Ziggy we miss you. Bring on another masterpiece!
The modeler is named Chris. His dog is Ziggy.
@@ulmwurttemberg1682 yes and...he disappeared.
Check out Chris's Instagram: "Taking a break from the hobby to pursue other personal projects at the moment". So no videos for now I guess...
@@hobbyrobby Thanks for the info.
@@hobbyrobby that's at least something. I thought something had happened to him.
I hope you come back soon. The quality of your art is still unmatched.
never stop doing these they're so satisfying and fun to watch!
You should build two of the exact same model kit. Build one as is out of the box the way most people would and then build yours with the realistic modifications. Putting them next to each other at the end of the project will really give a good appreciation for the differences. It would also look great on camera side by side.
The art of the build video perfected. A lesson in cold, clinical precision. No nasty background music or irritating voiceovers, just silence punctuated with the discreet sounds of a craftsman's tools at work. The opening scenes where you remove the parts from the runners are sublime, a glorious combination of sight and sound. Thank you, and please do continue to make many more videos in the same fashion. This is how Stanley Kubrick would have made TH-cam build videos.
this man will come back a year later with a 1:1 scale f1 model
Hey Chris, I would say this is one of my favorite videos of yours. Thanks for sharing details like mixing rations, air pressure, as well as the materials and tools used in the video description. Superb as always!
Thanks Leo!
I received one of these models from my then wife. I also took great care building it. Hours and hours in my study. I also needed new paints and a spray set-up. She was really p*ssed off that I spent so much time on it and needed so many small extra tools. She didn't understand model building. It's a beautiful model. I'm really impressed with these experienced modeler's tricks. Well done. Exquisite. And fascinating to watch. All the best, Rob
Women give men things to keep them occupied just so they can get annoyed at them for being occupied.
@@funkydozer Haha - yes, annoyed at occupied men for not giving them enough attention... 😊
Absolutely spellbound!! Your eye for detail and intracity is nothing short of amazing!! Just discovered you tonight after buying an airbrush setup to get myself back into modelling and you just showed me a whole new level I never knew existed. Thankyou for posting this
Absolutely amazing! All those additional parts you add to the model make this realistic kit even more realistic, thank you for sharing such a wonderful build! I can’t wait for the next episode and see how it all comes together👍
Thanks Jun!! 🙏🙏
@@ZiggysDesk I love to see 2 of my favorite TH-camrs supporting each other that`s awesome!!
AYE DUDE COME BACK PLEASE 😢❤❤❤ @ziggy’s desk
Please post the next video, I haven’t slept in 5 months...
Ive got insomnia, slowly going mad then I started watching this. Absolutely amazing. The detailing is just mind blowing. Well done.
One of my favorite bikes. Can't wait for part 2!
Wow!!! Are you a surgeon by day! This is wanna the best videos I’ve seen. Thank so much for sharing all your knowledge about all the hoses, clamps, shrinking technics etc…I’ve done F1 1/12 scale but have always wanted to take it to the next level but no one out there ever explained the technics you’ve shown or the supplies….thx again..
Level of Detail and Skill = Mind Blown!
Next level attention to detail. Respect.
Your workmanship and attention to detail is amazing. I am building my first 1/12 Tamiya motorcycle and this video is very helpful. Thank you.
I actually owned a 1995 916 and added many mods to it, then built the Tamiya to match it. They're both gone now but this vid inspired me to build another 916 and make it better than the last one. Thanks for your efforts and please keep them coming.
Awesome! the 748 was my dream bike back in the days although I never got one. I really liked the look of the headlights on these Ducati’s.
Im addicted to your builds ,they are inspiring and truly educational
Well done!
