After changing everything you mention on your video I still have the engine light on How do I take that away? Or how do I reset the thing for the light goes away?
Outstanding accurate help. I'm not an auto mechanic, so it took me a bit more time to figure out how to disconnect the wire bundle from the purge valve. But for a $65 part and more effort than I wanted to exert without a beer, I was able to follow these steps (some tough angles) and get my check engine light to extinguish.
Thank you so much. I see your car is also displaying low tire pressure on one of the tires like mine. Is the pressure actually low or is the system displaying wrong info?
Hey, so I just replaced my valve on my 2019 Traverse with the help of your video (Thank you!). Check engine light went off….But now it’s making like a weird ticking/clicking noise. Do you know if there’s anything else to do to eliminate the noise? Or is it the new purge valve? Any advice on this? Thanks in advance!
Hey bro I would check and make sure all the air hoses are connected right the ones you had to unplugged . To install the purge valve because if one of them isn’t plugged in could cause that ticking noise the new purge valve has nothing to do with it it shouldn’t be making that noise as long as everything was done right hope this info helps good luck .
Thanks bro I didn’t have too remove the throttle body wiring clip I just removed the volts from the throttle body and put it to the side so I can have access to the back thanks for watching the video hope it helped.
it doesn't take no hour to replace the purge valve on the engine take of one bolt and unplug the hose that on and your golden less then 15! minutes.you have your new one on garage is going to charge you for 1 hrs labor when only take less then 15 minutes
You didn’t mention the code. P0442? I changed that purge valve same as you, but I opted for a OEM part GM, didn’t help, I needed the other one on the canister under the car near the driver side. My 2012 equinox had the same code, same issues. It was usually the one in the canister under the car.
Is it in the engine or does it sound like in the dash bc I know my aunts car I just fixed her passenger door blend actuator and that was causing a ticking noise in the dash

How did you fix the ticking noise after replacing the purge valve ?
Were you able to ever find out what the ticking sound came from? I just switched out my purge valve and now have the same noise
Mine is doing the same thing. I wonder I’d the throttle body’s bolts aren’t tight enough
Hey I just replaced mines on a 2016 Chevy traverse but my check engine light is still on how long do you have to drive it
Hey thanks for watching, drive at least 40 miles and if it still doesn’t go away unplug the battery so it can reset again that should work
Try replacing your canister purge valve. It was usually the problem in my older equinox.
Great video, thank you! - Replaced this and got rid of my CEL (P0496)
Glad it helped
Hey man, I wan't to thank you as after watching your video, I was able to sucessfully change mine as well. Happy New Year.

Good job bro, quick question. How do you remove the throttle body wiring clip from throttle body? I don’t want to break anything. Thanks

I had the canister replaced at a dealership, then learned it was the subject of a recall. Had service receipt so got full reimbursement.
Where did find that recall at?
@@Grey-Jedi Received recall letter in the mail.
What bit did you use to remove the engine cover?
Star screwdriver
please tell me, how did you understand that it was necessary to change it?
It gave me a check engine light so I scanned it and it gave me a code so I went to autozone and they told me it was that part.
@@rvschevy1566 code P0455 ?
