I'm a young cruiser, and i've been on a lot of cruises. I love small, older ships, which are less bling and more about cruising & that homely nature. Seems Fred has quite a very laid back atmosphere, with some nice dressing up options in the evening. I have heard the majority of guests are that bit older, but it doesn't put me off sailing any cruise-line. I really want to try them out ever since I saw the Black Watch docked beside us in Arrecife back in March. Even if it's a 5 day fjords or one similar to your own. The ship looks so homely! There was a mix of ages on our cruise and some kids. We loved our cruise, the Braemar was a lovely ship, homely like you say and with some fantastic outside spaces. We would throughly recommend, thanks so much for watching! 😁
hi i an ive done 2 cunard cruises last one very disapointed with food etc had to send back several meals fred olsen lookks fantastic booking the xmas market cruise im 44 but only cruise because of heart condition i cant fly
I am currently sitting in my living room watching her at anchor in the Firth of Forth along with her fleetmates and 2 cross channel ferries. Becoming quite cluttered.
Thanks for this video. My hubby and I have yet to go on our first cruise and we thought that Fred Olsen might be a nice small-ish cruise line to start with. I've seen videos of larger ships, but this seems about right.
It is a great ship for your first cruise. Traditional cruising at it's best. If your after good food, relaxing atmosphere and lots of outside space to watch the world go by then we would thoroughly recommend. We were on a 5 night cruise which was a great taster of Fred, out of Southampton which for us was convenient. Are you looking to sail from the UK?
Just had my first cruise with Fred ..could not fault it...cruised Bollette...I felt it more than equelled p and o and cunard...attention to detail was impressive...down to the labels on luggage...colour coded so easy to find when disembarking...
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel I liked the many selections of restaurants to choose from, the bar lounges, the entertainment, venues, the library, it had a nice deck with good size swimming pools and hot tubs, and many other places to visit on the ship... The only thing I was disappointed about was the atrium but I guess you can't have everything right ???
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel I was wondering did this ship get remodeled ??? Because I went on the web site and looked up the deck plans and it didn't show all the restaurants, and bar lounges they must have took out some of the cabins....

Yes it was included in our fare. We love all inclusive so you don't have to worry and try lots of different drinks too! Do you normally prefer all inclusive?

We’ve always wonder what a fred cruise would be like - we like the look of the ship, has a classic feel which we appreciate. Food looks yummy too! 🤤
They are traditional ships which we really love. No bling or pretence and the standard of food was superb! Would thoroughly recommend!

Very good. I miss FO's Black Watch and CMV's Marco Polo but Braemar looks as if we can continue to enjoy the small ship cruising experience.

I know this isn't the fanciest cruise ship on the seas, but I think it is both beautiful and visually relaxing. I would love to sail on it.
It is a fabulous old classical ship. We loved our time on board and the outside space it has is superb. The Braemar is a very special ship! 😀

Where are the other passengers most of the time?
We filmed a lot of the tour whilst docked so a lot of passengers off exploring. To be honest even at sea there was plenty of space.

Ships are not as impressive as P&O or RCL. Although I hear adults only. So no kids. Very well presented
No they are quite old ships but the use of outside space is as good as any ship out there in our opinion😀
