LYRICS: Sometimes when I look in the mirror I still see your face resting on my shoulder And my heart beats so fast That I start to feel alive again And the rain, it washes away all the pain ‘Cause it feels like the sound of your voice And I’m comforted by the sweet smells of dew Because the sunrise reminds me of you And I’ll always find you again and again And I’ll love every version of you And you’re never truly gone As long as a part of you in me lives on ‘Cause I’ll always find you again and again And I’ll lose you every time But my love, I will hold you close to me ‘Til you fade from my arms peacefully
"Life is like a piece of paper, and the writing is our lives, our stories. When you only have 90 years, the ink turns to gold, so valuable are the words, the days you live, because soon the story will end. But what if you have a never-ending page, a bottomless inkwell, the more you write the less it all means, that's out curse, we live so long that it's not even life anymore. Were not living forever. We're dying forever." -Lucy Lacemaker
@@bleachedout805 I have been rewatching them myself and falling in love all over again. My friends and people I knew kept telling me to watch Doctor Who and that Matt Smith was amazing. I, of course revolted because I can never start a passion when everyone else is passionate about it. Peter Capaldi was my first Doctor, I randomly watched one of his episodes and I fell in love. Naturally everyone I talked to had stopped watching it, but I was so intrigued. Eventually I went back and watched 9,10, and 11. All are amazing, but Capaldi will always hold a special place in my heart.
This reminds me of the love story in Seven Deadly Sins. The eternal cycle of falling in love with your soulmate and seeing them pass away must be heart wrenching, but that’s just how much the immortal loves their soulmate. Their love is ever prevailing that they’ll go through all that pain to see their soulmate again. It’s saddening but heartwarming at the same time.
Same this was my reaction: Me: watches the season about their love curse TH-cam: I recommend this song for you Me: this is.... isnt it?..... why world why.....
I'm writing a novel where a couple is given the gift/curse of immortality but one of them takes the burden of remembering everything and not being able to even sleep while the other is in a constant haze, only remembering the last 10 years of her life or so. Slowly she can't even remember her love, and he has to watch her forget everything about them, but he continues to be in her life and help her in small unnoticeable ways so she can live life without the burden of their choice. This song just captures so perfectly what I am trying to capture with him watching her live life without him.
When 1 of my best friends died. She said "don't worry in another life in a different timeline we'll still be best of friends". Its been 10 years but I'm still holding unto those words. I forever will.
Ok, I've listened to this song a million times on repeat on Spotify, but this is the first time I've teared up while listening to it because I read your comment ಥ_ಥ I believe that you will find one another again, whether it be in the little things in life that remind you of her, or because of something miraculous happening.
My best friend, and my soul mate, committed suicide a few months ago and she always used to say "I think we knew each other in a past life" This song is an emotional gut-punch
"Would you love someone if it meant losing them again and again?" Well, it would definitely be painfull, losing a loved one all the time. But you could somehow get used to it, because you would know that you will meet them again. No matter how many times their body will die, their soul would be eternal.
Yeah. It'd be hard losing them, but worth it if you really do love them, and I don't know if it would be that easy to get used to it, but it would probably be less hard. And there'd still be really happy moments, ones that'd outweigh the bad.
@@Runealin Exactly! And after the death of the significant other, when they meet up again, it would actually be awesome, because they would experience falling in love with each other again and again. That feeling would definitely recompansate the death every time.
Absolutely. Even if sometimes it will hurt so much, and you might wish you never met them, you will still be in love, ready for the next time they come and sweep you off your feet.
It's also more than just the body though. It's the memories of that live that pass with it. Even if they're the same person, all the moments they shared are gone. I imagine that's one of the most painful parts of it.
She looked over to the lifeless body of her lover. So peaceful, yet not a trace of who she was remained. Her trembling hands clasped at her limp fingers “I-I can’t keep doing this” the bloodshot eyes brimmed with tears “I can’t keep holding you as you leave, again and again. I wish you could stay. For us to live happily. But I can’t anymore” her sobs echoed in the empty hall. All the warmth of the summer evening gone with the life of her soulmate. The all too familiar feeling of numbness took over once more. She felt her fingers untwine with the hand and grip her dagger instead. Her hopes that they would meet again were strong, but not strong enough. She placed the blade pointing towards her heart “I’m so sorry my love, but now it’s my turn to leave you” she whispered through tears. She kissed her forehead once more before plunging the metal into her heart. The bright morning sun flooded through the blinds. Illuminating the faces of two lovers. One pair of eyes fluttered awake and stared at the sickly pale skin in awe. Then the realisation hit, and she became aware of the bloodstained sheets, and dagger clutched in her hand. She desperately felt around her chest. No wound, not even a scratch. It didn’t work. It never did.
“Lovely day we’re having isn’t it?” She asked as a tear rolled down her cheek and the other closed her eyes for the last time, for her soul was finally ready to lay to rest. “It is quite peaceful” she replied.
"Are these all... me?" she asked - a mix of wonder, disbelief, surprise and above all sadness in her voice. Her lover's room was decorated with pictures of her - more specifically, of each incarnation. The oldest image of her was hand-drawn, the paper had already yellowed in age, and yet still somehow perfectly preserved. "Yes. All of them. I've loved and lost you more times than I can count. Every version of you... I've known and loved, just as I love you now." "But why?" Her lover merely smiled. "Because it's you." Edit: It's been a while since I came back to this comment and I didn't expect this to get so many likes. Thank you everyone for your kind words!
"You're immortal?" "Yes." "That must be great.. you'll never fear death." "Death would be a blessing." "Why is that?" "I live knowing that I'll be here to watch everyone that I've ever loved die and be forgotten. And me along with them."
This quote, wherever it's from, sums up the life of my Pathfinder character... A kitsune that will never die of old age who very dearly loves a half elf who will probably live for maybe 150 years at most.
