The opening with faithful Penelope silhouetted against the setting sun, between the 2 stone lions, is one of the most beautiful scenes in this masterpiece. Never to be equaled.
This was the first movie my father saw when he came to the United States in 1984. He decided right then and there to name his son Ulyssys (spelled different but sounds the same). My father died almost 3 years ago and my older brother Ulyssys just passed away on September 9th. He was 32 😢
I had to look her up. She was in some movies I look forward to watching. "The Witches", and "The Verona Trial" sound very interesting from the filmology.
Too bad this film is never shown on cable , just because its Italian made with voice overs , its still a good film that I saw when I was 16 and bought the DVD 10 years ago . I just wish it was shown here in it whole
For all her curses, Cassandra would end up getting her head cut off by Clytaemnestra, the jealous wife of Agamemnon, who would die with her. Ulysses would live a full and rich life following his trials. Karma is a bitch, woman!
50times seen and never tired of it !!!!!
Soundtrack is outstanding

Rimane sempre un bel film nonostante qualcuno dica il contrario
Si può magari con sottotitoli in italiano?

@mafiaromanian
No. That's a novel set in 20th-century Dublin, based (rather distantly) on the Odyssey.
