Kelli Marissa it’s your adorable little friend haha. I’m so scared of bugs and spiders that I always think every piece of fuzz floating around my house is a bug 😂
I am constantly puzzled that strangers feel it's ok to tell other strangers what they think someone should get, e.g. lip fillers. The world is judgemental enough without adding to it. I personally think you do indeed rock that lipstick. The old adage of, "if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", is a good one to live by.
Haha yeah that always confuses me too. It wouldn’t even cross my mind to tell someone (especially a stranger) to do something to their body or face, especially without prompting. Maybe a best friend, but ONLY if they asked for an honest opinion lol. And personally.. I’m not a person who encourages cosmetic surgery or fillers, so I’d probably vote no anyway lol.
@@KelliMarissa I totally agree with what you are saying, but take it from a thin-lipped 57 year-old-- Never say never! If you think your lips are thin NOW, just wait! They will disappear by 50 and you might reconsider some fillers and/or Botox for the crow's feet. If I had the cash, I'd do it, and I'm part of the "natural" hippie generation that once looked down on people even dying their hair!
calichef1962 I don't judge people for surgeries or fillers or Botox, but I don't want it for myself. I'm nearly 30 and I'm not scared of aging or getting wrinkles. It's a sign of living!
Kelli Marissa I agree. I’m nearly 48 and have no intention of getting any procedures. No judgement either, just not for me. Many people are not bothered by aging. I’m one of them ;-)
Ha my boyfriend was so into this video. He loved it, hes been wanting to do nail art on my nails since watching your nail art videos(and he likes to draw/art). He said thank you, stay cool. Lol
Kelli, you are super beautiful. I never even noticed your lips were “thin” because they look like normal lips to me. People are ridiculous. You’re gorgeous! And thanks for the tips 😍
Your lips are fine. The people making those negative comments don't know what they're talking about. I'm looking forward to your video on your favourite white and black polishes.
I love how you kept pointing out that you don't have to spend a ton of money on any of these things. My striping tape stash came from your link a couple of years ago. I've still got *tons* left. I use the same Elf brush for clean up. My dotting tools came from Wish and only cost maybe $2 for a whole set. You CAN do this on the cheap!
Yes it totally doesn't have to be an expensive hobby! Even the nail polish can be bought at drugstores (although if you want to get picky you might end up spending more haha!)
You are a beautiful girl and your makeup is always on point. Lip size, like everything else, goes through cycles. I have larger size lips and when I was a kid (70's), thinner lips were in style and I got teased. You just gotta be happy with what you have, and it seems like you are and that is what is important.
I’ve been doing nail art my whole life, I’ve always wanted to get dotting tools but never have... you’ve inspired me to go ahead and get them! Will be a great addition to my collection 😊
First, I’m doing my nails watching this. 2) your 101 series is super helpful! I have been going back to get tips on making my manis better. 3) I am SHOCKED every time someone tells me they don’t paint their nails because it always gets messed up and I’m like QUICK DRY TOP COAT! I can do my nails in 20-30 minutes and be done and they does get messed up. I love painting my nails!
I used to take a toll painting class way back when and I had two dotting tools for that so I was excited to have something to start with when I started getting into nail art. My daughter bought me a "nail art dotting tool set," but I still reach for the old ones first! She also shared her striping tape with me and I think it was a lifetime supply for both of us! I know you mentioned that stamping is a 201 series, but if you could, I certainly would be interested in seeing that, especially how to clean up between nails! Thanks!
If you start watching at all the different stores that carry drugstore brands (Walmart, Target, Meijer, etc, and the drugstores) are starting to put out their boxed gift sets with things like makeup brushes, makeup, nail sets, etc. I'm sure you get the point. IMO most of them are pretty good items. I used to replace my makeup brushes and hair care items that I needed after Christmas, when that stuff would all go on clearance. (but they are already heavily reduced prices, in case you don't want to wait). Last year, at Meijer - think Walmart Supercenter - when the items hit 75% off I bought this cute LA Colors 'Sophisticated Mani' set that came with 5 mini polishes, 1 glitter, 1 base/top coat, 8 foil strips, 75 tiny gems and tweezers. It said it was a $20 value, originally sold for $5, but I got it for under $2. Sorry, I know that was a WHOLE LOT of words to say that if you look now you'd probably find a great selection of those types of sets, but if you're like me I'll be looking now and buying what they have after Christmas. I'm really sorry for being long winded. 💜
It's so great that nail art kits are easily accessible now! They used to be so hard to find, when I first started, I could only get stuff online and for so expensive!
