    Enjoyed the show as always. I have 2 out of the 5 you showed. The Ceyomur & GardePro are good cameras. Doing a good job. One you didn’t have that’s cheap is the Wosports. I figure it would not last long but I have had it 2 years and it’s my go to camera any time.

    This is a great video! It would be awesome if you had a roll up chart at the end that showed the performance comparisons. Which one has the best overall performance for security of my wooded boundary of my rural home? I want to catch video of trespassing neighbors so I can send them a letter to protect my title. Looking for reliability, far detection range and battery life and day and night capability. Currently using Apeman H45s and they are ok to so so........ and have a really limited detection range.

      Hey thanks so much! Have you checked out cellular trail cams? You’ll get a notification whenever movement is detected. They might be good for your situation. I have a ton of videos on them. Check them out if you get a moment 👍🏻

  • @frankenfoamy
    @frankenfoamy ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Really enjoyed the review. Seems some of the cameras were duds so not to be good comparisons. Was one of the cameras a 940 nm LED? (no glow)That would show a different range and contrast. The three detector cameras offer "faster" detection if the motion is uniform. Trigger speeds relate to when the buffer starts and that buffer speed can be different depending on the processors. Your real-world test is the way to go. ( video trigger speed can be 10 X longer than photo) The most common reason for shorter than programmed night video is batteries which can be aggravated by cold.

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey frankenfoamy! Thanks for the insight and your perspective. None of these were no glow although some were a lot more subtle at night than the others. Thanks for watching and best of luck this season 👍🏻

    Hi Duane, I love your videos. I am new to trail cameras, and I am having a hard time finding the right one for what I need. Do you know which cellular trail camera I could have send a picture to my phone every 30 minutes without motion? Even better if I could only have it do this during certain times of the day. Thank you!

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey John! Thanks so much man. I really appreciate that! I'm trying to think of any cellular trail cameras I know of that have a scheduling feature. There are some that have a time lapse mode (which would be interesting), but the closest feature I can think of is "On Demand" photos and videos. You would have to physically go into the app on your phone and request a photo whenever you want one. I will be reviewing the Stealth Cam Deceptor soon and it has this feature. The new Muddy Matrix also has the on-demand functionality. I did a review of the Reolink Keen Ranger PT which enables you to look in live and pan, tilt and zoom. th-cam.com/video/l_ADV259wC8/w-d-xo.html

      @@johnnutt1323 I found this info on the Moutlrie Mobile Edge (I have a review on that as well). support.moultriemobile.com/hc/en-us/articles/8061685484823-Manage-My-Time-lapse-Setting
      It looks like it may be what you are looking for, but it really comes down to what interval you can set it at. I haven't played around with that feature and no longer have the camera, so I can't test it. It would send the photos to your phone. I will be checking out the new Moultrie Mobile Edge Pro and if it has the time lapse setting, I will check it out.

    Picture/video quality doesn't mean squat if the camera misses good picture opportunities. I've gone to all Garde Pro E5 cameras this year. I picked up the last one for $39.99 with free shipping (Amazon Lightning sale) a week or two ago. My other 4 were on sale for approximately $55 each. The E5 does everything I want in a trail camera. Set up is easy, & it even changes time for daylight savings if you pick the correct time zone. I only do pics, and I would never set a camera above 8 MP. Night pics are much better with fewer pixels. Less pixels means larger ones that capture more light. High MP is a marketing joke! A trail camera is useless if it doesn't detect game going by, and these cameras are great! Night pics of these cameras are much better than my past Browning Dark Ops which costed 2 to 3 times more to purchase. I have 4 Dark Ops and none of them work after a couple years. I am done with brand name high priced cameras. I experimented with two E5 cameras last year, and I was so impressed. I have high hopes for these cameras. I wish models weren't constantly changing.

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey DriftlessHunter! Thanks for the input. I’ll have to try that E5. I’ve seen it listed as a top seller at times but never pulled the trigger. Thanks for the information 👍🏻

    • @driftlesshunter9200
      @driftlesshunter9200 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mountainbuck I'm not sure the E5 is much better than the A3, but they work better than my 4 expensive Browning Dark Ops that no longer work (each one having different issues, too) at all. I just know the detection range of the E5 is good, trigger speed is good, picture quality is decent, night pics are great for a "no glow". I see no reason to pay more for a brand name.

    • @mountainbuck
      @mountainbuck  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey snaplash! I did a detection range test where I tested the range at 10 yards, 20, 25 and 30 yards. If you are trying to catch a thief, it might be worth it to use a cellular trail camera. This type of camera send you photos and videos to your smartphone when someone is detected. They charge a monthly fee, but you can instant notifications, so it may be worth it. Just a FYI everyone never set a trail camera over it's native sensor resolution. Interpolated images are created when the camera digitally adds extra pixels for every real pixel the camera creates. Worst case - each additional pixel added is identical to the first. So a green pixel is just split into 4, 8 or 16 additional green pixels. This neither increases the quality of the picture or allows you to zoom in to view additional details. Best Case - additional pixels are added using computer algorithms to guess the color of the added pixels. In either case, the interpolated file size is exponentially larger creating longer recovery times and consuming vast amounts of additional storage space. all but one of these cameras above have a native 3MP sensor. 99% of Trail camera companies use Interpolation as a way to boast about a fancy camera when in reality their selling you a product that can never shoot even close to 16,32,64 megapixels. My advice as I said above just set the camera to it's native resolution and you will capture way more pictures and videos and take up less space well making the cameras reaction time WAY WAY faster.

      I use my cameras to observe wildlife and will not use lower than 30 frames per second to avoid blur. Many cameras claim to be 30fps but are lower at night. That sometimes limited me to 720p. The newer cameras are better but you have to confirm with the cheaper ones.
