  • This is the description I found with this GIF:
"Molecules of the protein myosin drag a ball of endorphins along an active filament into the inner part of the brain's parietal cortex, which produces feelings of happiness." That's what it said; I have no idea if it's accurate :)

Not at all. This is a Kinesin molecule carrying a Vesicle along any given Cell's Microtubule: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinesin
Vesicles can contain neurotransmitters (including Endorphins), but they also contain all sorts of other Neurotransmitters and Enzymes.
You're not looking at happiness. You're looking at the cell's own FedEx service. Which is still awesome.

xue 717 no. It’s 100% wrong. You get no knowledge at all from this video. Share cool looking things all you want, but tagging science incorrectly only helps keep the population uneducated. This isn’t anything like the description. You don’t need years of studying to recognize it either. It’s a kinesin. It’s NOT endorphin transport at all! It’s not any of the things you have listed. You’re talking about something else entirely than what we “get” in this video. Sure it’s free but it’s also completely worthless if it’s not factual!

It is beyond me how people continue to believe educating via ridicule in comments and punishment via down-ranking is apt to enlighten society to the fullest. Constructive conversation is so much more easily inspired and inspiring, if you seek to have it prior to puking up negative energy everywhere. This is precisely what makes a portion of the population prefer to remain willfully ignorant. They come to believe any effort at extending themselves will be met with the vitriol of someone pretending they came out of the chute with the Encyclopedia Britannica embedded into their skulls. As the publisher, I would have come away with this having learned.. but I probably would have "corrected" the title to "Enduhhrrrfin" just to further piss off the elitists who jumped in after the first two had already exchanged niceties. I'd leave it like that until they pissed off. Then I'd correct it. ;)

Your title is incorrect. The Endorphin is casually being walked or carried by a motor protein which is casually walking. Don't get it twisted.

You're still wrong. There is no endorphin at all in this image. Christ. This is a kinesin transporting a vesicle along a microtubule.

Great soundtrack. But, I was imagining a heavy bass party going on inside as if the windows were reverberating and a lot of young people closely pressed together having only enough room to hold a plastic cup full of inexpensive beer while carefully jumping up and down so as not to spill any yet smiling and chit chatting at the top of their lungs because it's so loud inside. But, that's just what I imagine. I still like your soundtrack.
