Anytime I hear Joe Walsh speak about his sobriety I have a smile on my face and a tear in my eye. So proud of him so many fans would have been gypped If he would have left us years ago ,congratulations Joe .Best guitarist that ever lived!☘️

27 years sober right here. One day at a time does it for me. Life is so much easier being clean and sober. The thought of that old way of life makes me sick to my stomach, but I will admit I had some great times early on in my drinking career.
Really enjoyed this interview with Joe. I'm 73 and I got my Novice ham license back in 1961 as well. My call was WA2AUV. My Dad got hooked on ham radio after watching an episode of Father Knows Best when he was listening to a serious situation on his short wave. He was a General class operator with the call of K2HIG in Old Bridge, NJ. He passed in 1979 and my best friend who also got his Novice ticket in 1961 along with me was able to get the FCC to allow him to obtain my Dad's old call sign about 10 years ago, which was quite an honor to me. Thanks for the great music with The James Gang, The Eagles of course and your solo work. The last time I saw you live was at one of the initial tribute events in LA for the late Carl Wilson. I hope you somehow get to see this post Joe. Take good care and stay safe and healthy!!

Joe is GREAT! I love his song "One Day at a Time". He is so down to earth...just like an "Ordinary Average Guy"!!!

I was at the Amsterdam concert June 3, 2019-I had so much fun-thanks for "In the City" and your guitar sound, like in "Hotel California" - had so much fun singing along to those songs I used to hear on the radio often in California, where I should have probably stayed. Thanks to the others as well, of course.
Also your advice on dealing with having to stay put is encouraging. In thought none of us is really alone-we all face the miracle of existence, as perplexing as it can sometimes be.

I remember Cousin Brucie on 101.1WCBS FM. The golden oldies radio station here in NYC. My dad always had the radio tuned to that station. And I just remember when I was little listening to all of the music with my dad on the weekends when he was home from work. All the doo wop, Motown groups etc that would be played. That's how I got into all of the classic Rock music... You know growing up, I was one of those kids who was bullied a lot, made fun of and a few times had kids try to hit me etc., I tried so hard not to let them bother me and never said anything. It was music and just trying to focus on schoolwork that got me through those days. At times, it was hard that I would find a place to hide alone and just cried....
I think I heard Cousin Brucie on Sirius Chan. 7 he is really good!
Life's been good to him so far.
Joe's a wizz at guitar and before that was a wizz at electronics. Learning during the heydays of vacuum tubes (radios AND guitar amps).

If I remember right, I think that Ronnie Millsap was into amateur radio also. I'm also glad to see that Joe is doing so well and happy with his life. Shout out to him.😁👍
One of the very best shows I saw was joe with a bass player and drummer . It was in Lancaster Pennsylvania at a hotel back in 1989 . My goodness it was amazing . I think I was less than 6' away from him holding a bottle of bud wiser . Now days they would not let you have a bottle and be that close.

So the video was posted in July 2020? Great episode. Joe is one of the most talented guitarists out there. I have he same issue with ADD, plus I'm also OCD so it's a bugger. I watched the Gibson Les Paul setup with Joe last year. I thought it was pretty good & learned a lot...Thanks for the upload...Wait, Joe Walsh is on the radio where you can go online & listen to him? I'm gonna check it out....
