Exactly what I was looking for as I dug deeper into my Tradingview chart settings. The flow of the narration was perfect compact, not to slow or fast👍. Thanks.

If I want to use an SMA of e.g. 20 on BTC but 25 on ETH, 30 on SOL, then how can I get TradingView to adjust or save the SMA to the token - so when I switch between then it 'remembers'?

Very helpful video.... Quick question ... On CNBC when they are referring to the 200 moving average are they generally taking about the 200 day or 200 week MA ?

    • @flymarbles4010

think about it...🤔....200 weeks would almost be 4 years...

The input on my Moving Average has SMA built in. It does not give me the option to take the SMA out. How do I get Moving Average just by itself?

  • @Majestic797
    @Majestic797 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Why it doesn't show the built in Moving average by me. Do you need the premium version to get it

  • @verveblack

for MA if you choose a 15minute indicator timeframe then length as 4 does it mean the graph will show the next 4 15 min bars? so it takes an average every 4 bars? or next 4 days?

how to code offset, does it mean that I calculate moving average of my current candle and if offset is 2, so my current candle moving average is plotted above next to next candle ?
this mean that if my current candle is n, the above it the plotted moving average is of n-2 ?
can anybody help me to understand, please

Thank you so much! This is very helpful.
I am new to trading and love it! I have two questions.
I am using Interactive Brokers and trying to set up my charts with multiple time frames using TV to get a better overview of a price development of the market S&P500 og QQQ.
    So I have 1 year/weekly, 3 months/daily, 5 days/15 min, 2 days/ 5 min, today/1min. Naturally, I want to add MA corresponding to those timeframes. Here come trouble.
Choosing the period for MA, lets say I want 9 MA on 5 days/15 min, I get also to choose a smoothing period for this 9 MA period. What is that and shall those two values match?
I mean if I choose 9 MA shall I also put 9 in the smoothing period or shall this value be lower or greater the MA period? 9 MA and 10 smoothing period or 100 smoothing period? How does it work?
And the last question is what would be the propper MA period to chose for the lower timeframes?
Will 200 and 50 MA be suitable for 1 year/weekly, 3 months/daily and maybe 21, 13, 9 MA for 5 days/15 min, 2 days/ 5 min, today/1min? What a the rulles for choosing the right MA for those multiple time frames?
    Thank you in advance