"A feather in my hair" ha ha ha , you are to cute💕 as always, great video 😉💕 and that lipstick is gorgeous on you, NO fillers, good for you, you don't need it😄 thank you for sharing 💕💕
I would say that my top ten things a budding nail artist needs are: 1. Black one coat polish 2. White one coat polish 3. Quick dry topcoat or UV/LED gel topcoat 4. e.l.f. concealer/clean up brush 5. Striping tape in many colors 6. Set of 12 acrylic paints- mix any color, dries in seconds and errors scrape right off 7. A few small art brushes and dotting tools, orange wood sticks, or even toothpicks 8. French manicure guides, (or hole re-enforcers cut in half,) decals and seasonal stickers 9. Assorted fine glitters 10. Crystals, rhinestones, half pearls, metallic accents, etc.-- super cheap on Amazon! One could probably go on Ali Express and get everything on this list for about $50. Someone on a tight budget could even put everything on a wish list and then just buy a few dollars worth each pay day and have it all in a month or two.
One of the most useful videos I have ever watched in TH-cam!!!! Thanks! Also I love that you had that aside about the feather. I never would have noticed it but if I was making the video it would probably annoy the crap outta me. So relatable! Haha. 💜 Edit: you are beautiful and talented. I hope the positivity a lot of people give you outweighs the bs. I really appreciate all your hard work please never stop being you!
Oh thank you so much for your kind words :) I honestly almost always ignore the haters and just delete their comments haha! I'd rather spend my time talking to you guys!!!
I just started with nail art but my favourite so far other than those that were mentioned are acrylic paint! They are super easy to apply with any kind of brush, dry super fast and with a top coat are just as glossy as polish. The nice thing is that over dried top coat it is easy to fix mistakes because you can gently scratch it off. So yeah that is my favorite tool for nail art details :)
Could your please do a nail care video? I remember i watched your older Inez but I want to know if you have new recommendations. My nail salon or sooo frail & breakable and as they’re growing even a little but I have to cut them because layers constantly peal off. 😢
i really an greatful for these basic tips !! ive just recently started with nail art and had never painted my nails before and know nothing at all so these are EXTREMELY helpful!!!
I applaud that you love your lips the way they are. I'm tired of people shaming other people for the type of lips that they have. God blesses us to be uniquely individual in the way we look, the way we think, and our brilliant personalities. I love your uniqueness!
Trying to improve my nail art game. Dotting tools and the brushes are what I’m playing with to improve. Recently started stamping and trying gradients with the sponge. Those are still a struggle. And your lips and lipstick are lovely.
I have probably commented on a video before saying this, but your tip of the acetone and concealer brush was a GAME CHANGER for me. It is SO SIMPLE, but in my 28 years of life, I had never thought of it or had anyone directly mention it as you did. Seriously, that combined with a good, fast drying top coat and I've been painting my nails, like, religiously for the last year or so. THANK YOU! :) P.S. You are beautiful and the dark lipstick looks really, really nice! I have thin lips and hate the way dark lipstick looks on me, but I am inspired to give it a go again.
Oh gosh I'm so happy to hear that! It's absolutely my favorite trick for a salon quality manicure. So much that now I feel like the salon doesn't do as good of a job since they don't usually clean up HAHA!