An immortal loves a soul The soul wears many, many faces over hundreds of lifetimes Every time, the immortal is there, loving them deeply and truly But there was always a question burning deep within the immortal: why won't this beautiful soul move on? More lifetimes pass, the soul starts to fray at the edges, the question grows ever louder The immortal travels the world, taking the soul along with them through even more lifetimes, seeking an answer to that one great question On one fateful day, the immortal meets another of their ilk, something they thought impossible The immortals kin tells them the hardest, most heart-breaking truth. "This soul won't move on because it wants to spend every lifetime with you. But eventually, there won't be enough of a soul left, and they will fade into nothingness." The immortal knows what they must do One last lifetime, one last face The immortal watches from afar The soul finds another, a mortal soul worthy of their love They have a family, children and then grandchildren In the end, the soul finds itself surrounded by their family and their loved ones as their final body falls to dust The immortal watches over them in that moment and sees a soul with a thousand or more faces, each one turning to them and silently saying "thank you, my love"
Now THIS. This type of plot belongs to one of those novels that start off sweet, then as it goes on it gradually becomes darker and darker until eventually they throw you down this pit of darkness and now you can do nothing but cry your eyes out because the novel you read to drown in fluff ended in such a bittersweet yet reconciled way that you cant even be mad about it because it was probably the best ending to their story. Forever traumatized by those stories. Forever traumatized.
and people say words dont hurt this plot was amazing but also at the same time makes me feel as if thousands of tiny knives are forcing my heart to ache
She stood at the window watching the rain, her favorite mug in hand. “What are you thinking my love?” A woman asked while sitting in her favorite burgundy velvet chair. “Just recalling how much I used to love the rain. Remember the day we met? It was pouring and you were soaked.” She pauses and a smile lingers on the corner of her mouth. “That seems like a lifetime ago now.” “Yes it does seem all of our best moments happen in the rain.” Her brown eyes twinkling with memories. “And some of our worst…” “I seem to recall I proposed to you in the rain, well sprinkler rain at least. And what wedding isn’t complete without a surprise storm to interrupt outdoor festivities?” “Yes but you also left on a day not so different from today.” Any happiness she had felt was gone now and she sipped her tea to keep from crying. “I did say I was sorry.” “Well it doesn’t matter now.” “Doesn’t It?” “No, because your gone and I’m stuck here waiting. Stuck in an endless cycle of living in a world that should be nonexistent without you.” “You’re never going to forgive me are you?” “If you came back I would.” “Now you’re asking for something I can’t give.” “Why not? You could move the sky if you wanted, come back to me if you wanted.” “My darling girl, I wish I could, I wish I could be this metaphysical being that could just show up when you needed me, but it doesn’t work like that.” The woman stood up and walked over, wrapping her arms around her love. “I could only move the skies when you were in my arms. Come and sit my dear.” “I am perfectly fine here.” “Why not sit, grab a book, and nestle in your favorite chair next to mine.” “If I turn around you won’t be here and I will have to go back to the real world, the one I’m stuck in for another 30 years without the love of my life. If I dare move from this spot it means I am allowing myself to let go.” Tears filled her eyes, but she would not dare to let one fall. “My brave girl,” She kissed the side of her wife’s face. “You are always so strong, let yourself break for once. Turn around, sit, fall to the floor, but don’t wait at window for someone who can never come back, and don’t pine for a reunion. Live your life, our time will come soon enough.” Turning to look at her wife she saw nothing but room itself, she closed her eyes as the tears finally rolled down her face. Wiping her face she walked to the side of the room, picked out a book from the shelf and sat down in her favorite blue velvet chair. Sitting her cup of tea on a side table she looked at the burgundy chair next to hers and placed a hand on it. “Goodbye my love.” (Sorry for the extra long post but as soon as I listened to the song I was inspired to write.)
"Farewell, my love. Our time may not be today, but perhaps tomorrow. For now, rest in my arms and pass into bliss until the time comes when we finally meet again. I will be here, waiting for you. Goodbye..."
"Is it worth it? Watching me die every time?" "You're always going to be worth it my love. Go peacefully now. I'll be here until you go and when I find you again I'll do it all over again every single time. You have my heart take it with you now." She whispered stroking her lovers hair as they gave a weak smile and their eyes fluttered closed. Taking her heart temporarily until they could be reunited.
Your breath hitches, it's her. It's really her. You could recognize her kind soul in a heartbeat. You had been waiting for her to come back to you, like she always does. Still, the thought of never having her in your arms makes your heart shatter. Her smile, bright enough to lighten up a room, brings heat to your face. You've worked this job for a long time, you are immortal after all. A family-owned coffee shop, with plants littered around, music lightly playing in the background. Despite the different appearances and memories she has, she always orders her chai latte, and like always, you write your number on her cup. Just like usual, the call comes, and you are reunited with your forever love once again, that is until she passes, where she will meet you again.
“What’s wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” You couldn’t answer their concerned inquiry, but it almost felt like you had. Every time, there was just something about this one that just drew you closer, until they turned around to meet your wary gaze. Every time felt like a new experience, and yet, the look in their eyes always captured your heart every time. It really was a blessing and a curse... Sometimes, you weren’t sure if there was a bright side to this plague of immortality. You get to live for many centuries, hell, perhaps even millennia if the gods thought it would be funny. You’ve seen it all: wars, chaos, sorrow, death, anger, and - most notably - pain. Lots, and lots, and lots of pain. You’ve felt it all... you were surprised that you weren’t fully desensitized to it. Then again... maybe that’s what *they* were here for in your life, every time they appeared: to help you feel *something* . They were different every time. Their personality, their appearance, their preferences and dislikes were always somewhat altered every time you’ve seen them reappear before your eyes. The last time you had met them, they kept themselves prim and proper with a bun to hold their hair, and business clothes that made them seem to be a billionaire in the flesh...and yet, it was a rainy day, so your first meeting of their last appearance was not what they had intended. Still, you saw that light that was inside of them. Regardless of the first impressions, things worked out between you two for the