Bro, try to say the good things done by him also. He became PM of India when it was torn and trampled. His government made it alive once again. He set up IIT, IIM, AIIMS, INCOSPAR(now known as ISRO), PSUs.
Bro, his government did these things. If you call yourself neutral, your duty is to speak about these facts too.
You can't just bring someone having expertise in a certain domain, discuss about only one topic and come to a general conclusion.
It is not called neutralism. Of course he made some mistakes. But consider the situation during his regime. It's easy for you to make a statement and chill. But being a Prime Minister of a newly independent nation suffering immensely in almost every aspect, is not easy.

Every Indian should ask why Britishers treated these two - Gandhi and Nehru - so favorably. Britishers were enemy of Indians. Popular maxim is that an enemy of an enemy is a friend. So British must have seen Gandhi and Nehru to be inimical to Indians interests that's why they treated them so well.

There were scores of other "political" candidates too who were either lathicharged to death instead of being arrested or sent to harsh imprisonments where they either died or spent long times. People like Nehru, Gandhi or Ambedkar, Jinnah were treated with kid gloves because they were british stooges essentially. I would suggest you to go through contemporary writings of these people, and the publications of the parties these people were working for at that time. You will see these parties were essentially working as an interlocuter for british raj, so that a repeat of 1857 doesn't happen. These are not whatsapp university gossips. It is remarkable that a defence expert has an elaborate opinion without, by his own admission, analyzed why Nehru was so suspicious of the military. No word at all on how differently the generals on the two sides of partition ended up viewing and working with the civilian government in power in the years after independence. These were generals who had trained and risen up through the officer cadre together as part of the British Indian Army.

@@prasvasu4217 always make a distinction between soldiers and junior officers on one hand and the generals on the other. I am very proud of our Army. I am the son of an Army officer myself. But it doesn’t escape me that Generals from the same generation and the same training behaved differently in the two newly independent countries. Who knows, We may have been lucky to get the good ones but my limited point is that the expert that Mr Gokhale is, he should have at least talked about this in his analysis of Nehru.

It's a myth that we got independence due to our political leadership (congress) or freedom fighters, their combined contribution is not more than 10%. WW2 was THE biggest reason why British abandoned not only India but several other colonies where no natives were raising voice for independence. Soon after the end of WW2 then US president Roosevelt pressured Britain to give up on their colonial mindset and free the respective British occupied colonies, America itself was a former British colony and they had to fought a bloody war against their English masters to become independent. Even before US jumped into the WW2 both nations (US and Britain) signed an Atlantic charter in August 1941 which was THE real reason why British unwillingly had to abandoned their colonies. Churchill was reluctant to bring British colonies under Atlantic Charter. Gandhi in 1942 wrote to Roosevelt: "I venture to think that the Allied declaration that the Allies are fighting to make the world safe for the freedom of the individual and for democracy sounds hollow so long as India and for that matter Africa are exploited by Great Britain". Roosevelt ignored Gandhi's plead at that time as Perl Harbor incident took place in Dec 1941 resulting in US opening its front against Axis powers and got fully engaged in WW2. But as WW2 was about to end Roosevelt did pressured Britain to give up their colonial mindset and free the respective colonies including India. Moreover then CIA and British MI5 had solid input that communist Soviet USSR block may use British colonies for proxy war against US lead democratic block and their prediction proved to be spot on in later years.

Everybody knew China humiliated Nehru ji then why still Congresses (Rahul Gandhi ) favour and help china. Even Nehru ji vote in favour of China. I can't believe Nehru ji was not foolish to do that gavour without any benefit to nation or personal may be. This was worst dicision (to leave UN seat and to do favour in favour of China).
Even in dealing with British & Jinah both (British & Jinah) fooled Nehru ji and India suffers lot and still suffering and will suffer in future.
No Indians can forgive Nehru ji and Gandhiji for their ACT even though they did it for betterment of Country because RESULT always COUNTS.
Worst thing is Congress still not admiting Amition & Oppotunist Nature of Nehru ji and Over Confidence & Give away Power to undeserve Person (rather ineligible) and testing.
Now atleast we learned and make some laws that can be filed against Politician in case of big mistakes ( Delibrate or not ) and to make hom accountable.
