I went and stayed at my daughter's home , military home , I cleaned it as roaches were in her kitchen garbage can , clean clothes on the closet floor , piles of dirty laundry in hampers , moldy microwave, toliet was gross , I let her know her dryer vent was broke and bugs were coming in that . Her and her husband had to enjoyed the clean place ! I didn't touch behind and beside the washer , as her soap was somehow spilled all over back there ! I didn't raise her like that ! I mean at 23 I was raising 2 kids ! They have none like most young couples , my son is 25 has none either . I think having kids made me extra clean ! I was alittle messy at 18 in my apt alone , but I never bought food and cooked at home so those messes didn't add up . I didn't have a washer then so I had dirty clothes . My 2nd apt before the kids at 21 , was very neat . No it seems young people can't settle down to be bothered to clean . My son owns his home and his to be wife does keep the house fairly clean . Sad when your child is kinda dirty in the home ..she's a little lazy , works , friends , phone .......I also see she is very lazy , asked husband to do everything ...get my keys , get my whatever ! They are who they are ! Lol
I am a housewife and I can totally relate to what you have said. Even though I love cleaning my home, my work is never done. There is always something to clean or tidy up. My husband tells me to stop cleaning and sit down too ;)

You inspire me so much to take care of things better. I’m really getting in a routine since I’m retired. Spent many years working full time and having a house keeper. That takes its toll on your house though, no one takes care of it the way you actually would yourself.
In my younger days I did just what you are doing,now hubby has passed away,I wish I had sat and watch TV with him are played a card game. Don’t get me wrong clean is still what I do but not all in one day are week,I am much slower these days. Love your videos and your beautiful home.

Oh my gosh Anna, when you said that you cleaned upstairs and then moved down stairs and at that point you know that there is stuff to clean upstairs again. Especially if you have a family that lives in the home. I always think I'm going crazy because I too can not sit for long period of time because there is things to do. You tackled that kitchen with a fury, great job! I do the same wiht wiping down the inside of my cabinets and putting all the glasses in the diswasher! They do get dull over time expecially in back. I set aside a full day to just tackle the kitchen at least twice a year Spring and Fall.. I have to try your slurry of baking power instead of baking soda, the steel wool works great on spills. I purchased some mats from amazon and cover my racks and it keeps splatters from the top of the oven wall and keeps it cleaner you can put them in the dishwasher but I toss them since the underside of the top rack mat is usually full of greese. I have my husband pull out the range and washer/dryer every few months to clean underneath and clean the sides. He also pulls out the refrigerator every 3 months or so to vacuum the coils. It’s surprising where dirt and dust gather. Great project for a snowy day!

Good old fashioned motivation. Thank you! Have you considered color coding the toothbrushes you use? For example, any brush that is red is for toilets only, and any that is white is for kitchen use, and black could be for trash cans, etc.
I have considered that. But, my old brain will forget🤪 I started to say and didn't finish on video that Ernie is building out my cleaning closet soon, and I'd like to have holders with labels. Toilet, bathroom sink, etc. That would work better for me as I'd put them away after use and would not have to worry about cross contamination!

That’s some deep cleaning there. I always try to deep clean twice a year. It always amazes me how dirty the sides of refrigerators and stoves can get in a 6 month time period. I bought a small shop vac for deep cleaning my home and it’s helped so so much. I’m a purger not a hoarder, I have no qualms tossing things out either, it’s satisfying to me. Your home looks so fresh and clean❤
Thanks for the cleaning inspiration 😊 just fyi I use magnesium gel from Rowe Casa Organics wellness collection to help me sleep. I rub some on the bottom of my feet before bed and it worked whereas the tea did not 🤷♀️ also this magnesium gel works great if you have a sore muscle or sore knees 😊
We must have separated at birth! Everything you said and do (routines, reasoning etc) is how I feel! Same with the cleaning toothbrush! I toss them after each use in an area. 😊

Tip for you…I use grill mat oven liners for the bottom of my oven. When they get dirty I just take them, wash them and put them back in. So easy!!!

I have my husband pull out the range and washer/dryer every few months to clean underneath and clean the sides. He also pulls out the refrigerator every 3 months or so to vacuum the coils. It’s surprising where dirt and dust gather.

Isn't it, though! I'm ashamed I did it for the first time. In all my other homes we to pulled it out often.

Good old fashioned motivation. Thank you! Have you considered color coding the toothbrushes you use? For example, any brush that is red is for toilets only, and any that is white is for kitchen use, and black could be for trash cans, etc.
I have considered that. But, my old brain will forget🤪 I started to say and didn't finish on video that Ernie is building out my cleaning closet soon, and I'd like to have holders with labels. Toilet, bathroom sink, etc. That would work better for me as I'd put them away after use and would not have to worry about cross contamination!

That’s some deep cleaning there. I always try to deep clean twice a year. It always amazes me how dirty the sides of refrigerators and stoves can get in a 6 month time period. I bought a small shop vac for deep cleaning my home and it’s helped so so much. I’m a purger not a hoarder, I have no qualms tossing things out either, it’s satisfying to me. Your home looks so fresh and clean❤

Thanks for the cleaning inspiration 😊 just fyi I use magnesium gel from Rowe Casa Organics wellness collection to help me sleep. I rub some on the bottom of my feet before bed and it worked whereas the tea did not 🤷♀️ also this magnesium gel works great if you have a sore muscle or sore knees 😊

We must have separated at birth! Everything you said and do (routines, reasoning etc) is how I feel! Same with the cleaning toothbrush! I toss them after each use in an area. 😊

Hi Anna, I love your channel . Just wondering do you clean on top of your cabinets ? I have decor on top of mine and I am embarrassed to say I don’t clean them unless I take something down from there and then sometimes I don’t at all . I should I know it’s just hard for this short girl .😅

It fizzles! Baking powder doesn't. I think the fizzing helps pull up the scum!