better. This time, however, it was the crack of dawn when you saw their eyes again. The droplets of morning dew laid upon the grassy patches in the park, as the sun peeked from behind the trees, giving the sky a myriad of hues... and yet, you saw something brighter and more awe-striking than the sunrise. This version of them had their hair in a fluffed fashion, with a curl resting just above their forehead. A striped shirt and overalls accented their natural beauty, and band-aids were occasionally seen on their skin. Their lips were turned into a lopsided smile, and your heart races. It always does, every time. You smile back. “Oh, I must have spaced out. It tends to happen this early.” Their laughter sends your heartbeat into a fluttering melody. “Guess you’re not really an early bird like me, huh?” It was funny, really. They said that last time you knew them. Maybe this version wasn’t so different from the last. They suddenly turn back towards the bench, and pat the seat next to them. “C’mere. The sun’s rising! You don’t wanna miss it, do you?” Without a second thought, you make your way over, chuckling a bit to yourself. You were going to like this version... you always did, every time. “Wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Here’s an idea that came to me while reading these comments, to mix things up a little. Two immortals fell in love once. It was true and deep, the kind of love that only comes once in a lifetime. But too soon, these lovers were forced to part, without revealing their secrets. And in time, both heard the news that the other had passed, as they each slipped on into another identity. Decades later, they found one another again. They were each a lover from a past life, returned to the earth in a new time and place. And so they fell for one another all over again. And again, they parted, and again they heard of a tragic, untimely death. Dozens of lifetimes. Dozens of loves cut short. They two were destined to be with one another. Destined to never stay, and to pass too soon. Destined to never know the truth. Perhaps, one lifetime, the truth of their love will prevail. Being together in every lifetime will no longer be enough. Perhaps they can finally be together for just one.
Why does this make me so hopeful? I mean, its story of course, but for some reason it gives such a feeling of an old myth of soulmates; Life after life they leave and return in the next one just to be broken apart once more by the cruel mimic of death...but one day they will find the truth and love for infinity.
I wasn’t planning on crying today, yet I am. This is literally the sixth time I’ve heard this song and it still makes me cry every time I hear it. It’s so, so beautiful.
Plot twist she's not finding the person reincarnated over and over, but seeing traces of them in the world around her, just like we all can with the people we've lost.
This is so sad😔 ‘Til you fade from my arms, peacefully’ this last line after reading your comment makes me feel like it could be them gradually moving on from that person’s passing and letting them go. So that after mourning them for so long and seeing them in traces wherever they go, they begin to live their life to the fullest again. Hope this made sense☺️ x
"So this is it?" She looked at me, her long gray hair and wrinkling eyes looked at me with love still evident in them, her frail arm reaching out to touch my cheek and it was warm, so warm that I had the urge to cry "Will you still come and find me?" Her voice that once boomed with joy and laughter has now become soft and melodic, I forced a smile on my face but my eyes has let my tears flow freely down my face. I held the hand caressing my cheek and kiss it gently, taking deep breaths at the realization striking down upon me. "Of course."
This goes perfectly with a character of mine. She was a young orphan thief and was in love with her best friend but unfortunately she got caught and was sentenced to death. The main plot of the story is that there’s three ghost kids (including her) that find out the afterlife is nothing but a wasteland full of hollow people, forgetting who they once were more and more and so the kids go off to basically fight god, who abandoned them. It just reminds me of my character because she watched as her best friend and first love grew up without her and died and then slowly started to succumb to the withering of the dead, forgetting even her while she was still stuck with the burden of her painful memories.
the anthem of soulmates ;-; finding eachother every time, sooner or later, but only having a few decades at best to stay together before the search begins again. Yes fate always leads them to eachother but that never excuses the time they're separated. When you see them you know it's them, but you always know that means you'll be separated again. That's the worst plight of the human condition. No matter how many times you come back you'll always have to claw your way back to them from scratch.
Immortality is often looked at as a blessing rather than a curse. We often forget that with living a life comes losing one as well. I remember what Vision told Ultron in the forest, "Something isn't beautiful because it lasts". Whether this is all we have or there is something else beyond what we can see we shouldn't squander what little time we get. Every moment counts, even if you have an eternity to cherish them.
Exactly. Tolkien also described the "true gift" Illuvatar (the "god" of Middle Earth) to Humans was their mortality. While Elves live forever, they eventually fade from the world as everything they once loved or enjoyed no longer do that for them, mortal Humans know that we'll eventually die, and thus try our best to hold onto and find new things to love and cherish before our time runs out. With immortality, that "deadline" on living a full life goes away, and as such, so does any need to fill your life with joy and happiness for every moment.
@Gabriela Beehive I understand the yearning some feel for a simple ending to things, yet I don't believe that living forever is truly a sentence of eternal punishment either. The very nature of life is that of opportunity, and should that opportunity never cease then it is our privilege to carry out our wishes and make due with whatever paths lay ahead. I don't subscribe to the idea that life is meaningless, but I do respect the desire of those that seek some form of rest from the undeniably harsh reality we live in.
@Gabriela Beehive I concur, yet I'll let you ponder on this thought: Living forever alone would agony, but not living at all would be tragedy. I'd rather live a life where I can always hold on to what made my time special rather than let it go into oblivion, even if I'm the only one to keep those memories alive.
I wish this was a movie. Where the immortal has to keep looking for the reincarnated version of there soul mate, but the soulmate can only regain the memories of there past lives when there about to die. So as they lay dying they fully understand who the immortal is to them, just as the immortal regains the love they’ve been searching for, they have to watch them die again and restart the process.
@@sadnessofwildgoats yeah the anime/manga has the concept, but it kind of feels like one of those things they decided a s they were writing it. (it's still a good anime though)

