My world has a lot of large caves so I have a fortress on the surface with a stair case in the middle spiraling down to my factory floors below. I think when I play a new world I'll just cart everything to the surface. I don't like the ores everywhere either. But blowing things up is fun. Still haven't found Silver to auto mine but have gold and copper trinkets fully automated and selling.
34:53 need to have the bank guy in front of a door that then leads into the "Vault" that then would have all your coins and gems and everything on their respective platforms😊
Now in games like factorio, I tend to try to process the ores before shipping (amount of processing done at mining site being dependent on the mods used) because usually the ores only stack to about half the amount that the finished bars do... So more efficient to transport the products with the higher stacking limits.
Interesting stuff here. Also I like the potential of the building system - I love base building. Also the mining in the tunnels, rail to the fortress train station, and then processing at the fortress, is a good combo. You could even have the tunnels that are near to the fortress be secured in walls to represent part of its defenses vs the more natural part of the lower mining tunnels. So yeah, good stuff. -- Soo side note, comment. Techtonica is going out in 1.0 soon and I was wondering if you were planning on playing it. It could be fun for you. Though if you do play it I hope you do some aesthetic building there too. Giant flat platforms taking over caverns is boring. hehe
I wonder if you will be able to fully automate things. Right now, You would have to hand transfer when making plates, etc. I wonder if the advanced machines handle that by adding like a manufacturer or something.
I think the Ore veins respawning may be a glitch. It only happens when I reload a save, and it's duplicating the quest rune stone that tells you the objective of the game (at the drop site where the airship drops you off) too. Also it doesn't really make sense that ore veins respawn when trees and herb bushes don't.
Yeah it doesn't do much, just a stone with some glowing blue runes on that tells you what you're ultimately supposed to be doing to complete the game (find the 3 king's lost runes). My colony's got about 5 of them now because every time I load a save it adds another one!
I wonder if with your respawn problems if the game uses “Minecraft” style rules where you need to illuminate your base with torches to stop the respawning.
The small hanging lights provide MUCH more light than the big ones....love what you're doing in the series as well!
Thanks so much. I saw that. Will be using more of them.
The "enemy spawn stones buried underground" episode. 24:40 Stone and wood?! *ROCK AND STONE!* 😁
Thanks for that.
I just love your videos
Thank you very much.

It sound like you are doing pretty well. I'm having trouble with the trains. Will be in the next video.
More lights the better 😊
Absolutely seems that way.
@@surtrplays with the ceiling lanterns almost need to do a grid pattern with skipping one space in between each one in all directions
Someone commented that the smaller ceiling lights are better. I tried them and it is so.

I will do something like that. I'm not sure the vault is finalized yet.

I would normally try to do that too, unless there is a good reason not to. Like slow belts. I haven't had a problem with that yet.
Upgrading your ore scanner might be worth doing.. 💚
Definitely worth it.
I use the tethers all the time when I enter caves and tunnels. You just can't get lost using them.
I have been lucky so far. Maybe I will use them when I go deeper.

This is a good game with lots of potential. I will be playing Techtonica at some point.
New subscriber here. Great job on your base. I really need to do this with my next save.
Welcome aboard, and thanks.
There seems to be a problem with the display of the font. The "o" seems have the top cut off, and letters like the "g" part of the bottom.
I see there is a bit of polishing that needs to happen.

It looks like there is a constructor to unlock. Its just very expensive.
@@surtrplays Yeah I saw that on another playthrough. It's pretty cool. All the things that you unlock to build are in there. Huge gold potential
is there more upgrades to stone building pieces?
It looks like there are some more decorative pieces.
Blow the roof or holes off the caves and bring everything out
Thanks, I will do.
i used a vapourizer today . . . i was underwhelmed lol ;>
That's unfortunate. I haven't got there yet.

Agreed, it is a bit strange. There was a rune stone? I totally missed it.

Well thanks. At least I know that now.
I wish that there were some more distance ! i mean ... things looks so big just right up in your face
Indeed. Just make yourself a staircase and build from above.
Dont waste iron making tool kits to sell. The copper pots sell for much much more. Also upgrade your backpack so you will have more carrying capacity
Thanks for the tips.

I will try that. Thanks.
you can make alot of money with ale if i remember it 4000$ for 100 ales so you make 40k everytime the machine is full
Wow, thanks. I will have another look at that.
Ores respawning and messing up what I've done is the reason I've stopped playing.
I believe there is an update coming soon that fixed the ore respawn issue.
