even thought of doing a longdawg sampler until I saw yours! Seriously thinking of starting that! Will you display yours? Frame it? What is your plan? I love that you incorporated color.
I think your pandemic piece is beautiful! I would love to know the colors you used. Not sure I could be as good as you in deciding where to mark the colors. Love all your finishes and wips!
Wonderful Job!! I have always loved cross stitch since I was about 12 yrs old. I quit years ago but recently started again. My issue has always been...what do I do with them when I'm done!!?? What are your plans for yours?
Great wipes and finishes ❤️ I also have the monthly ones just wanted to mention you’ve missed a little back stitch for the envelopes on February not sure if you realised ❤️❤️❤️
I have only been stitching since March 2020, so almost two years. I honestly don't have much advice except for just jumping straight into 'scary' projects and watching youtube tutorials! I'm sure you're great though!
You are correct that even if the stitches are in color, it's still called blackwork. Loved that last, full-coverage piece you showed. What was it called? I missed it.
I'm sure someone has probably already told you.... if you go to Purple's website, you sign up and can get emails and have access to the rest of 2021 for free yet!!
Hmmm... It seems like such a waste to just toss all that hard work on the Peppermint Purple SAL. Couldn't you just complete those last half-filled and empty boxes you've already stitched, rip out the start of the border you have done already, and then frame what's there? No one else will know that it was supposed to be twice as big! :)
Hey Julie! I love your WIP and i want to design you a custom pattern (free of charge of course), please let me know if there is a way I can contact you
I have seen pandemic in so many WIP parades. I love yours best. You are a girl after my old heart. I LOVE your colors. Absolutely beautiful.
We are around the same age! It is so nice to find others with the same hobby around my age to share! I hope you are doing well!!! I love what you are working on!
I was just about to say the same thing. I'm in my late twenties and feel like there's few people my age enjoying it.
For being a young gal in college with all the work and reading you have to do I am amazed at how much stitching you actually did last year. Please don't apologize for not finishing some small stitching. You are working hard in college too! You are such a breath of fresh air!

You go, Julie! I'm a secondary History teacher! Wow! That first project you showed. I love the colors!! Even though you're abandoning a few projects, what you've accomplished in such a short amount of stitching time is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Julie…please count in your finishes each of your credits at school. You are accomplishing so much and your work is truly lovely.
I love your videos. I love your work. Can you show how you get your back of your Crosstitch look perfect at the back. Thank you.

I so appreciate seeing younger stitchers!!! Wow! You are an amazing artist. Who taught you how to stitch?

So well done!
If your not going to reuse the floss in stead of picking it out I would use a seam ripper and rip them all. Lol. Love the video!

Glad to recently find your videos! Your projects are amazing. Keep it going!

Hey, Julie! I love the color of the room you are in. Could you tell me what color that is? It would be perfect for a room i am redecorating

Happy new year!! Thank you!!
I did my wip parade on the 5th. It's totally fine!
haha true! i did watch yours a couple days ago & love your projects!! (i am so bad about not commenting on videos😅)
If you are completely picking it out and not saving the thread you can carefully use a seam ripper - it will go fast.
Wonderful Job!! I have always loved cross stitch since I was about 12 yrs old. I quit years ago but recently started again. My issue has always been...what do I do with them when I'm done!!?? What are your plans for yours?
Was wondering what tablet you use .. I’ve been trying to find a smaller lighter one and the one you use looks like it might work.
I believe it is the 9th generation Kindle Fire! I bought it from Target and it is the cheapest one that they sell!
PLEASE !!!! I NEED the colors that you used for the pandemic sampler!!!!
It is spectacular!!!!!
Thank you!! They are DMC 310, 208, 798, 961, and 3346
Great wipes and finishes ❤️ I also have the monthly ones just wanted to mention you’ve missed a little back stitch for the envelopes on February not sure if you realised ❤️❤️❤️