You can try the movie Fallen adapted from the Fallen book series by Lauren Kate... The boy stays immortal but the girl is born again and agian sth like that...
Imagine going on first dates with someone when you already know them as deeply as anyone ever could. Or seeing the same person you love behind a hundred different eyes. And they still have the same smile when they look at you
I like to think of this song is for a person who fell in love with fictional character and when they fall asleep they meet them and finally get to hug them and their comfort character loves them back and tells them they were waiting to meet them, but when the person wakes up to realize it was just a dream. I know this song is about an immortal but I like to imagine it that way because I think of my comfort character when I listen to this
At first, I just felt a sudden pull on my soul. A pull that seemed almost natural, to the point I followed it. It's path stopped when I stood in front of a woman, her luscious violet hair curling around her pale skin, her golden eyes a never ending depth, almost the color of liquid gold. Something about her poked at my skin, a voice I recognized as mine whispering for me to move up and talk to the lady. Deja vú has fallen upon me, and stronger than ever. It seems that it happened again. My heart beating out of my chest, as I meet sunken eyes full of wisdom. Her eyes so deep, seemingly full of years of experience, sadness, and leftover thoughts. When she turned to me, a mere second was all it was worth for her hues to take on light. The weight she held lifted in mere seconds as she stared into my wondering eyes. The world stopped spinning, as my mind reeled. Memories of lifetimes jumped into my brain. Every memory, every moment, had this woman in it. Her name's changed every few lives, her voice ever the same. Her kindness lit up my heart, and her lips made it hard to breathe. “ It's you again,,” it slipped from my lips too fast, even then I probably wouldn't have stopped it. Her lips curving, “ Yeah, it's me again” and in that second I ran into her arms. Tears falling down the curves of my face, and my lips laying small kisses around her face, my hands pulling her close to me. “ I'm glad you found me again,” I whispered, my voice so soft. The sun rising over the hills, shining upon us so gently.
I love this so much!!! I imagined this with two girls, at first in the past, they have to keep their love a secret but as time goes by the immortal finds her faster and faster till one day she just looks in her beloved's eyes and knows. (Story Cont. Below) Edited Version (Because G A Y): When they had met, truly it was an unfortunate circumstance. She was the maiden of Greendown and while the other was the apprentice of alchemists. There love was forbidden yet deeper than they had ever felt. One evening, the apprentice was working late at night mixing magic and chemicals that the king required. All she made was one fateful mistake. With a swish of her arm and a drop of essence. The longevity potion poured upon the girls hands and seemed into her aura. The maiden came rushing in about the startling noise as she came across her beloved, seemingly holding an empty bottle and no mess. Years went by and as they did the alchemist visage saw no change as the maiden grew old with time. By then the alchemist had confessed her crime. On the maidens death bed she sat with her love. Her hands trembling, not for her own sake, but for her lover. Before the maiden died she had one last wish for the alchemist. For her to never forget her. The alchemist worked day and night creating the first and only, soul potion. They would never be apart again. And they weren't. Every time they would find each other through some means, illegal or not, and the maiden would die. Over and over and over. Till one day, the alchemist went to her 50th pride parade, and well you can guess the rest.
Strange, I was just writing a story about a girl and her soulmate, they always had met each other until the 5th lifetime where MC didn't find her until she found her grave. And if you don't find your soulmate before they die, you live until you find the in whatever lifetime they end up in. For the MC she's now been alive for 300 years and every 3 years she comes to the oak tree that her and her soulmate planted together in their 4th lifetime together. The oak tree is gonna be a huge part of the story
Plot twist: it's a hopeful girl that is fighting depression, singing to her happier and 'normal' self. She never gets to stay that person because she slips into depression, but is living to reach her next season of happiness
i dont know if it's true or not, but someone told me that in all of my past lives, I always died young; younger than I am now. they told me that I never got to finish my adolescence stage... same goes for my "soulmate" who's been longing for me for so long. I thought maybe that was the reason why I had never imagined myself growing past my teenage years. honestly idk if I believe what that person told me about my past lives cuz it was so random.. how they approached me back then... but still. the way they told me that my soulmate and i will meet one day after so many lifetimes longing for each other. it made my heart skip a beat; it just made me smile.
I feel the exact same way. I'm not ready to get a job or learn how to drive or pick a career or start thinking about college. I'm not ready. I can't stop the passage of time and it moves faster each year and I'm left feeling incomplete. Tomorrow's my 16th birthday and I'm just not ready. I just want to start my life over again and then maybe I'll feel more prepared. It's so amazing how someone told you that. I wish someone told me something like that. It would be so comforting, something to hold on to. (Sorry for the paragraph, your words touched a chord inside of me and I had to spill.)

