I suspect what happened for you @barry7608 was that you had a permit to travel through aboriginal land to get to Docker, which allows you to transit (pass through as you said) UKTNP. To stop in the park for photos or to use the loo, you would have needed to pay the entry fee. I am assuming that you did not buy an entry ticket which is why you were told you were not allowed to stop or take photos, especially as the road to Docker River turns right well before you get to Uluru, thus not being the road to Docker River. Many national parks in different states have entry fees, and this will probably increase in the future the way costs of things are going.

Take a few deep calming breaths. Filming is not banned in national parks (very clickbaity thumbnail you have there), filming for commercial purposes is licenced in National Parks and has been for a long time in all states. How do I know I used to be a ranger (not in Qld though). Licencing or the need to get a permit is a way of managing the way parks are presented to the public, that could be as an advertisement, as an educational spot on tv or a tourism feature. Not all activities are allowed in all parks, and filming and promoting the wrong activity in the wrong place leads to problems for visitors and park staff. Recreational activities are spread across different parks to provide different recreational opportunities to visitors and try and separate incompatible activities ie swimming in croc country; mountainbiking on walking tracks etc. This licencing/permit system worked really well until social media came along, and now that people can make money from posting videos online with the potential to make money, (I assume you have your 400 watch hours and over 1000 subscribers), you are now filming for commercial purposes and need a permit. If you get friendly with the local park staff they can help you out with advice on what to definitely not film in the park they are managing, or what they would like to promote. By playing by the rules you could actually create some really powerful content that could help people enjoy parks by knowing how they can and can't behave in them. I best sign off now before I write a whole thesis on the topic. Best of luck with it all.
Thank you for reaching out, if you read the email they never once talked about me getting a licence they just came at me with threats and telling me I have no right to film. Clearly not interested in giving out licence and more interested in using the law to ban filming. 2nd I should not have to buddy up and become friends with people and have them influence what I want to film. Last I check the national parks are on Australian public land. The Rangers you want me to buddy up with are the care takers of that land not the owners and have no right deciding what I film and what I don't. Your comment shows just how narrow minded rangers are and just how power obsessed you all are. A clean out needs to happen and the parks need to be handed over to local clubs to look after. Who will do what's right for the people and the park. Do not respond everyone commenting here do not like you and do not want you looking after the parks anymore.
National parks have caused catastrophic damage due to catastrophic fires they helped create….they prevented much needed hazard reduction burns! They are an organisation that has failed time after time. It’s our land not your land. F national parks they are scum and do nothing to protect these area’s!
Yeah no worries bud. You arrogant pricks are the kind of power trippers that feel you're the rightful owners and gatekeepers of land we all pay for. More and more we see an attitude that unless you're fit and hale and strong enough to backpack in, then you don't get to use parks in any other manner. Every single time there's been fires in national parks around my home in Blue Mountains it's been exacerbated by Sparks and Wildfires goons who have spent years limiting access to RFS crews, obstructed clubs from clearing fire trails, done stuff all hazard reduction of their own and as a result homes adjacent to the park are put at risk. Then have the gall to stand up in front of town meetings and try to make out they're the keepers of cool and knowledge of management. Get stuffed
Onya Dylan, Tourism Australia should be paying you for your free plugs, unfortunately all this WOKE BS doesn’t help & then Albo giving everything back to Native title doesn’t help either. I think SKT and Lil & Jake YT channels couldn’t do any filming in Tasmania NP’s without paying a $2400 permission fee making it not viable for them either. Native title holders also have played into this with claiming sacred sights etc, and completely ban drone usage in a lot of places too. I don’t blame you for ur fury over this, it is a lot of BS, what has happened to Australia? Take care buddy and don’t let yourself get into too much shit over this, this sort of bureaucracy loves to exert their powers & make real assholes of themselves, ‘just because they can!’ & remember, they won’t have a legal bill like you will either after it all is over. I’m glad you played the ASD card, it could help give you a little protection when it comes to legal matters, but I would suggest you do some homework on this and maybe get a bit of legal advice or backup before pushing it into the courts, as I doubt you will get a reasonable or fair response in our legal system. Wish you the best in ur endeavour.
