I'ma drop a story rap about the historic nursery rhyme 'Humpty Dumpty' on this throwback beat. Instead I titled this "The Legend and Tragedy of Humpty Dumpty". Hope y'all like... Verse 1: Y'all know the story Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall had an accident being victimized by a great fall embraced by the King's horses and his men but couldn't put Humpty back together again but what would the King want with a puny egghead well, he has saved the palace and his knights from being dead from a bunch of savage barbarians and warlords who plot to thwart the empire and kill the King with the sword rape the mistresses and capture prisoners 'overthrow the kingdom' is the announcement to the listeners but Humpty was a sentinel; remarkably volitient keeps a lookout but battle skills were not very proficient has a special telescope to look across the vast land delivers a warning in morse code when danger is at hand one day a barbarian posed as one of the worker peasants to receive their tasks they have to be before the King's presence in the process of his due diligence he finds the secret to the King's army's vigilance relays a message to the leader of his crew "they have some egg-brain watching the kingdom from a high view" the leader answers "we have to kill this eggheaded guard" "take him out; attacking the palace shouldn't be too hard" while the barbarians were on their next bloody excursion to put a hit on Humpty they had to create a diversion advancing to the palace they had to creep and hide to attack Humpty they had to get him from the blind side next Humpty encountered arrows being shot and spears being launched but he's incapable to defend himself or even staunch the knights and warlords clashed; both sides suffered casualties Humpty was able to escape from the balcony gradually no choice he becomes a fugitive on the run the barbarians will pursue him until the job is done Humpty runs into a village 7 miles to the east he lays low until the enemies pass through at least after being attacked and chased he's fearful and tensed he gets acquainted with a kid of the village residence the kid interjects; "Ewww Mr. Dumpty you're ominously smelly"! "If you're starting to rot then you need to tell me" Humpty replies; "No. I need you to check behind my back" "See if I got a puncture or a small subtle crack" the kid says; "Yes, I think an arrow had grazed your hiney" Humpty replied; "Well bandage me and put me in a place no one can find me". so the kid escorted him to the docks there Humpty found refuge in a walk-in icebox after 2 days of being incognito he realizes his telescope is missing so he decides to go back track his footsteps and the route he ran hopefully return to the King's domain as soon as he can the kid gets the word that his enemies were prowling about before he could warn Humpty he already left out in the midst of the woods where he found his telescope 2 miles from the palace returning unscathed is what he hopes suddenly the barbarians closed in on him armed with swords and axes at least 10 of them one of them exclaimed; "We got you now! Any last words"? all Humpty could do was say a prayer that was unheard 2 brave knights were at a distance tried to come to his aid when they arrived on the scene sadly it was too late seeing Humpty's lifeless body and his shell cracked in half the only thing the knights were thinking was starting a warpath but they knew seeking revenge wouldn't be right it would only violate the valor code of a knight next attack on the palace; Humpty's killers were recognized executed by decapitation was how justice got finalized henceforth the knights guarding the palace taking no chance at all remembering Humpty watching the kingdom sitting on that wall
