Hey! I’m just looking at booking one of these tours for the next few months (pretty last minute!). So sorry if you have covered this but I was wondering if you’d pick this same tour again if you had the choice or if you’d of picked one of the different variations. I’m hoping for a similar 3-4 week duration. Thank you! X
Hi! Personally i would recommend doing the 21 day tour Cape town to Vic falls and spend some extra time in cape town and in victoria falls before and after your trip. The 28 day is nice in that you visit kruger, but personally this was not my favorite national park (more crowded, more vehicles...) but there are higher chances of spotting big 5 on that last week (e.g. we only saw rhinos in zimbabwe and a leopard in kruger, so depending on if you'd want to higher your chances of seeing the big 5 adding the final week would still be a good option. I still enjoyed the final week, but your group will change a lot as this bit is part of a combined tour, so just some things to take into consideration. This is the 21 day tour (affiliate link, would appreciate if you booked directly from this link if you enjoyed my content & want to support my channel) tidd.ly/3PaTzHz

Also sorry another question. What was the safety aspect like? Did you feel safe the whole time when camping? And what was the accommodation in Cape Town like

Hello, I’m wanting to go on this tour in May but have a few questions. 1. What is the insect situation? I’m really scared of bugs but have a huge phobia of spiders, which is putting me off booking it 2. How often was it possible to upgrade your tent? 3. How much were the upgrades on average? Thanks so much and I loved your video!

Question, did you buy the visa's on the border or before the trip in your home country?
It depends on your nationality, if you can buy on arrival. But i’m from belgium and only got the kaza visa at the border for zimbabwe, everything else was visa free for me

The visa question. Did you get visa on arrival? Is it the recommned way? I don't seem to be able to get any visa online. Websites don't seem to work. For Malawi visa I'm required to provide a signed letter by the host. 4hrs I've tried to get at least one visa but no success.
I got a visa in advance for Zimbabwe and it’s not the recommended way for Zim to get it online. Way better to get the Kaza Visa at the border, especially if you also are crossing into Zambia. I had to get 2 visa’s bc of this.. so for that one just go to the border and get Kaza visa there. As for Malawi i’m unsure as I did not visit this country

We are heading there in October. What funds did you bring US, Euros. What currency did they accept at the border.
I had some US currency, but also withdrew some local currencies in each country
What month were you there? I see everyone wearing jackets and pants.
I was there in May/June. Temps were cold in the morning/ on game drives & warmer in the arvo, chillier at night again

How was the food throughout the trip? Was very local and spicy/hot? Or are there good options for the classical european guy too?
It was amazing food all around. Never too spicy 🌶️

Did you have to share a tent with someone? Cant I just have my own tent with me?
The basic option is to share a tent, but you can pay extra for your own tent