What if: one person is immortal and immune to disease/doesn't age but will die of injury and won't be reincarnated vs the other person lives an otherwise normal life span but WILL be reincarnated. The second, more mortal person has protects the first person on multiple occasions so they can meet again the next time after she comes back.
This song... absolutely destroyed me. It's unbelievable how much these words mean while actually explaining so little. Because it's those little details that really don't matter; what matters is the churning pain that you can hear through every single lyric. I can't really think of much to say because I've actually been speechless... for the past hour, as I've had this on loop since I found it. Hearing this song is like being cradled in the warm arms of the one you love most while being pierced through the abdomen from every angle imaginable. Congradulations... you've made a masterpiece. I wish I could learn these skills of storytelling through music where it's so painfully obvious but there's an entire world of story that you can't know based on the lyrics. I'm especially delighted by the story-driven comments I'm seeing here (ie dialogue written by fans referring to feelings they found in the song). You inspire my a great deal; this song is surely incredibly special to me now. Please keep creating; the world would be a much uglier place without your talent.
Could you just think of how tragic this is? Having to lose each other over and over, especially if the other doesn't know about it. And the Immortal has to carry the burden of so much lost and not being able to tell the other anything? Then the Immortal breaks down crying while on date with the other, but still can't tell the other why, the other girl gently holds her cheek, trying to wipe away her tears while asking her what's wrong. The Immortal just smiles while crying, she holds the other's hand against her cheek. "Nothing my dear, I just missed you is all".
"It must be so great being an Immortal. Not even death can hold you down," She said while looking at her lover in awe, "That is exactly the problem, my dear," He replied, in a somber tone "Why? What could be worse than living forever?" Turning towards her, he replies "Watching everyone you care about die while being helpless to stop it, for one. Family, friends, lovers leaving you alone for years. I can't pass on my immortality to anyone and I am forced to watch them die, Time and time again." Tears began to fill his eyes "That's when I promised myself never again" "Oh...I'm so sorry. I-I never meant to.." "Its fine, I cant fault you for something you didn't know," "...What did you promise yourself?" After taking a sip of tea to calm his nerves, he says "I promised myself I'd never fall in love again to preserve whatever sanity I have left. Yet here I am, falling in love with you all over again."
Don’t think of the sadness of losing her, think of the joy of find her again and creating new memories things like seeing new sunsets having your first kiss again everytime how no matter how many times you see her or how many lives you’ve lived she always makes your chest flutter and how alive she makes you feel and how her smile stops the raging war within and all is still and calm, remember how her body fits against yours and her warmth feels right in your arms
"See you in our next life" she whispered out breathing through the blood that left her mouth, I smiled bitterly, held her hand close to my heart so until the very end- she knows my heart will always beat for her. "See you soon" I whispered and kissed her now closed eyes and carried her towards the cemetary where I buried all her past bodies.
I was actually having the same idea that a immortal with a reincarnating lover would probably have a graveyard for them and also probably paintings or other such trinkets to remember each and every life with them
@@asenaozturk2696 ahahaha hey, sorrow can drive you mad, but love can do that too. So I guess it's twice the intensity. I think that's how the math works.
Imagine one day, the immortal meets the new reincarnation and they remember bits and pieces of their past lives. Imagine the joy of being able to reminisce together but also the pain that the next person might not remember anything at all. Or this is the song that the immortal sang to all of their lovers and slowly it just gets ingrained into the soul and slowly the reincarnation can sing it from memory. I don’t know if either of those make sense, I tried, but oh my heart.
This really reminds me of a brief passage going over an important character's ancestry where this immortal fell in love and married this person, their wife dies and so they went to sleep until their wife was reborn again, and has just been in this cycle of sleeping and finding their soulmate over and over again.
Imagine: you lost your only love again. It's been a long when you first met and you never love anyone else. But you could! You're immortal and they are not. But is this really matter? They always reborn. You find them anywhere but every time they die in a very painful way. You tried to ignore them but they found you by themselves. This is an eternal circle of pain and love. Every time the die that start to remember past lives. They die with a smile on their face but you start to feel even worse. You stopped crying. You have at least twenty years to find a solution and make their body immortal. "This time I'll rescue you for all cost!" - you whisper and go away.
I....officially headcanon that this and the song “may I have this dance” are connected Vampires in a way are immortal beings so....just a thought I’m gonna go cry now because I didn’t ask for this feels trip
I doubt you will ever see this ma'am, but this song has almost literally kept me sane and functioning through an extremely difficult period of my life. Thank you for this masterpiece, i cannot thank you enough.
"I've found you..." She looked up to the owner of that voice. A thief, shackled, and being brought to the platform. Intelligence and sorrow and purpose sparked, familiarly, in those eyes, that voice quiet and scratched and underused. Somehow, their words boomed and flowed like silk to their ears. The rope was looped over that thin and underfed neck, as the thief held their head up high. It was as if all they had done in their life was, purposefully, done to lead them to lay eyes upon her. While the rest of the criminals were roped, a song...so impossible and yet so right...flowed from chapped and beaten lips. "'Cause I’ll always find you again and again" The bitter, but peaceful, smile cracked across their mouth. "And I’ll lose you every time" She stood from her throne of crystal and gold, eyes wide and tongue knotted in her throat. "But my love, I will hold you close to me" She wanted to scream. She wanted to call for the execution to be called off. But her mouth had dried up. Bone dry as a desert at high noon. Held high, the thief met her eyes, a specific look in those gemstone irises of theirs. They would find her and it wouldn't matter how long it would take them. The last fleeting lyrics to the song...their song...flitted from their lips, as the leaver was pulled to send the line of prisoners to the gallows' feet. "‘Til you fade from my arms peacefully."
I really love to think about the immortal person as a pansexual, because the soul/person they are in love with cant just born in a body of same or opposite sex all the time or have the same gender everytime they reencarnate, which makes me feel happy as a pansexual. Love your songs, voice and everything
Demisexual or Demi/Pan imo, demis tend to lock onto one person because the emotions they evoke, you'll always love that one person, because it is who they are inside, not what they are outside, that you love, forever and eternity~
Even if it is some kinda guarantee that you will fall in love with the same soul again, it’s not said that they will too. That’s the thought that really crushes me.
Reinaeiry. I just want you to know the whiplash of emotions that I experienced right now. It's like expecting a boring day sitting in the couch doing nothing, and the next thing I know I was being bodyslammed by my own emotion to the ground out of nowhere. Thank you.
“So... you’re immortal? Lucky, I would do anything just to get something like that” There they sat at the top of the rooftop gazing at the beautiful sunset in front of them. “Well, not really” Two people standing atop of the abandon building, one looked tired, almost emotionless, the other giddy, just like how they first saw them. They reminded them of the sunset, the warm comfort they emmit. It always makes them happy, but sad at the same time, if only they could have them forever, if not only for this curse. “You would only be going through the same thing again and again. Watching everyone you love die in front of your eyes, every single person you would meet that is very special in your heart only to turn into a memory, like a never ending nightmare” They turned their gaze to them cherishing every detail that they could get, even though they would meet them again someday it still hurts watching them getting close to death, to rest, while they live forever. “ and one day... you will be one of them too”
Writing scenario: The woman stares at the picture book in the palm of her hands. She reminisces the times when she would run around in the flower fields of Victorian England with her lover. The sweet smell of roses, the thorns scrapping her dress and legs, the wind howling softly, the soft sunset, her lover’s beautiful red hair, and the sweet sound of her lover’s laughter as they chased each other without a care in the world. She missed her lover’s touch, voice, and company. She sighs, closing the picture book looking longingly at the happy couples in the park. As leaves fall from the trees around her she closes her eyes wondering if she could ever find love again. “Excuse me,” an ever so familiar voice calls out interrupting her thoughts. She opens her eyes looking at the direction of the voice seeing the same red color she’d been yearning to see again. “May I sit beside you?”
@@ziqqyziqqy Can you imagine? You have a wonderful little child, you watch them grow, raise them, age with them, and along the way you somehow become immortal. They eventually grow old and die, you're stuck in your body and life, mourning the loss of a child you believe you'll never see again. But many, many, many years later you're on a beach. You're walking along and suddenly see a young teenager. You greet eachother and exchange small talk, but you look into their eyes. No...no that's not possible, it couldn't be. You see the same eyes of the child you raised. A friendship forms but you already knew them inside and out, their likes, dislikes, goals, dreams, cleaning habits. And all the while they don't realize you were once their parent who raised them in another life so many years ago. They'll never really understand. You stay in their life a friendly mentor figure, desperately wishing they could just be your child again. Just as before they grow old and die, but this time it's different. You mourn but now have hope. You will find your child again, in their next life.
