I used my phone (which is just over two years old and in great condition) as a nav device in a dashtop holder while traveling through Yuma in 115 degree heart. The battery swelled and started to separate the back cover. I was bummed, thinking I'd need to go through the cost and hassle of a new cellphone. Following your video to a tee, pausing as needed, allowed me to replace the battery. I'm typing this from my cellphone. THANK YOU!!!
pretty easy todo with this thorough guide. Just don't be impatient like me with getting the back cover off... mine cracked in a few places while prying it off. but I use a case anyway. This is just a backup phone too since I upgraded.
Considering they're going in there with metal tweezers, my guess is they're not too worried about damaging the phone 😂 Edit: Just saw them bend the hell out of the ribbon cables. That's a yikes. Also missed removing the old adhesive before bonding the back cover back onto the phone.
Hi there man, thank you so much for the quick and easy guide :) just replaced my battery and back cover and so far (fingers crossed) it's working well :) just sent a tip to say thanks!
followed this guide and it was sort of a sucsess , my nfc seems to not work anymore anysuggestions ? did i trip an antenna ? on the plus side i have amazing batterylife again
Hi, I am in Melbourne, Australia and there are no service centers here, so could you please guide me where can I get a replacement battery and a backpanel for it, please? Insights highly appreciated. PS: Ebay and the regular marketplaces are selling fake ones, so I want a reliable one if not genuine.
Hi, when opening the cover, I accidentally damaged the right ribbon cable on the battery, and it tore in half. Could you please tell me what this ribbon cable might be responsible for?
Please be honest: are you making this look easier than it actually is? I imagine unscrewing/screwing the screws and removing the connectors/battery is very simple, as well as peeling back the metal charging cover. But removing the rear cover HAS to be a lot more difficult than you showed. In any case, the fact thag you only need to pop off the rear cover would make this one of the easiest phones to repair, as opposed to having to fiddle witg the screen glass
Thanks for your feedback. Well the challenging part is removing the back cover, for that you needs tools and patience. Also we have edited the video on removing process. Which always takes time to remove the back cover. Sorry about that, but we have to do it
That's not how it works. Memory is flushed when you power off your phone, regardless whether battery is attached or not. Persisted data is on the internal storage and does not require power to keep the data, that's why it's persistent. Nonetheless, it's always a good idea to back your stuff up, just in case you somehow damage your phone.
I am on the same boat. Still I am here wondering if it is just a coincidence and my battery just degraded or is A14 to blame. Did you change your battery since A14 update?
Thanks for the feedback.. well this is b7000 glue which is using for phone repairs. It can easily melt it out. This is not super glue. The reason we are using is , unlike the adhesive, this is widely available to purchase.

Hola, gracias por el excelente video, una cuestión; cuando vuelves a iniciar el teléfono, se pierden los datos o se conservan los datos?
Gracias!!
You won't loose any data
@@DIYGeardo thanks!!
Thank you men, I just changed my battery and I'll have my phone for 2-3 years more.

With changing ybe components of a mobile phone do you take any precautions for grounding? Do you have a wired strap or something like this?

After changing the battery correctly, the NFC is not working now. What could have happened? Everything else works fine. Could you help me?
Did you check the connections are secure?
From where do i order the spare battery? I am from India. It would be great help if you could guide me sir.
You have to check Online, Maybe Oneplus official store got it
Hi ! I just need to kn ,will the data in the memory be lost during the battery change ? Should i back it up before I replace my battery ?
That's not how it works.

I also would like to know where to buy a replacement battery
Well probably in service center
Very good, thank you!
Thanks for your Feedback..
Do you offer a service to do this? I would happily pay you and ship it.
Hi
Does the new battery last as long as the first one. Is it worth the repair ? Or better to buy new phone?
It depends how fresh was the replacement battery, DUH. They can be very old for really old phones, then they can be worse than the original battery.
What are you using for power theme please
Power theme ? you mean heat pad ?
Where do you buy the BLP827 for One Plus 9 Pro LE2127 that is NOT from Cameron Sino (garbage brand)

Congratulations. Now that phone is not ip68 anymore
Yep
If you dont use proper glue then yeah
Who cares, what do u want. A phone that lasts longer on a charge or something you can swim with? Im sure you arent swimming every day.
Yup, would you Rather a phone that isnt water resistant or one in a landfill.

Anyone else here after the Android 14 update? With the old Android version my phone battery lasts about a day, now I have to recharge 2 times a day…
Android 14 yes, but no change in battery life.

Don't use glue, use the original adhesive to put it back together, poor tutorial.