Hey mate, Thanks for watching and the comment, I'm all ways a fan of sticking up for the little guy. If it goes to court which I doubt it will, as the government has to pay legal fees out of tax payers funds, to do this it needs to be justified. Taking on a guy with ASD and a tiny TH-cam channel has no justification, if they attempted it I will smash them with a discrimination case as I'm one of millions doing the same thing. It's illegal to single people out. If you wouldn't mind sharing this video on your socials it would mean alot to me. Thanks mate.
Thanks for watching and the comment mate👍 means alot. I'd appreciate if you could share the video on your socials, help the video go bigger to top this silly law getting any traction
You’re completely wrong here. Read the email. It clearly states that individuals who are promoting their own business cannot use footage within a national park to create financial gain. TH-cam is a platform that millions of people use to create a financial income. You’re using TH-cam for exactly that. Anybody can film whatever they want in a park. What you’re trying to click bait is that no one can film. Again, read the email or get a lawyer to read it for you. You’re in the wrong here because of getting paid for social media content from TH-cam.
Mate your comment contradicts it's self, you said I'm wrong and people can use the parks for TH-cam platform, then you said down the bottom I'm getting money from TH-cam so that's why I can't use it. Any way I clearly state that I'm getting paid 25c per video it costs me hundreds more to film the content so I actually loose money not make money. Yet I'm being told I can't film, that is horribly wrong.
Tell me about it Pamela, I just hope I can get this video big enough to make enough noise to stop them trying to push this law on others. I'd hate to see all the big time TH-camrs drop off. Hey if you can a chance I'd love it if you could share this video on your socials, would be massive help 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
I have looked into this after listening to you... you failed to tell everyone its more to do with Commercial permits that are needed... the likes of tourists taking film or photos is allowed, so your click bait is incorrect... and lets face it, you are barely at risk with only 2000+ subs... I would ignore it... If the likes of a film crew that was say "national Geographic", then yeah permits may be needed for reasons... but aint no one preventing you taking a small video of nature any where.....
Hey mate, you didn't look into it very well. I put the law up on the screen they sent me. You can't film with out permission if you are intending to make money from the video. Even if that is 25c. Yes its stupid as you said I'm a tiny channel but that doesn't seem to matter they can stop anyone who could make money.
@@Off.Track4x4 ummm you didn't read my reply very well... yes you cant make money, but again you failed to tell everyone that only stands for commercial, money making in general is classed as commercial, duh... your implication via click bait and so on fails to show that you can film for yourself, share with family, social media etc etc... but if you intend to make money from it you pay.. its simple really... I don't agree with it, but the law is the law, what you going to do, protest and lay in the street, strap your self to a tree??? ... here is a clue, dont tell any one where you are and film... they have to create an entire court case to prove your position... be smarter man

Get stuffed
They want money.
I'm starting to wonder if that's what behind it from what I've heard is happening in Tazzie.
Hey mate,
Thanks for watching and the comment, I'm all ways a fan of sticking up for the little guy.
Well said mate 👍
Make or lose money, it’s still a platform for an income.
That’s why they’ve sent you the email.
All you need to do is seek prior approval.
What bullshit;t.
Tell me about it Pamela, I just hope I can get this video big enough to make enough noise to stop them trying to push this law on others. I'd hate to see all the big time TH-camrs drop off.
Hey if you can a chance I'd love it if you could share this video on your socials, would be massive help 😊
Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
I don't agree with it, but the law is the law, what you going to do, protest and lay in the street, strap your self to a tree??? ... here is a clue, dont tell any one where you are and film... they have to create an entire court case to prove your position... be smarter man
WE PAY TAXES, FU.
Bro I hear you! Seems like we are paying taxes for something they don't want us to use anymore!
If you wouldn't mind sharing the video on your social it would be a massive help! More noise this video makes less the government will want to push this shit on people.
Thanks for watching and commenting by the way 😊👍
Who cares.....Stay out.
What is wrong with you! Why the fuck should we stay out of national Parks they are for all of us to enjoy regardless of nationality or believes.
@@Off.Track4x4 Get back on ya meds.