The immortal is not the singer, but the one that was lost, as their memories will live on forever. Even in the smallest ways, their mark on this world will be there and make somebody's day brighter.
I had a dream once- in the dream I married my soulmate. Every time I hear this song it reminds me of my soulmate and the feeling I had when I married her in my dream. To this day I’m still searching for her and this song makes me sob because this is exactly how I feel about her
*She found her again, just like she knew she would. She looked so different. But then again, she always did. Every time she’d find her,she was different. But she didn’t mind, she was still her* *She smiled at her as she gripped her hand. “Are you okay?” She chuckled, staring at her. She nodded,as she smiled. “I’m alright, now that you’re here” She turned to her,a soft smile on her face as tears pricked her eyes. “But I won’t be here forever” She giggled. She sighed, cupping her cheek* *”I know, but at least you’re here now”*
"Immortality is both a gift and a curse, but you... you are a blessing," she wrapped her arms around him, his body still and silent. "My love, I'll see you again, I promise," kissing him goodnight, she let go of him as his frail body was sprawled across the floor. She struggled to hold back tears, a few trickling out and through sobs, she held onto his hand one last time. "Goodnight, I hope the stars greet you once again."
"Souls of a mortal being arent immortal" the words of her father echoed in her head as her lover passed away in her arms Everytime they did and everytime she tried to ignore it but the question never left "What if this is the last time i find you"
“What if this is the last time I find you?” I can feel that fear and panic of never seeing them again, the pain of having to watch them leave over and over again, the fleeting joy of finally finding that love again, the dread of knowing how it will end, the sorrow of being trapped in that endless cycle, wanting it to stop, but never wanting it to stop because then what? What would happen if they never had their love again? This song has me so inspired lol
"No matter how different your body or mind could be, since I fell in love with your soul only. Every time I fell in love with you, I could feel my heart and emotions growing even more, and every time I watched you die it would hurt my heart even more"
She held the other close to her, knowing it'd happen again like many times before. "You'll come back again, right?" She asked, her voice breaking from tears falling down her face. The other replied with a small smile as the wiped her tears. "Of course, I promised I always would." She kept that promise, again and again.
This song is basically my Dungeons and Dragons character and her husband, and it made me cry. If it wasn't for that campaign, I would have never met the love of my life. I will definitely be playing this song at my wedding.
He looked to the horizon, with every brush of the wind gently caressing his cheek would be liken to the chords of a soft lullabying piano. The colours of a rich yet soft solemn orange meeting the blues that they will only hold for a moment. His sigh came next, it had accompanied with the wind that passed his cheek. His hands right in his pockets, this man would lift his head slightly, hearing his name called by a familiar echo. He turned his head, to have his immortal eyes meet with the soul that always seem to find him. "..Isn't it beautiful!?--God, I wish i brought a camera!" That individual, that person. Would always have the same kind of words with some different colours to it to fit with the times.. The smile, the glint in their eyes, the way their hair seem to catch the light and illuminate in warmth so easily. The beauty of a mortal soul. ".. Don't worry, I brought mine." And once more, did the immortal replied with a soft and fond chuckle. His eyes softening, as he would take a step towards them. Once more, again and again. The cycle continues on.
"I'd move a mountain for you if you wanted me to." She laughed and shook her head. "That's ridiculous love." She turned around and gave her a cheeky grin, "You and I both know I would." "Of course love," She replied, looking at the fading painting of her lost lover smiling on that old ivory shelf they had once built together. Many eons ago "Of course."
"I have lost love twice, both in death." - Marusia (Original character) (Just in case no one understood the context, the love of her life was (presumably) killed and her sister committed suicide.)
So hear me out. I’m currently writing a story about an immortal who is doomed to die a terrible death whenever he chooses the reincarnation of the one he loves (but he keeps on doing so anyway). I was just about to give up on the story but this comes out and I can’t help but think that this was a sign for me to continue. So even though I know not a lot of people will read it, I’ll keep on writing. Thank you Reinaeiry
Im sorry to say its not out yet. I don’t want to post with an incomplete draft because Im afraid I might abandon it later on. But I’d be glad to remind the people who are interested once September comes. Why September? It’s because the story is heavily centered on the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (which is due on September 21) and a retelling of the popular Jade Rabbit who is acting as Tu’Er Shen or the Deity of Homosexuals or in more colloquial terms the Guardian of Cut-sleeves.
I literally did not notice that this JUST dropped. I'm absolutely in love with this, it really really hits home for me, and I'm probably going to have this on loop for the next year of my life while I try not to cry like a little baby. WONDERFUL work.
I was ~inspired~ by this song, so here’s a short story for ya They reach one hand out to you. It’s a slow movement, restrained by an IV drip. You move your chair closer and take their hand with both of yours. You’re gentle, if only because you know they’re in a particularly fragile state. You’d never admit it, but it breaks your heart to see them like this, bedridden and without energy. “You’ll,” they start, and heave a deep breath. You rub the back of their hand, a small consolation. You’ve got all the time in the world, after all, to hear the words laden in their last few breaths. They turn their head towards you and blink slowly. “You’ll find me again, won’t you.” Somehow, it’s not a question. Those words on their tongue only cement the way it’ll all play out in the future, so similar to the way it’s happened before. “I always do,” you tell them, and it’s all you can do to keep the tears out of your voice. This is always the hardest part, the part when you have to let them go, when you have to be without them for a little while. “I promise.” They smile a slow smile, and the corners of their eyes crinkle up the way they always have, they way they did when you met. “I can’t wait.” You stay until one of the nurses turns off the heart monitor and wheels it out of the room. Sure, it’s hard to love someone when you’re immortal. But knowing you’ll find them again, whatever form they may take, is enough to keep you going. Sure, they keep leaving you, but even then, they’re never truly gone.
"So this is it huh? I'm finally the one sleeping-" her words were interupted as she felt pain in her chest making her lose her balance. You catch her in time and you slowly sit down while she lay her head close to your heart. "Don't say that..." you replied while locking your gaze with her's. She chuckled and holds your cheek with her free arm. "I'm sorry if this'll hurt you...wait no...I'm sorry if I'll hurt you." With those words coming from her mouth that has a reassuring smile made you start tearing up. She frowned and moved her forehead closer with yours. Both of you closed your eyes, scared of what's about to happen. "I love you, always, and forever..." You opened your eyes and before you could even reply, you see her vanishing into the air. Your tears start falling down as you see what she left you with. You tried to say words as replies but turned into muffled weeps of sorrow. You see in your lap the necklace that was the match of yours. "I....l-love you too-" You screamed out of agony and pain, knowing that she is finally gone, finally in deep slumber, finally finish with her punishment as an immortal
This song is amazing. Every time I listen to it, a different story comes to mind, all equally bittersweet, all equally beautiful. This song deserves a novel, an anthology series even.
This part of your song sent me goosebumps as I could feel Meliodas’ pain for losing Elizabeth over and over. “Cause I’ll always find you again and again And I’ll lose you every time But my love, I will hold you close to me ‘Til you fade from my arms peacefully”
I'm just going to say it: You are the modern Sappho. The way you write your songs perfectly captures the essence of what love feels like, both the good and bad parts of it. I am so happy that I found you, and I look forward to everything you make in the future!! You are a gay icon!!
I've been coming back to this song ever since the beginning, and I'll guarantee you all that I'll never get tired of this. The fact that this is about an immortal and loving someone over and over again just breaks my heart everytime. The feeling of happiness that stays knowing that the immortal and their destined lover will meet over and over again. Yet, the sadness that lingers when we realize that it's gonna be a never ending cycle of hurt. As well as the stories in the comments just gets me everytime, you all are bewildering.
every time... every time i think i'll be strong enough, these songs just cut right through me and i end up a crying heap on the floor. the emotion in these is beautiful, the epitome of bittersweet
I listened to this two years ago, and was so struck by its beauty it struck a story idea in my head. Two years of research later, I am finally writing the novel this NaNoWriMo. Never fails to make me cry every time.
Every time I listen to this song I just want to write. I mean I'm already writing a book for it and have an outline for it but still, I have such a strong urge to write something beautifully bittersweet.
LYRICS:
Sometimes when I look in the mirror
I still see your face resting on my shoulder
And my heart beats so fast
That I start to feel alive again
And the rain, it washes away all the pain
‘Cause it feels like the sound of your voice
And I’m comforted by the sweet smells of dew
Because the sunrise reminds me of you
And I’ll always find you again and again
And I’ll love every version of you
And you’re never truly gone
As long as a part of you in me lives on
‘Cause I’ll always find you again and again
And I’ll lose you every time
But my love, I will hold you close to me
‘Til you fade from my arms peacefully
Beautiful as always 🤍