Besides the fact that I love all of your video's...You are by far the sweetest, nicest, upbeat, positive person there is!!!! And I love that! Go Jersey girl!❤
Didn't even think anything about your lips or the color, looked so natural with your make up, now your eyes I just love your talent with the shadows.... that's what I'm always looking at
Great video as always Marissa. Another reason to have a good black and white polish is that some neons needs a white under coat to reach their full potential, and a lot of glitters need a black under coat to look their best. Not really nail art, but still
Basically died when you said that using liquid latex in your nailart is to complicated cause my current nail art I used liquid latex in it, and honestly you are a lot better than me❤️💅🏼 it’s a lot easier than you think
I'd add plain old cotton balls or I prefer the cotton rounds that don't leave any fuzzies behind. I use them to take polish off, clean around the top of the polish bottle and of course for cleaning stamping plates. Probably my #1 nail polish tool and go though a lot of them. I also like the pointy little cutips for cleaning up around cuticles and for placing glue for crystals. They are great for cleaning the inside lid around the brush if you get polish inside it as it will dry and seal the polish shut if you don't, Don't you have a very old video showing how to do that - I think I learned that trick from you actually. Great video. I saw the feather and thought it was something floating across my computer screen but couldn't get it to go away. Glad you cleared that up (haha).
Omg thank you so much for this video! I’m new to nail art and I’m SO overwhelmed and don’t know what I actually need for a beginner. This was super helpful thank you so much!
I have a roll of drafting tape from a college art class, it’s meant to stick and peel cleanly from paper, that works well enough for me and what I like to do
Water slide decals are the easiest way to get beautiful nail art. I order them from AliExpress for 25 cents to $1 and they have consistently worked for me. I like them way more than stamping!
THANK YOU for mentioning cleanup. I feel like somewhere in the past year or so, the nail accounts I follow on Instagram stopped cleaning up their manicures for some reason and it drives me crazy.
I guess this is an older video but oh well. Oh honey, you are rockin my life. Just started nail art and i just found u. Do not get filler. You are so beautiful, my dear. And i know. I have never thought of you as having small lips. I see what u mean but you make ur make up looks so good u seem to bypass the whole issue. U really do, Kelli
Great tools to have for nail art, but my comment today goes to your makeup, gorgeous and flawless, best I have seen, it goes so perfect with your hair, is completely perfect. 🥰💖💅💖🥰
Great video, Kelli!! Believe it or not. I used to use colors pencil, water paints and markers as nail art(1978-1982). Today there are all kinds of things to use for nail art.
I'm a little lip lady, too! Trying to boldly rock those rich shades as well. My hurdle used to be worrying about lip colour feathering but I found liquid matte (matte ink) product. Worth it! ... (I wait for sales though)
This video has made me want to use my dotting tools & striping tape again I only usually do stamping. I might use my dotting tools on my nails tonight I was stuck on what to do to jazz up my color.
Two things that changed the game for me, a silicone mat and nail polish remover pads. The mat I have is just a placemat, which I bought for like 2 dollars, but it has saved my desk from nail polish damage and gives me a place to drip polish to if I'm doing a dotticure, or something freehand where I need to dip into the polish. And I found that the remover pads, while horrid for removing nail polish off my nails, are perfect for cleaning my tools and keeping my brushes perfect for a long time. Also hella inexpensive, mine was like 3 dollars
Thanks for the video! I’m still building my collection. Just got the Holo Taco Kay ch collection: wearing Olivera from Zoya and Scattered Holo! Lasted one day so far and am excited for more Holo taco this year. Still need some jojoba oil, a clean up brush and some liquid latex and vinyls (nail sponges and such)!
Thanks! I just got some lavender/jojoba/Ylang ylang oil and a clean up brush! I’m enjoying this scattered holo immensely. I watched your holo taco review before buying the collection and it’s very beautiful!
You are a beautiful young lady inside and out and have nothing to be self-conscious about no matter what others say. You do YOU and be proud of who you are and what you look like!! Rock your look - It works! If anyone says you need to change your looks, tell them they need to change their perception of beauty.
Love these videos! More 101 videos please! Also would love if you started a more advanced series teaching things like stamping, reverse stamping etc. I have not seen good videos explaining how to do these techniques. They are usually missing information like how long you should let your polish dry before reverse stamping etc. Completely dry? Partially dry? Wet? Would love to know your tips and tricks for this in an advanced nail art video series.
