    Good to know the risks, no surgery without risks. If necessary the surgery has no other choice, without surgery, it will get worse than the risks.

    Do most people who have to get to get their gallbladder removed suffer from being overweight.

      Not me. I was extremely underweight. I was talked into gallbladder removal by the surgeon because an ultrasound showed I had gallstones. I had no symptoms and the gallstones weren't bothering me at all.

    Can biliary dyskinesia be caused by bulimia? I’m just wondering. I have no gallstones and do not drink. However, I have been bulimic for years

    I had my gallbladder removed almost 6 moths ago. Not long after getting it removed it started burning from the wound area (internally) to under my right rib. They said it was "just nerves waking up". That went on for some time. Then the burning spread to my left and down both sides. Eventually my entire body was inflamed. My skin felt like it was burning and it was hot to the touch. Now it has gone even deeper. My joints hurt my muscles are week. I get head aches and shooting pains in my head. And that's the short version of all of my symptoms. I am being poisoned from whatever it is going on in that spot. I got a HIDA scan, but it didn't show a leak. What else could it possibly be? I'm sure I really don't have much time left, if it doesn't get figured out soon.

      The Hida Scan won't show all the leaks. My liver was dumping bile into my abdomen and the Hida didn't catch it. The surgeon found it when they went in to removemy gallbladder. They need to do exploratory surgery.

    Is there risk of pulmonary embolism after gall bladder surgery. If the paatient is dehydrated and kept for 48 hours in case of emergency without being operated.

    • @RichHilsden
      @RichHilsden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes there is a risk. Age, Weight, previous history of blood clots and more all risk factors. I give all my gallbladder surgery patients a low dose blood thinner in the operation to reduce this risk.
