Madden can make that change but that would require them to actually do work instead of copying and pasting the same game.

However, I don’t need to be a game developer to know what’s the same and what’s different and when it comes to madden it’s been the same thing for many years. The only thing they change is the name on the jersey and how much you pay for micro transactions.

@@Him_Downstairs36 dude madden is literally the same game. There was even a glitch in madden 22 where it would sometimes show the old madden 20 screen in franchise. They legit slapped a new screen over the old one.
And then the wr blocks the cb too
hell as if it mattered? he stopped blocking just fast enough for the CB to have enough time to hawk down the receiver and ruin the touchdown. That sucks.
@@zenodee he blocked long enough for him to get close to the endzone though, he lost the block because all he had to do was turn around since the TE was behind him at that point.

Not in madden. It’s only the little bit of the lifeless crowd noise and horrible announcers. Still, he wouldn’t be ready to immediately turn and catch it. He would most likely drop it IF you could even hear that over the loud crowd, which should be in madden because it was in a game for 2007

My last one was 2020 and before that 2016 and before that was 13. I buy the game thinking it’s been a few years now so let’s see how good the game got. You’d think it would improve quite a bit but it never does and the bugs are unacceptable, especially for a billion dollar franchise. Madden 20 was my last one and I’m officially done with EA and madden. The nfl is so money hungry that they don’t care and morons continue to buy it year after year and put thousands into a broken MUT. People are retarded and that’s why they get away with a shit game.

Because the Axis devs care more about authenticity than EA as EA only make Madden for MUT now. Also at this point Blood Bowl is more a Football game than Madden.

Wild to see such a small team pull off better physics and realistic game play. Madden bar is so low now.
I don't want to oversell Axis. It does *some* things better than Madden, as demonstrated here. But there are still a lot of areas where the lack of budget and person-power for development still shows through clearly (and are even evidenced in this clip). It's still a work in progress, but is consistently getting better.
@@MegaBearsFan but when it has more realistic football mechanics vs a company that makes 1 billion a year its kinda mind blowing, i would expect graphics and other areas to be more stiff when its a small team / budget. Then you got EA pretty much saying eat your slop pigs every year and people still buy it, its sad.
In the old maddens this always happened. Defenses were way tougher in those days you could throw the ball and the entire defense would close in and swat it down immediately

Offense and defensive lines are still glued together during and after the pass. They have to fix the little details like that.
When I played madden I generally thought I sucked ass at football. Playing axis football feels like a better game. Reminds me of like madden 05

Thanks for sharing. I just got Madden 24 and every interception I throw is like this. Until now I didn't realize how little sense it makes.
You can only change this in Madden PC. In the parameters, their is two check boxes that u can disable called cut reaction when ball is thrown and cut reaction when ball is in the air. This turns off DBs instantly knowing that the ball is being relased.
I'm playing Legend Bowl. I know that is way different than other games, but the football logic is so real that if I'd play a game in Madden now I will lose by a lot

I remember back in the day having a ton of different football and baseball and basketball and hockey games made for the Genesis and SNES. That caused a healthy competition with every gene trying to add a feature that appealed to the gamers. It’s almost as if they didn’t phone it in the way they do with these exclusive games. No idea why they did it this way.
That’s how EA scales difficulty in their sports games.
Not through better strategy by your opponent, but through unrealistic cheating by your opponent, having your players sucked into defenders like they’re magnetic, etc.

Nah, when the ball is throw he's looking at the receiver then just turns. Even before he turns to look at the receiver and is looking over his left shoulder, he shouldn't be able to see the Q from that position
The problem is you can switch to the corner and move them yourself to make the pick.
The answer is simple, in real football when the ball is thrown everyone who saw it on defense yells "BALL!!"

Not defending EA/Madden but if watch the d is in zone & the safety picked up the wr after the lb initially covered him; the left cb also picked up the te after he was initially covered I believe by the left olb in this 3-4 defense. It was just a great play design/call on your part although I do agree with you too many average defensive backs in Madden all intercept the ball as if they're Deion Sanders!

