Great wip parade, and you are right, choose what you want to stitch and when you want to stitch it, life is full of things we have to do and we are all under pressure, so our stitching is a release for all of us, so you need to enjoy what your stitching. 💖
Just found your TH-cam. Enjoyed your video of the WIP parade. One of my favorite things to watch. Our stitching styles are different but I’m always fascinated by full coverage.
Really enjoyed your WIP parade. Ditching only 2 isn't bad. I am impressed that you are willing to restart pieces with so much stitching on them but it makes sense that if you aren't enjoying the process that you switch so you can enjoy it.
Congratulations on reaching 2k subscribers. Really enjoyed your wip parade it’s great to see all your projects. Mini deer creek is really coming along you’ll have it done in no time
Helpful hints. First rinse out with water some of the sizing in the Aida to make it more playable and less apt to get severe wrinkles, then dry it by ironing it. Next, use threads and baste several stitches at the very top edge to tell you which way is the top.
My children will be choosing 1wip that I work on each day. I have set goals for each project that I would like to meet by end of next year. If I achieve it I will reward myself as I stitching from stash next year. I have 44 wips. I tend to work on more than one project a day. On weekends it’s my choice.
Enjoyed your WIP parade, Jantina. TYFS! Glad you were able to have some alone time (except for all of us! 😄). My plans for next year are simple but will keep me busy. Need to finish organizing my stitchy stuff and will work on a lot of gifts. Take care and see you next time!
I’ve never been a huge planner for cross stitch, but I would set goals. I have one large HAED that I’m about 67% finished with. I’d really like to finish that sometime in the next couple of years. It’s totally doable, but I’m not going to force myself to stitch on it. I really like stitching whatever I want. This is my hobby and my real life is so stressful. I hope you have a wonderful 2022!!!!!
Altijd heerlijk zo’n wipparade!!
So enjoyed your WIP parade, but I always enjoy all your videos. Have to say that I loved learning that you are a blonde who dyes her hair red because I am too. My natural color is medium blonde, but I started coloring it red more than years ago and can't imagine ever going back. My poor husband has never even seen my natural color except in old photos. 😊 Happy New Year and happy stitching to you! I look forward to seeing what you and the other Stitchkateers get up to this year!
I just discovered your channel and really enjoyed watching your WIP parade. I just discovered HAED mid 2021 and now have 67 patterns!! Some are free patterns but the rest I got mostly on sale. I'm currently working on a HAED called My Christmas Wish Ornament by Dona Gelsinger and hope to have it finished in the next month or so. I'm also working on Shih Tzu for Christmas Ornament by Dona Gelsinger, Mini Footprints by Sandra Kuck, Mini Catfish by Annie Stegg and Beachcomber's Bounty by Aimee Stewart. I also have Ciro Marchetti's Sleeptime QS that I will be starting in the new year. I also have a pattern that I created myself from a picture I saw online of a red headed girl in a green dress holding a fox that I plan to get back to and hopefully have a finish. In 2021 I had a joy Sunday finish that was a pair of foxes cuddling that I turned into a decorative pillow for my bed. Happy New Year and I look forward to see your progress on your projects (especially the HAED ones.. 😁)
hello jantina, love all your ongoing Wips, ive found when i used to do black aida (dont do them anymore, my eyes dont cope) i would place a white towel or T-shirt on my lap and stitch with the t-shirt as a reflective background. It makes it so much eaasier to see where the holes are. buy for now keep stitching
Love your stitching, really beautiful and interesting projects. This may help with darker fabric i have a small desk lamp, I set it on the floor like back lighting and use my regular lighting for project.
I loved your wip parade. ❤❤ Don't put any deadlines on yourself, it takes the fun out of your hobby and that is why you do it. Too bad we don't live in the same country. I'd try to buy your 18ct from you. My 70 year old eyes don't like the little itty bitty holes. 👀😄👀 Enjoy your evening and Happy New Year!! 🎉🥂🎉
I loved seeing your WIP parade. Yes, ditch the ones you don’t like! I totally agree. I do that with books I read too. There’s too many others to stitch. My plans are to stitch more smalls this year and try and finish them myself. I also want to finish my Long Dog (Anzak) and continue my latest addiction, the new Owl Forest and so many others. I’ll also continue choosing what I want to stitch. No challenges that tell me what I have to stitch. Happy New Year, my friend!
My plans are one huge sampler from owl forest embroidery, two long dog samplers and lots of stockings from blackbird design …. There are so many beautiful pattern 🥰
I love your wips. Especially the stitching in Quilts and the beautiful beautiful sampler that you don’t want to work on anymore. I love samplers ❤️. I wish you a happy new year. Stay healthy and keep stitching 🙋♀️ greetings from Germany, Bettina
Just subscribed, not sure why I hadn't before...thought I had. I think I got you confused with the Rocking Stitcher. Loved your WIP parade and thoughts. My plans are 3 Focus until I finish pieces. A couple of year round projects where I have monthly goals. And some added challenges via Black Needle Society's 2022 Stitching Journal. Feels all a bit overwhelming but Stitching is what I do as I am retired and now consider Stitching my full time job. Happy New Year to you and your family.
