Well, that’s the reason he left Islam because he doesn’t know his religion well enough. I’m a practicing Muslim and I hate to admit but I didn’t know what Quran means, until now! Gaining knowledge is a constant.
Salam brother Abbas and Imran I think it's not fair to judge people on why they don't know the meaning of Quran. Time ago you'd only know if you had an arabic dictionary and there was no Internet back then. I presumed it meant revelation but just googled it and it means to recite or read. I learnt from your streams that it meant criterion so still not sure. I'm sure theres so many people that don't know unless they've had a knowledgable person in the family or had access to resources which was limited 25 or more years ago. Madrassas didn't even provide child friendly books or teach many Arabic terms in my time Im sure the layman still doesn't know what Quran means.
Brother, it is very fair. All too often these fake "ex-muslims" attempt to sow confusion. Mostly they are deceitful Christians, which is such a pity. Now I reverted to Islam years ago and I know that the standard meaning of Qur'an is recitation. It isn't "read" btw as that is an archaic english expression which means to recite. I would strongly suggest that if you didn't know this basic knowledge that it is incumbent on you to read Islamic books and speak with knowledgeable people. Don't blame your family, although they should have properly taught you. It's up to you now. May Allah makes it easy for you.
@ghouri205 regardless he was soft toned so I will give credit wherr it's due.. if you go to speakers corner and meet raving Christian lunatics this guys a breath of fresh air.
you can be a ex muslim and not know what quran means but you will just say I dont know. If you just make it up and say "clear message", and clear message is such a bad ambiguous guess, saying that means youre trying hard to pass off as though you were muslim. Quran is an arabic word, many muslims dont understand the arabic language - many just recite surahs without knowing its meaning.
@BertoKinawaIt’s funny to take the heaven rules (whatever) out of the bible, knowing that it has errors and contradictions, and try to build a logical conclusion out of them. it makes no sense.
i would love to ask when he said he went away and then came back. why he came back? He would have to make up a very good convincing reason why he went back to islam and booyyy he will struggle with that because he is trying to attack islam so it would be interesting to hear him squirm and make up a reason why he supposedly returned back to islam and that would need to be quite a strong reason.

An average Muslim also won't go around claiming to be an expert in Qur'an throwing around random verses at Muslim apologists. The first question such a person will be asked is about the Qur'an. He seems to have put some effort in learning some passages from Isaiah, he could have put a 10th of that effort and would have known what Qur'an means. What sort of a person try to learn another religion without exploring his own?

@@hurataimad136Yes, just like Christians come to dialogue with Muslims, so he has said he is no longer Muslim and explain his position. Think the main question for exmuzzies is what makes them think they’ve left islam…seems like coz they don’t do the fardh they feel they’re ex…
Well, that’s the reason he left Islam because he doesn’t know his religion well enough. I’m a practicing Muslim and I hate to admit but I didn’t know what Quran means, until now! Gaining knowledge is a constant.
He leaves Islam because the walls of Dzul Karnain didn't exist 😂 that is his main reason leaving Islam
Salam brother Abbas and Imran
I think it's not fair to judge people on why they don't know the meaning of Quran.
Sad unbelievers
Btw spirit has no bones or flesh and this vers names 8 times man pronouns and names Mohamed i Torah.

Well atleast he was soft toned and respectful but I been muslim all my life and I thought the quran meant the bible of islam.
Really ??? You can't recognise goofs who try to play smart
What a wnkr

The average muslim wont know what Quran means, not really a good question, go ask a muslim
There are real ex Muslims, why do we always get the fakers? We need dawah to the real ex Muslims.
How about this?
"It's baffling to see Imran's reaction when the Ex-Muslim admitted to not knowing the Arabic word 'Quran' means 'Reading'. Imran quickly dismissed him as never being a Muslim. But the truth is, many Muslims, even beyond the average, aren't aware of this. It's a reminder not to jump to conclusions about someone's faith based on linguistic knowledge alone."👎👎👎👎👎👎
What a shame that you learned the meaning of quran today and you think others must have the same experience as you have
Imran knows he is lying, it’s so common for Christians to lie about being ex Muslim. You should atleast know the basics and do research. You should be ashamed of yourself.
You are literally taking it out of it's context. He is no average Muslim. He is an ex-Muslim which MEANS he went through a process to become an ex-Muslim.
CONTEXT.
He the proceeded to come on this live to dialogue with engaged Muslims talking about Islam. Does the average Muslim off the street do that????
CONTEXT.
@@hurataimad136Yes, just like Christians come to dialogue with Muslims, so he has said he is no longer Muslim and explain his position. These fake Muslims starting attacking him rather than being civilized and speak to the brother in a civilized manner. They should explain to him that Islam means submit in peace. Instead, they started to use their false standards and make an issue about whether he was an Ex-Muslim or not. That is his own business why he left Islam. They are not the judge; only Allah will judge him and everyone whoever leaves Islam will carry his own burden on the Day of Judgment. Why should anyone else care whether anyone claims to be a Muslim or non-Muslim? There is no force in the Judgment of Allah. .....
Quran 02:256 There shall be no compulsion/force in
l-dīni/The judgment. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