And here's the Doctor Who comment i was looking for.
We're dying forever."

man doctor who has some really good lines
Capaldi is my favorite doctor now that I'm 30 rewatching the series. Tenant and Smith were my obsession in my 20s though.

Is your novel posted anywhere? Or is it already published? I want to read this so bad 🥺
I’d love to read that book

"Would you love someone if it meant losing them again and again?"
Well, it would definitely be painfull, losing a loved one all the time.

She placed the blade pointing towards her heart
“I’m so sorry my love, but now it’s my turn to leave you” she whispered through tears.

I've known and loved, just as I love you now."
"But why?"

An immortal loves a soul
The soul wears many, many faces over hundreds of lifetimes
Every time, the immortal is there, loving them deeply and truly
But there was always a question burning deep within the immortal: why won't this beautiful soul move on?
More lifetimes pass, the soul starts to fray at the edges, the question grows ever louder
The immortal travels the world, taking the soul along with them through even more lifetimes, seeking an answer to that one great question
On one fateful day, the immortal meets another of their ilk, something they thought impossible
The immortals kin tells them the hardest, most heart-breaking truth.
"This soul won't move on because it wants to spend every lifetime with you. But eventually, there won't be enough of a soul left, and they will fade into nothingness."
The immortal knows what they must do
One last lifetime, one last face
The immortal watches from afar
The soul finds another, a mortal soul worthy of their love
They have a family, children and then grandchildren
In the end, the soul finds itself surrounded by their family and their loved ones as their final body falls to dust
The immortal watches over them in that moment and sees a soul with a thousand or more faces, each one turning to them and silently saying "thank you, my love"

“That seems like a lifetime ago now.”
“Yes it does seem all of our best moments happen in the rain.” Her brown eyes twinkling with memories.
“And some of our worst…”
“I seem to recall I proposed to you in the rain, well sprinkler rain at least. And what wedding isn’t complete without a surprise storm to interrupt outdoor festivities?”
“Yes but you also left on a day not so different from today.” Any happiness she had felt was gone now and she sipped her tea to keep from crying.
“I did say I was sorry.”
“Well it doesn’t matter now.”
“Doesn’t It?”
“No, because your gone and I’m stuck here waiting. Stuck in an endless cycle of living in a world that should be nonexistent without you.”
“You’re never going to forgive me are you?”
“If you came back I would.”
“Now you’re asking for something I can’t give.”
“Why not? You could move the sky if you wanted, come back to me if you wanted.”
“My darling girl, I wish I could, I wish I could be this metaphysical being that could just show up when you needed me, but it doesn’t work like that.” The woman stood up and walked over, wrapping her arms around her love. “I could only move the skies when you were in my arms. Come and sit my dear.”
“I am perfectly fine here.”
“Why not sit, grab a book, and nestle in your favorite chair next to mine.”
“If I turn around you won’t be here and I will have to go back to the real world, the one I’m stuck in for another 30 years without the love of my life.
Live your life, our time will come soon enough.”
Turning to look at her wife she saw nothing but room itself, she closed her eyes as the tears finally rolled down her face.
Wiping her face she walked to the side of the room, picked out a book from the shelf and sat down in her favorite blue velvet chair. Sitting her cup of tea on a side table she looked at the burgundy chair next to hers and placed a hand on it.
“Goodbye my love.”

"You're always going to be worth it my love. Go peacefully now. I'll be here until you go and when I find you again I'll do it all over again every single time. You have my heart take it with you now." She whispered stroking her lovers hair as they gave a weak smile and their eyes fluttered closed. Taking her heart temporarily until they could be reunited.

River Song be like
I like the fact that this song could be about any kind of love, as long as it's strong. Could be about a lover, a sibling, a child, a friend...
You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
You couldn’t answer their concerned inquiry, but it almost felt like you had.
It tends to happen this early.”
Their laughter sends your heartbeat into a fluttering melody.
I would love to read a story, or novel(s) that was about this. Also, this is pretty well written!

THIS IS AMAZING I'M SOBBING
That’s pretty much the story of hawk man/ woman from dc comics (I could’ve gotten the names wrong lol) it’s a truly tragic concept😔

Why does this make me so hopeful? I mean, its story of course, but for some reason it gives such a feeling of an old myth of soulmates; Life after life they leave and return in the next one just to be broken apart once more by the cruel mimic of death...but one day they will find the truth and love for infinity.
The lyrics along with those beautiful vocals... Had me in tears.

So that after mourning them for so long and seeing them in traces wherever they go, they begin to live their life to the fullest again. Hope this made sense☺️ x
"So this is it?" She looked at me, her long gray hair and wrinkling eyes looked at me with love still evident in them, her frail arm reaching out to touch my cheek and it was warm, so warm that I had the urge to cry "Will you still come and find me?"
Her voice that once boomed with joy and laughter has now become soft and melodic, I forced a smile on my face but my eyes has let my tears flow freely down my face.

How’s that going for you? I would love to read your story
holy shit ur so story is so interesting! i would love to follow their journey!! :>
How's writing?
the anthem of soulmates ;-;
finding eachother every time, sooner or later, but only having a few decades at best to stay together before the search begins again.
I FORGOT HE SAID THAT, THAT'S DEFINITELY GONNA COME BACK IN THE LAST FEW EPISODES
Just watch the seven deadly sins

Below)
Edited Version (Because G A Y):
When they had met, truly it was an unfortunate circumstance.

Not even death can hold you down," She said while looking at her lover in awe,
"That is exactly the problem, my dear," He replied, in a somber tone
"Why? What could be worse than living forever?"
Turning towards her, he replies "Watching everyone you care about die while being helpless to stop it, for one. Family, friends, lovers leaving you alone for years. I can't pass on my immortality to anyone and I am forced to watch them die, Time and time again." Tears began to fill his eyes "That's when I promised myself never again"
"Oh...I'm so sorry. I-I never meant to.."
"Its fine, I cant fault you for something you didn't know,"
"...What did you promise yourself?"
After taking a sip of tea to calm his nerves, he says "I promised myself I'd never fall in love again to preserve whatever sanity I have left.

I doubt you will ever see this ma'am, but this song has almost literally kept me sane and functioning through an extremely difficult period of my life. Thank you for this masterpiece, i cannot thank you enough.
"I've found you..."
She looked up to the owner of that voice.
"'Cause I’ll always find you again and again"
The bitter, but peaceful, smile cracked across their mouth.
"And I’ll lose you every time"
She stood from her throne of crystal and gold, eyes wide and tongue knotted in her throat.
"But my love, I will hold you close to me"
She wanted to scream.
I think this is the first comment that actually made me cry while listening to a song

I absolutely love this comment ❤
Lucky, I would do anything just to get something like that”
There they sat at the top of the rooftop gazing at the beautiful sunset in front of them.
“Well, not really”
Two people standing atop of the abandon building, one looked tired, almost emotionless, the other giddy, just like how they first saw them. They reminded them of the sunset, the warm comfort they emmit. It always makes them happy, but sad at the same time, if only they could have them forever, if not only for this curse.
“You would only be going through the same thing again and again. Watching everyone you love die in front of your eyes, every single person you would meet that is very special in your heart only to turn into a memory, like a never ending nightmare”
They turned their gaze to them cherishing every detail that they could get, even though they would meet them again someday it still hurts watching them getting close to death, to rest, while they live forever.
“ and one day... you will be one of them too”
That's probably one of the saddest songs I've ever heard... And I love it
Writing scenario:
The woman stares at the picture book in the palm of her hands.
This sounds like the start of something beautiful (again!)❤️

