No.. not like that. But Phones have many little batteries... Like 4 3.7v 1500Mah batteries.. Phone use them in parallely... As 3.7 V 4*1.5ah = 6AH. But during charging batteries not switched to series as 14.8v 1500mah battery.. now we can use 20 v 2Amp charger to charge it with in less than 45minutes... This method is used in Apple Macbook laptops and in some expensive phone

These batteries are made with connecting 100 of cells are connected in series and parallel connection... A single battary is made up of many 18650 cells.. a 18650 battery is of voltage 3.7 volt and with Capacity of 2.7AH and more

Discharge take time because we don't short circuit the battery. If we short battery it would discharge very soon madam