I hope you rock dark lips so much more. It really suits you! 100% enjoy these 101’s. I was wondering later on in the series. If you could do a video on how you take care of your tools. Ie.. silicon mats, dotting tool, stamping plates, stampers, clean up brushes and nail art brushes. How you clean them how you store them etc... I got a silicone mat. And I have no idea how I’m supposed to clean it. So haven’t really been using it. 😳
A very helpful video, and definitely gonna keep a lookout for that elf brush. Your are beautiful the way your are smh at the ppl for being so rude. That Makeup look tho, stunning Kelli ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi I have a question for ya. In regards to the liquid latex, do you put it in something else for Application or right out of the tub with a polish brush? Thank you😄
I have always loved your 101 videos! Some I learn a lot from and some are a refresher! Love your whole look today with the hair, make up, and lips. Gorgeous! People have no shame when it comes to telling someone what they think a person should have done, but are also the first to comment negatively if a person does decided to have work done on themselves. Unless it directly affects you, close your mouth and keep scrolling!!
Oh gosh thanks Erin! I'm glad these videos can be helpful :) yeah I don't understand the compulsive need online to tell people to get work done, especially when it's totally not related to their videos (I really don't see how bigger lips would affect my nail art hahaha)
The feather 😂😂 This is why I love your videos, you're not above pointing out things like that. It's very relatable. One thing I wish more nail artists would mention that I never knew- you put Quick Dry Top Coat on the polish while it's still wet. That blew me away. I was constantly struggling with accidentally bumping my nails before they were 100% dry, which prevented me from ever wanting to put in the effort to do nice nail art, knowing I would inevitably ruin it right away. Throwing on Quick Dry Top Coat to help everything solidify faster resolves that whole issue. Never knew what I was missing. And how silly and shallow are these people going around criticizing lip volume, what on earth. With your makeup looks, you could definitely rock a dark lipstick. Your hair would look great with a darker maroon shade like your shirt! It'd be very autumnal. 😊
Haha yes that is absolutely a game changer! I'll definitely mention it in my favorite top coats video because it's super important. And thank you so much for your kind words and support :)
I find stamping easier than vinyls sometimes! Haha. Lay the polish, scrape, *s t a m p.* Sometimes I struggle with the vinyls sticking bc my nails have a strong curve, so that's probably why.
I like your lips/smile. It was the first thing I noticed about you when I started watching and I feel like it’s one of your best features. Also if you don’t have a video like this already, I’d like to see a basic nail art video where you use these tools from this video and show us how to do some easy nail art designs or show us the different designs you can do with them. Especially the brushes.
I've actually found liquid latex to be inferior to scotch tape. The latex *MAY* last through the first round of sponging on color, but sometimes it doesn't even last that long. It starts coming up with the sponge. It just doesn't want to stick to my skin for some reason. Not sure if it's the brand or what, but every time I used it I thought to myself "How on EARTH do people use this for costumes?!" So yeah, I find scotch tape works SO much better, it just stays put until I'm done sponging on color. Also, good for you for disregarding those haters saying you have small lips. You are GORGEOUS. Every time I see your thumbnails I'm like "MAN I wish I could look that gorgeous." So I'm glad you don't let those haters get you down.
Hmm, which brand are you using? Some of the nail polish based ones I've tried are watered down and super thin but the Amazon brand I use is really thick and can withstand a lot!
This was one of my favorite videos! I use all the nail 💅 tools you talked about in your video. My dotting tools are probably my favorite, as they are so easy to use, and make perfect dots in all sizes. My next favorite are my black and white 💅 nail polishes. OMG I just bought a new bottle of black polish, and it fell and broke all over the floor, walls, my door. What a mess that was to clean up! I think your 💋 lips are beautiful just as they are. Don't listen to people who make stupid comments. I also think you look great in all lip colors, however, I'm really liking the darker color on you. You're an incredible makeup artist Kelli, so you look gorgeous in everything! Thx for a great video. Miss and love you lots!
kelli every time i watch you i go and buy nail polish i just bought the glow in dark sally hannsen ones lol i have over 2000, bottles of nail polish i need the holder like you have for mine
Thank you for this video! I really appreciate your 101 videos, they are super helpful. I'm excited to see your favorite whites and quick dry top coats videos.