Because madden is not focused on the realities of football, (only player ratings, superstar, franchise, MUT, new gadget features). It’s more similar to a background pick-up game

That shows axis football defense has no communication through the players. The defensive players in real life talk to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen, when the safety doesn't have any clue on what's behind it.
Fuck all that why this dude throwing off one foot falling back and still throwing an accurate throw. Both games has its flaws obviously.

It's a 36 yard throw which isn't that hard to do for an NFL QB, and Justin Fields does it at least a couple times a game when he does actually throw it!
No such thing as clear routes in MADDEN. MADDEN is all about the shallow interests of the game. Big Plays, Big Hits, Picks & Pick 6s, and the Superstars. It's all about marketing the game to casual fans of the game of football and not caring about the ones that appreciate the art of the game!
I would buy axis football if there was a superstar mode.
Madden is literally the worst game to make the most money in gaming history owing to its exclusive rights deal with the NFL. It's so poorly optimized on PC that it doesn't even use half of the GPU resources.
I'm still a fan of ESPN Football. Madden us trash. I just want a video game NOT a technical experience every dang on time

In madden you gotta lower pass defense reaction time to 5 or 0 for this to happen
That might have worked in previous years, but in Madden 23, even with reaction time at 0 or 5, DBs still react almost instantly and jump routes for picks.

Im having more fun with axis. It's not perfect but if they continue to improve the game then it's going to surpass Madden easy

Can you be a little more specific of which game?
The reason why Madden made the dbs so good, is because it's damn near impossible to play on defense in the game to begin with. The last Madden that came out where you can play defense and in literally any position and was fun and smooth was the maddens on ps2. The main developer who made the ps2 versions contract was up with ea right around the ps3 was launched. They never gave him a new contract. Madden has been shit since. And that's a very long time. My brother and I still play Madden for ps2 to this day. And no game developing team tries to compete with Madden because it's way to risky. And ea madden will most likely just buy them out if they find out about them. I haven't seen a good football game in over 20 years. I can't believe people still support current maddens. Literally trying to enjoy a game franchise that has been obsolete for a very long time.
Madden is trash but as a football simulator, it accounts for the decades of training and knowledge that players acquire over the years. They know how to react to the ball cuz they’ve seen it all a thousand times over. Professional athletes know what’s goin on is what I’m sayin. You might have 1 guy that’s completely lost every now and then but it’s almost always a rookie and coach won’t let that happen again. My main complaint about this play here is that the safety who was engaged in a block can somehow catch a guy that blew by him at full speed and is 10 yards passed him; to still make a TD saving tackle. Now THAT is broken af lol

it's so simple man... its funny how MADDEN 07-08 never really had an animation problem for DB ball in air defense it just need more animations and better A.I overall. They should've kept those engines for Madden gameplay.

honestly, i’ll a couple years just for them to completely change the whole game and re-create madden from the ground up, cause thats exactly what they needa do, if they can do this with NCAA Football (which is not out yet but we’ll be the judge of it being good or not) then they can do the same with madden, it’s like since madden 16 the game got worst instead of getting better, it’s in madden 16 it’s more realistic than madden 24 and that’s fucking sad, madden 16 looks more futuristic than madden 24 like fr how does a game years ago better than the game we have with the new and improved equipment we have now, tbh EA needs to get back on the IGNITE ENGINE and completely redo the game over again and stop copying and pasting like they been doing for the past several years

Neither game is good...tbh. But the point of the video was gameplay, not graphics. Next gen Madden is like the 2007 gm truck line. Pretty, but unreliable. Madden PS2 version is way better as far as gameplay. Thats why people complain. They're used to EA putting out good quality football games every year when they had competition. But to people that just started playing it in 2014 wouldn't know they stripped the game of just about all of its features, including some gameplay just to add a couple back every now and then to use as a sales pitch. That should piss people off.

Madden is so lazy.. I skipped 2 years of madden games and when I bought 2023 it felt like exactly the same game as 2020. I've had more fun playing axis footballs franchise mode then any madden franchise mode