Hi, I've just found your channel from watching Rocking Stitcher, so I need to go watch from #1 Just an idea, what about stitching an arrow pointing up on the top of the fabric, this will help you remember which way up it goes :) Hi from England
I love seeing WIP Parades as well Jantina - I will be doing one myself sometime this week. Love all of your WIPS - they are so pretty. My Go To Fabric for my HAEDS is 25 Count Lugana - I do have one started on 18 Count Fabric. I am just like you - I stitch in what I want when I want. Right now I am stitching on QS Library Fairy 5 by Randal Spangler. My Plan is to finish this one in the new year. This is the only plan I have. I also have some Non HAEDS Projects that I want to finish in the New Year as well. One of them is a Mirabilia Pattern - Just the Beads to finish up. Another one that I want to finish is Alphabet Soup next year as well. If I can finish these three projects in the new year I will be real happy. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🪡🧵❤️
Hi, jantina. Am Jen. Am an avid viewer a stitcher and a full coverage lover, everytime you posted a video theres no way that I will miss it. Thats how it works😄 just wanted to know because I noticed your stitching on 20ct, is it nicer coverage than 18ct am debating to purchase 20ct if it not much big difference. Your reply much appreciated thank you. HAPPY STITCHING. loved your Humming Bird project.
Always enjoy your wip parades since we have such similar tastes :D Sounds like a perfect year goal to just stitch what you want and feel like! I have been pondering my plans and hope to do a wip parade myself later this week as soon as I get over my cold. Right now I sound like a boy going through puberty trying to talk - LOL! Excited to watch your progress through out the year, with my wish list ready to fill out - LOL! Have a safe, happy and healthy New Year! - Laura
Hi! It was so nice to spend my stitchy time with you today. Thank you for the WIP parade. You have a lot of lovely works. My plans are one main focus piece and smaller monthly focus pieces I think.
Loved to see your WIP parade, you have lots and there gorgeous. Love how you've started pieces for your kids, and then smaller ones aswell because they will be finished faster 😉 Next year I will be stitching on whatever I feel like aswell, because with 2 very young kids, is just no planning. Just do whatever makes you happy! ❤ love, Laura
Thanks jantina, loved your wip parade. I’m with you on stitching what you want. I wasn’t going to do WIPGO this year for that reason but I came up with a new plan that suited me not to have to stitch on a specific project. Look forward to seeing you again in 2022, happy new year 🧵🧵🪡🪡
Just found your channel through Ailarra. I love all your stitching and your attitude - I'm also all for the stitch what you want when you want! Have a happy new year, looking forward to seeing your progress and new starts!!
Thank you for your wip parade 😃 I love your projects, especially spring fairy. I’m stitching woodland party by paine free crafts and welcome home by haed. I’m going to start island life by letistitch next year. I look forward to seeing your progress throughout next year.
Loved seeing your WIPs! And congrats on reaching 2k!! 🥳 As for plans, I just talked about mine in my latest video, and I think it's a nice combo of full coverage focus along with all my other WIPs in a fun way! (of course I would think so 😂) But yes, you definitely want to enjoy your stitching!
Love seeing all your projects, especially foxy fall. I have a small full coverage of two unicorns that is 40% done. I keep considering ufo ing it as I am not happy with the detail but can't decide.
I always enjoy WIP parades. So much fun to see what you’re working on. I plan on doing WIPgo this year for the first time to help me give attention to some of my older WIPs. I did a bit of inventory this month to decide what I still love and what I should ditch. It was eye opening how much I had that I really didn’t care for anymore. I’m going to be a bit more selective in what I start.
So many beautiful WIPs, I look forward to their growth through the new year. And be confident about your homemade project bags...they're beautiful!! Hell, I'd even buy one of them for myself! 🥰 Happy new year, fellow friend stitcher!
Great wip parade, and you are right, choose what you want to stitch and when you want to stitch it, life is full of things we have to do and we are all under pressure, so our stitching is a release for all of us, so you need to enjoy what your stitching. 💖
Lovely wip parade. Enjoy your stitching in 2022. 🙂❤️
I enjoyed your video very much!! Loved seeing all of your projects, they are all beautiful 😊
I especially loved Pandemic!!

Dank je voor je video. Zoveel mooie projecten. En je projectbags zijn ook prachtig. Happy stitching!

Beautiful sips. I’m doing the Challigraphe from Nimue, and I love it very much.
The nimue paterns are so pretty and fun to do. Enjoy the stitching 🤗 x Jantina

Loved your WIP Parade! I’m going to message you…. So many things to discuss. 🥰
I reckon King Coda by HAED should be your 22K in 2022, I'd love to see you do some on it lol
Thats a good idea! And also.... no plans just enjoying the things i stitch on but king coda will get some more love for shure😊
Beautiful work! For the sleeping princess one did you get your own floss and fabric or a kit through HAED?
Hi! I always kit my own with the pdf. Shipping costs to the netherlands are not fun...😅
Lovely projects.
How many threads do you use to stitch on 20 count Aida?
Only one😉
Is your king coda 2 over 1?
Yes it is 2 over one one 18 count. Thats what is making him this big lol
