4:14 That's some good advice! I usually look at either the comments/reviews or even an unboxing video before I decide on a figure. Myth 1: Sometimes I'll go out to get an over $200 Scale Figure, but most of my collection are Pop-up Parades & Prize Figures. Myth 3: I displayed my figures in both glass cabinets & a shelf above them. And since I have 3 dogs (& probably a wild nephew in a few years), I keep the cabinets shut. Myth 4: I think is BS because it's your collection! If a set has a character that doesn't interest you or dislike, then just buy the characters you like!
Truer words have never been spoken. 👏👏👏 Your collection is YOUR collection! Do collect what you like, however you like.^^ I for myself am very limited to space and money, so I mostly collect prize figures. But I really must say they're gone up in quality over the last years! 💖
I started off with brands like Banpresto , SEGA , BiCute & Popup Parade. FYI I'm from Asia so it is affordable for these brands. Not sure how the west market works. Thanks for clarifying that as long as you like it just buy it. No point on following trend on what to buy and ending up you don't like it.
@@TheFigureFrontierNendoroids for some reason is a little more expensive than the one I stated. I believe the reason is that they can change their expression and some body parts.
@@AquaticLex Yep! I have a couple nendoroids and I love that you can pose them and get a custom look based on what you want them to look like in your colletion
@@TheFigureFrontier Sadly I can't get any Nendoroids cause currently I had a few 1/4 & 1/6 scale figure that somehow overshadow them. Anyway thanks for sharing.

I wanna buy figures but my parents dont really buy off websites they dont really know and i live in a small town in italy with no good stores nearby😭 Do you think i can find a cute miku figure on ebay for less than €30 or is that too much to ask? (nendoroids are fine too)
Don't know where those myths came from but clearly they're all BS. It's your hobby, its supposed to make you happy, who cares what's popular or what others think you should do so that your hobby is "valid" to them? The only mention worthy ones would be to look up if they figure / quality is worth the price tag and cleaning them if not stored, dust and UV light deteriorate figures
I think the hobby has grown significantly in recent years and with that, opinions from strangers on the internet. It's easy to say "don't care about peer pressure or get caught up in hype" but sometimes actually doing it is difficult
thanks for featuring my collection 💓 i display my figures both in and out of cabinets/ detolfs but disclaimer.. OH GOD IF U HAVE CATS PLS KEEP YOUR FIGURES INSIDE SHELVES W DOORS!!! i learned the hard way and it cost me my chirs aqua blue 🥲💔
people forget most figures are just pvc plastic, just clean it bro
Yes! Cleaning your figures is much simpler than people realize
And make sure they don’t see too much UV light

i have a limited edition figure that has a shitty paint job, expensive is not equal good quality!!!
100%! Which figure is it?
@TheFigureFrontier Rayla from the dragon prince by the dark horse direct. the figure is beautiful and good quality but the paint job just lacks

They really have! It's been so fun to see companies put more effort into their prize figure lines

Thanks for sharing!! Those are all mostly affordable in the US as well. Some Nendoroids go up in the aftermarket, but it depends on which one

I want a glass shelf someday but not because of the dust.. but because of my cats.
Understandable! Pets and children definitely make secure shelving more of a priority