I built the first dozen or so of the Tamiya 1/12 scale motos, and the 1/6 Katana when they first came out in the 80s. Mostly for the display in a shop, but a few for myself. Built a few more over the years. Recently returned to the hobby after a 10 year break, dug out a couple from the stash (I may have stopped building, but I kept my stash and moved it a few times) and purchased a few. I still hold that this series are among the best plastic model kits ever made. Their engineering, fidelity, and molding quality still lead the way. In comparison, I tortured myself with an IMAI 1/12 R100RS and currently building the ex-Protar Italeri 1/8 R80G/S Paris Dakar kit...not even close (though props to Protar for engineering the molding of the engine cylinders...similar to what Tamiya did with their RC166 20 years later ).
PS: Love the soundtrack =)
Thanks! Yeah I’ve recently started getting into bikes and realized there’s so many different kits and transkits out there. I’ve heard of protar but have yet to find one
@@ZiggysDesk Protar is defunct, though you can find some of their kits on Ebay. Many interesting subjects, lots of vintage Italian race bikes. Italeri bought them out and have released the R80G/S P-D winner from 85, and a Yamaha Tenere.
Fantastic. Really nice to see one of Tamya's models with their superb quality and attention to detail being built by a modeller with equally high standards and skill.
Glad to see you're still doing these, Chris! I really enjoy the way you produce your videos and your skill as a builder is spectacular. Keep it up!
Thanks Tom! I have less time these days but I try to get a video out if I have enough footage compiled. Appreciate the comment!
@@ZiggysDesk How are you going with Part 2?
Ziggy, I hope all is well! Would love to see part Two of this build.
This is the best scale model I’ve seen 👍
Hands of a heart surgeon . Amazing built. Can wait to see the finished model. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
His videos are amazing as well!
the amount of detail is insane, top man.
I miss you ziggy, good to see you, yeah, I like Ducati motorcycles.
Every video just blows my mind.
Wow. The real thing is a work of art & so is this. Love it.
I bought this model, didn’t realise what I’ve got myself into! Great to have this guide to follow.
when you did the injectors I had to pause... close my mouth.. rewind and watch I again. Great detail work and so inspiring
Besides the attention to detail that you are doing, I love the camera work.
I wish I had the skills and patience to build like this. Outstanding.
I'm exceedingly jealous of the little person who will get to ride this!
Ralph S. Mouse is about to go VERY fast!
All those photo etched parts make so much difference to the realism. Wow
Insane attention to detail. Truly inspiring work. Thank you for sharing.
I have the same kit waiting in a drawer since 4 years now. You are very talented and show a lot of very useful how-tos for a mediocre builder like myself. This will greatly improve my builds, thank you very much! Many greetings from Germany!
Glad I could help.. it’s not that hard or expensive to add some wires and piping for detail and it really improves the realistic look to your models. Thanks for watching and have fun with your build! 👍
Hey ziggy! Great video as always. Hope you're well.
Your videos are amazing. I find it very satisfying seeing the talent someone has to have that precision and skill. The fact that its just the sound of what you're creating and no over the top music just makes it even better. 👍
This is unreal. Incredible work. Well done buddy
Amazing mind-blowing detail, looking like frame & engine from the real machine shrunk on a hot wash.. can't wait to see the finished article... Stunning 💙
Very excited to see the part 2!
This is a jewel and should be valued accordingly.
Excellent build Ziggy. Love your build videos and the extra mile you go on them. Looking forward to future builds.
This is a kit I do regret selling.., So I'm happy to watch this, Way better and its not ruining the surprise lol
Oh man! I was like holding my breath during the whole video, this is just amazing bro!
I love your precise and clean work. Well done!
Wow , the Ducati 916 kit is amazing and the assembling parts is great too .The details and the painting process are amazing !
🏆🥇🎩👌
Chris, I just want to say thank you. I'm currently building another red Italian motorbike (Moto Guzzi V10) which will never comes out a fraction this good, but you're inspiring me a lot on how to improve it...
Thanks Andrea! Hope my video helps in someway. A lot of what I added to the build isn't too difficult to achieve, just a little time and patience. I'm sure you can do it!
Another superb build.
Incredible abilities amazing artistry
Stunning outcome
Excellent workmanship.
