    Thank you for the review. I’ve learned a lot watching your channel. Unfortunately I think the flame looks a lot like watching a fireplace on my local cable TV network. I saw the Orion in person and was disappointed in appearance and shocked by the price. Wanted to love it but can’t. The WiFi technology is great.
    Leaning towards the ignite xl. Just wished they offered multicolor flames. Even the cheaper brands offer that. The ignite bold is great but more than I need plus the depth and price has to be considered.

      They are both great!! Dimplex is a solid choice as well.

    I have the MF Orion Slim 52". Expensive but worth it. Unless you stare at it you won't know its not a real flame. Its not true 3D though and can look a little "flat" at angles. Love the app. I turn the unit on and off with Alexa. The downsides are its not very bright in daylight hours and the viewing angle fades at extreme angles. I wish it had more flame choices but what it comes with is pretty good. I would pay for additional flames if they offered it. Completely quiet if you turn off the sound effect. Overall I am really happy with it.

    Thank you so much for your knowledge and willingness to put the videos out there. I was actually embarrassed for the salesmen at the two local fireplace stores I went to. They knew NOTHING! I asked basic questions and they went to google to pull up any and all information I was asking. The guy at one store actually read me the description from google..... SMH.. anyways Great job!

    Curently have Mendota gas and very pleased. Building new and considering electric. Thoughts, Mendota vs. your top pick Electric? I know the Mendota will provide more heat, more interested in “real fire” look, after all that is what everything is trying to accomplish.

    Trevor when looking at the flames on the orion do they appear choppy? Thats what I noticed in a local showroom. I did not have the option to use the remote and adjust the settings. Wondering if the video is on a short loop? If so it more pronounced with the faster speed? Afterall its meant to be gazed. As you stated like a TV the technology is always changing. The wi-fi makes it future proof. Perhaps they will add and improve certain features.

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ive seen it get choppy for a second after you switch flame patterns other than that it seems smooth to me. I still like the medium speed the most.

    I did not like the Orion in person when in a well lit room. It looked like a tv. The Ignite Bold looked more realistic to me in the same light. Now in a darker room maybe the Orion.

    Why does Orion just replicate the flames on each half , it so obvious when you notice it... They could have at least offset the timing

    I really like the modern flame Orion Multi, it caught my eyes before your introductions… the Flame looks so realistic, bright, well sized, nice volume and tall, It has all the features that I’ve dreamt for…. ( a bit expensive though…) however, looks like no size offered between 60inch and 70inch? I want to put a matching size TV on the top.

    Modern Flames Orion looks way better to me with real flame video vs spinning led lights of the Dimplex ignite bold

  • @dezertson2011
    @dezertson2011 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    So the Orion clearly has two matched screens where the flames are in sync. This is unacceptable. Secondly, the video looks choppy. I am not sure if that’s because it’s a recording being recorded for this video but that’s just unacceptable as well.

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there are two screens in the orion. The video does look choppy because of the video camera settings. Its either high shutter and fireplaces blink on camera or low shutter and their is no blink but the flames look slower/glitchier.

    Have multiple Orion multi and I’m regretting these purchases. Major issues with flames not turning on, the flame screen flashing pixilated green and purple and remotes not working. Hadn’t had Fireplaces more then a few months and barely used Customer service says it’s a circuit board problem and sent out a new circuit board and expects the client to replace it. Would never purchase another modern flames product again
