Looks like y'all had a blast. I love that wet root trail, but it's a shame that it used to be true single track like the bear trail and it got "jeeped out". Man I can't for the life of me recognize that bear trail. If y'all go back, I'd love to join.
Yes, there was one particular section that was being worked on and we were told the road will be closed for some time to repair it due to damage caused by jeeps. I'll reach out on the next attempt so you can join us. Have a happy new year!
The KLR is a legendary bike, good choice! I ended up with two bikes, the KLX 300 for challenging dual sport and single track and a KTM 790 ADV R for adventure rides and easy to medium difficulty dual sport events. Hard to find the perfect unicorn that is light and nimble yet can carry weight and go long distances comfortably.
Keep this up!!!.....I am in Cumming and about to be back in the mix with a KTM...This is great research, motivation and learning about our area....Look me up!!!!

Hey Virgil! We started in Dahlonega off of of Nimblewill Gap Road and throughout the Chattahoochee national forest roads and found a few single tracks. Jeff led the way so I didn't track exactly where some of the single tracks were, specifically the one we called bear trail.

That was a good getaway-100 miles on day 1 and 65 on 2nd day. Warm camp fire and cold beverages next to the creek-life is good. Great video Mike!

I have a 2022 KLR but am now starting to wonder if I should look at trading it for something like the KLX. Great ride!