Amazing build with details total awasome 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful work sir. More of a Ninja fan myself but doesn't stop from admiring great work. Those bolt heads...my goodness the patience. Brilliant video.
props to how much detail and work you put into these bro!
Great build, Great detailing, Great video.
Truly extraordinary work.
That is absolutely incredible! Beautiful build! 👍🏻
Very nice detailing. Very nice!
Fantastic detail an no music thank god!!! 🏍
Absolutely brilliant, a artist at work.
I built this one a long time ago and when we moved into our new house my daughter thought it was a toy and destroyed it I have wanted to build it again. Now I am inspired to do it again thanks
there’s also a nice senna conversion if you want to make it a little different
@@ZiggysDesk thanks I will probably have to do both kits. I am a fan of senna. I have to get the 1/12 MP4/6 from tamiya but can't do almost 300 for a kit but one day I will talk myself into it and buy it. Keep up the great work as I said before I watch your videos for inspiration to try new techniques and improve my abilities. Thanks I wish I could post a pic on here of one of my favorites but oh well.
Excellent level of detail achieved here, with the same keen eye for editing these build films together. Thanks for your efforts I find watching to have a nicely meditative effect.
Thanks Eric!
I love your work. Your technical application and attention to detail is amazing!
Superb building skills!
Bike looks terrific so far Ziggy. My friend your attention to detail and skills are mind blowing. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Hey George, appreciate you always giving my videos a watch. Thanks for the kind words my friend 🙏
@@ZiggysDesk not only giving them a watch, i enjoy them also.
Hello, great job on this Ducati. A big thank also for the tips (dilution, pressure etc)
Nice to watch and terrific skill. Thanks for the work and the upload.
Incredible start!
As usual a great work!!! Congratulations again 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The attention to detail 👌
Amazing precision.
Another superb video mate, really enjoyed this one. All of the cables and hoses really enhance the build so well
Thanks Robert! I agree, it’s a simple addition to the build but gives it a nice little extra detail.
Thank you for the vid. The detail you put into your projects is crazy
learned so much from watching and seeing your methods!
Awesome build. Looking forward to part 2
Incredible work
Hey man!! Everything’s ok? Hope you’re right!! We miss you!!!
Hey! i just looked on his Instagram, he said that he is taking a break, i think that means he is coming soon maybe
Amazing work to say the least. I'd be curious what the 145 thumbs down did not like about this video. Jealous of the talent displayed in this video is the only thing I can think of. Looking forward to Part 2.
Such amazing build, will love to see the finished model in the near future~~
Amazing work ! Wow !! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It's very nice and politely work. Beautiful !!!
Fantastic job mate 👍👌
Such amazing detail you put into this model!
That was a great video Chris! I really enjoyed watching the build process. I have no concept of the planning involved in such a detailed project. I’ll stick to box stock. Take care, James
Thanks James! This one wasn’t necessarily too difficult, Ducati had a lot of wiring diagrams and drawings available online and I just simplified it a bit.
You mix the paint in the cup?!! You’re at another level!
A result of my laziness I guess, just mix some paint together and hope for the best 😂 I don’t really test paint spoons, but I should
amazing built, wow
I can only imagine the quality of part two of the build
Your work is just top notch... excellent!!!
Ziggy come back....
We miss you
I’ve been waiting for another video! This makes my day! 🔥🙌🏼
excellent work. I recommend you use a small low-rev motor with the mini-drills and you will make more perfect holes.
Great Job, really. Decals seems a little thick but you figure it out very well with clrear varnish, nothing noted after that.
Nice,very good,excellent job,congratulations!!
Another incredible video - the highlight being the patience and skill required to wrap the black electrical tape like that. Superb!
Sweet metal work, love those fuel lines, very realistic, great start and l can't wait for more.
We miss you! :(
your sound effects are fantastic
Hey Ziggy we miss you. Is eveything ok? I would love to see you come back to youtube
