The Taiidan! Must be trying to enforce the treaty. Starting off this mission I'll bet this must be how General Duke felt in Starcraft 1. 13:12 Oh dang. That's a good line. But that was a hectic mission. But I suppose it could've gone worse.
Great job rushing its actually really hard not loosing units. The only way that worked for me was to let them attack you by setting 3 chokepoints between their low ground to your high ground. I used 3 battle crusiers + 3 artillery cruisers + 3 support cruisers + 3 AA tanks on each choke point. Using this strategy I didn't even need air support on defence. After about 6 waves or so their forces get fewer and consist only small waves. Then I took only the Kapisi on full attack + 2 support cruisers and Rachel (using emp and scanners)t o attack the Sakala from the northen pass which is the shortest way to reach it. Since they are able to use the missle 3 times faster than you its impossible to dodge it with those slow crusiers (save the support ones which are faster) I first pinpointed their AA with fighters and when use the Kapisi + airsupport to handle most units on the way. When AA are gone i use this time to send bombers on Sakala and Kapisi firepower if they get too close. Lost 1 strikecraft and managed to collect all resources in peace. The best way about this method is that u can grind exp on your cruisers just leave the game and come back later but it takes a very long time to max lvl them.
gg wp with Rachel S'Jet forces up to 8:00 (with a very nice close view for us all too :) @13:00 well said Captain! But that incoming cruise missile had you break your formation, delaying a bunch of your forces behind all the others. After what, Artillery cruisers and missiles launchers that you placed on the crater's fringe did a lot of good work *all* around, or at least it seems to me. I'd try keeping the bulk of my forces close enough from the former, trying to help the illuminati (Sidiim) coming within their range, on top of the Kapisi's and lighter units. You were the one with CU & CU available, after all :)
+VulcanHDGaming well, I was hoping that was not a carrier since how MASSIVE it is! Compare it with the kapisi, I thought the ships were smaller. Oh god, how big was the Mothership actually???
Seems your scavengers get caught out by the enemy every single time. I'm thinking back to as early as mission 2 where you lose all scavengers and had your economy crippled in mission 3 until you could scuttle armored assault vehicles to replace them. Why don't you ever send an escort with them?
+iknowphysics Splitting forces to defend them is all round worse, I'd lose resources trying to defend them as well as my main force suffering due to lack of units. At least if I keep my combat units concentrated I can complete the missions in a timely manner and I won't be losing as many units because they have the appropriate support, negating the need for so many resources in the first place.
Maybe using a joint military support with the long range units, on high ground between your harvesters and main force? Actually you did that ~14:00 or 15:00 and it seems they applied a good deal of their medicine on both sides of the crater's hinge.

Heads up that you can face units. You hold down move or attack move and use your left mouse to rotate them in formation.
+mburdan1 Oh ok, well at least the feature is there. Unfortunately bit late to use it.

Love how u play....nice move to rush ;))
Maybe the real Gritiidim were the treasonous Siidim we butchered along the way.
20:00
I present... the break-dancing missile battery!
What an horrible death... I mean it's like slowy cook in a hoven :(
+tinatpasselepoivre Tender meat afterwards though :P
Ok, semi-spoiler time: there was any Taiidan ship in Homeworld 1 who could deploy satellite weapons? I don't remember.
+CrowMercury Well not in any of the missions I don't think but Taiidan Carriers similar to the one that crashed definitely had the capability.
+VulcanHDGaming well, I was hoping that was not a carrier since how MASSIVE it is! Compare it with the kapisi, I thought the ships were smaller.
Oh god, how big was the Mothership actually???
+CrowMercury In the manual of Homeworld 1, apparently it says the Kushan mothership is 41.37 kilometres tall. So pretty huge.
+CrowMercury after all, it needed to have room to fit all those thousands of survivors of Kharak
+VulcanHDGaming And then you have the Progenitor wrecks from HW2, which are the size of planets and moons.

the wreck is a taiden destroyer
+Jonathan Lam Well spotted!

Have you allready tried the MP of this game? Is it any good?
+HungrigerHugo89 I haven't had chance to try the multiplayer.
I mean taiidan