@@daylightbright7675 the first part sounds like Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms, one of the best movies ive ever seen, really sad tho
Lol that's... wierd.
Came here immediately in the middle of class. No regrets.
To this day I’m still searching for her and this song makes me sob because this is exactly how I feel about her
I hope you find her
Good luck on your search. I’m sure your soulmate is searching, too-
*She found her again, just like she knew she would. She looked so different. But then again, she always did. Every time she’d find her,she was different. But she didn’t mind, she was still her*
*She smiled at her as she gripped her hand. “Are you okay?” She chuckled, staring at her. She nodded,as she smiled. “I’m alright, now that you’re here” She turned to her,a soft smile on her face as tears pricked her eyes. “But I won’t be here forever” She giggled. She sighed, cupping her cheek*
*”I know,but at least you’re here now”*
FUCK THAT IS SO BITTERSWEET
You posted at the same time as Beth Crowley's new song and I'm so conflicted on which song to go to but I decided on this one
I’m honoured 😇
@@reinaeiry i do not regret my decision this was amazing
Omg literally sameeee I was just about to go watch her video😂😂
Haha same tho!
"Souls of a mortal being arent immortal" the words of her father echoed in her head as her lover passed away in her arms
Everytime they did and everytime she tried to ignore it but the question never left
"What if this is the last time i find you"
“What if this is the last time I find you?” I can feel that fear and panic of never seeing them again, the pain of having to watch them leave over and over again, the fleeting joy of finally finding that love again, the dread of knowing how it will end, the sorrow of being trapped in that endless cycle, wanting it to stop, but never wanting it to stop because then what? What would happen if they never had their love again?
This song has me so inspired lol
"No matter how different your body or mind could be, since I fell in love with your soul only. Every time I fell in love with you, I could feel my heart and emotions growing even more, and every time I watched you die it would hurt my heart even more"
She held the other close to her, knowing it'd happen again like many times before. "You'll come back again, right?" She asked, her voice breaking from tears falling down her face. The other replied with a small smile as the wiped her tears. "Of course, I promised I always would."
She kept that promise, again and again.
This song is basically my Dungeons and Dragons character and her husband, and it made me cry. If it wasn't for that campaign, I would have never met the love of my life. I will definitely be playing this song at my wedding.
This takes precedence over everything else I have going on
He looked to the horizon, with every brush of the wind gently caressing his cheek would be liken to the chords of a soft lullabying piano.
"..Isn't it beautiful!?--God, I wish i brought a camera!"
That individual, that person.
Would always have the same kind of words with some different colours to it to fit with the times..
The smile, the glint in their eyes, the way their hair seem to catch the light and illuminate in warmth so easily. The beauty of a mortal soul.
".. Don't worry, I brought mine."
And once more, did the immortal replied with a soft and fond chuckle. His eyes softening, as he would take a step towards them.
Once more, again and again.
The cycle continues on.
"I'd move a mountain for you if you wanted me to." She laughed and shook her head. "That's ridiculous love." She turned around and gave her a cheeky grin, "You and I both know I would."
"Of course love," She replied, looking at the fading painting of her lost lover smiling on that old ivory shelf they had once built together. Many eons ago
"Of course."
"I have lost love twice, both in death."
- Marusia (Original character)
(Just in case no one understood the context, the love of her life was (presumably) killed and her sister committed suicide.)
Where is it? I might go over and give it a read.
I need the link
Im sorry to say its not out yet. I don’t want to post with an incomplete draft because Im afraid I might abandon it later on. But I’d be glad to remind the people who are interested once September comes. Why September? It’s because the story is heavily centered on the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (which is due on September 21) and a retelling of the popular Jade Rabbit who is acting as Tu’Er Shen or the Deity of Homosexuals or in more colloquial terms the Guardian of Cut-sleeves.

This is the PERFECT song for Meliodas and Elizabeth

I agree 100%
This fits so damn well
YES!!! That is LITERALLY the first thing I thought of!😅
You had no business making me cry this hard, but that's okay because this is possibly one of the best songs and love stories I've ever heard
I cannot tell you how many times I've listened to this song in the past and even NOW. To me it feels like one really big hug.
I literally did not notice that this JUST dropped. I'm absolutely in love with this, it really really hits home for me, and I'm probably going to have this on loop for the next year of my life while I try not to cry like a little baby. WONDERFUL work.
Also I totally didn't just put this in three of my OC playlists lol, why would I do that?
@@WhereIsMySock03 sure sure, i didn't do that either
I was ~inspired~ by this song, so here’s a short story for ya
They reach one hand out to you.
“You’ll find me again, won’t you.”
Somehow, it’s not a question.
“I promise.”
They smile a slow smile, and the corners of their eyes crinkle up the way they always have, they way they did when you met. “I can’t wait.”
You stay until one of the nurses turns off the heart monitor and wheels it out of the room.
"I....l-love you too-" You screamed out of agony and pain, knowing that she is finally gone, finally in deep slumber, finally finish with her punishment as an immortal
im crying now t h a n k s but honestly this id amazing
This song is amazing. Every time I listen to it, a different story comes to mind, all equally bittersweet, all equally beautiful. This song deserves a novel, an anthology series even.
This part of your song sent me goosebumps as I could feel Meliodas’ pain for losing Elizabeth over and over.
“Cause I’ll always find you again and again
And I’ll lose you every time
But my love, I will hold you close to me
‘Til you fade from my arms peacefully”
The whole song all I could think about was their story
the title alone put me on my feels, this songs is beautiful !!
ABSOLUTELY!! TEARS FILLED MY EYES WHEN I SAW THE ART AND READ THE TITLE, I JUST, AHHHHHH😭💖
I'm just going to say it: You are the modern Sappho. The way you write your songs perfectly captures the essence of what love feels like, both the good and bad parts of it. I am so happy that I found you, and I look forward to everything you make in the future!! You are a gay icon!!
I feel like this song is a second part to "it's you, it's me, it's us" and that's beautiful
I lost one of the most important people in my life to suicide two weeks ago. Thank you for making this beautiful song - it fits how I feel entirely.
I'm so sorry for your loss
Girrrrrl, I am so deeply OBSESSED with ur originals
14 seconds in and im already in love
AHHHHHH WHEN I SAW THIS ON SPOTIFY I CRIED TELL ME WHY I CRIED
every time... every time i think i'll be strong enough, these songs just cut right through me and i end up a crying heap on the floor. the emotion in these is beautiful, the epitome of bittersweet
You don’t understand how obsessed I am with this song and a few others. You’re so talented!
This was so beautiful *sob*.
My little bi heart can't take this....
This sounds like a disney song, honestly.
We need her to voice a gay disney princess.
"I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone." -Arwen Undómiel
I can show a snippet if yall want lol.
Please do!!!