Very in depth, thanks! Also there are plenty of us who think those fillers are ridiculous, but who am I to judge? I think being happy with yourself is more important anyway. I would've never thought about them if you hadn't mentioned it, you always look great IMO. 🖤 :)
Haha I couldn't agree more - we all have our preferences so we should just do what we want (or not do what we want haha!) and let others do what they want! Thank you so much btw:)
Dotting tools: check Nail art brushes: check Striping tape: check Scotch tape: check Liquid latex: check Acetone and clean-up brush: check & check Black & white nail polish: check & check Quick dry topcoat: check-ish (Salon Perfect's dries in like 4 minutes for me) Cosmetic sponges: check Nail vinyls: check I'm surprised you didn't mention base coat, cotton balls, & Q-tips. For me, cotton rounds and alcohol are also essentials, to make sure my nails are completely clean & dehydrated before I start. As well as my cuticle cream & oil. And last thing: to heck with the media. Dark red & dark purple are the ONLY lip colors I wear, and my lips are pretty dang thin. Rock those dark colors!!
I would consider base coat and cotton balls to be must-haves for nail polish/manicures at all, but this list is specific to nail art! These tools i mentioned aren’t necessarily tools you need to use every time you put on a simple manicure, so I wanted that distinction. As far as Q tips.. I actually don’t really use them in nail art haha so they didn’t make my list!
Kelli, f them! Ive always had small lips. Sometimes, especially if I'm not wearing any lipstick, my top lip disappears when I smile. Don't know where it goes 😂 but I'm fine with it.
Hi Kel..what am awesum informative vid for beginners. Ag..as soon as i saw ure vid, i instantly moticed the stunning red lipstick & thought to myself ' what a gorgeous striking colour '..u rocked the red lipstick girl..gud on u.. PS..cudnt even see the feather. U are as real as they come Kel & thats why i love u so ❤
Thx for the video. I love you 😘 and your videos. Some people don't have any good things to say about anybody. Really like your make up look for this video. You inspire me to do nail art. Thx Kelli
Hi Kelli I hope you are well! Funny thing with me, my mum saw a video in stamping and she told me about it and that is where my love if nail polish and nail art started! My mum then for me for Christmas 2 Boxes of small nail Polish with 24 in each box and my mum said that if I still love nail Polish and want to cintinue with it we would get more and getter quality! (They weren’t the best nail polishes but it was perfect to start out with them to get the hang of painting my nails!) My favourite tools are dotting tools, clean up brushes and acetone, nail vinyls, striping tape and my MOST important ine LIQUID KATEX!! As you know with my eyesight I ALWAYS get Polish ALL over my fingers and my skin ends up being stained....! I use it ALOT abd for my bottle from eBay! Cannot wait for your next vudeo!! Love you!!xxxxxx ;)
That’s so cute! I actually tried starting with water marbling haha! Can’t believe I got into nail art with such an advanced technique. I didn’t do a great job lol
Kelli Marissa hahahahaha! Me and my mum are IMCREDIBLY close, she is my ultimate best friend and (I dint have any friends unfortunately) we ALWAYS do our nails together, it’s so much fun, just the two of us!! Really? Wow! Hahahahaha! Me and my mum TRIED water marbling..... let’s just say we are TERRIBKE at time and decided to NEVER do it again.... hahahahaha!! ;) In essence, my love for nail Polish and nail art is ALL my mums fault as she started me off with stamping and since then my love for it has grown! Hahahahaha!! ;) when my mum told me about stamping I bought from eBay alittoe stamping kit from Born Prefty that cane with 6 little stamping polishes, stamper, scraper and 15 Little round stamping plates and we tried them out and the rest is history! We learned together and over tume bave become quite good, I can stamp but it’s akways 50-50 if I get it stamped the right way....! That where mum comes into it!xxxxxx Love you and.cant wait for tour next video!xxxxxx ;)
Love this video. Thanks for your suggestions though I moved quickly to stamping and am now obsessive. More stamping vids please. Also confidence is always in style so rock whatever you want on your lips and own it! I love your lip color.
LOL just noticed my title cards only worked for the first nail art tool... smh

Omg I can't believe I didn't notice it flailing around while I was filming lol

Yep I use elf eyebrow brush as clean up. Works well
@@allieohmalley1319 I never thought of using one of those. I bet that *would* work really well!

Your lips are perfect for your face and you have a beautiful smile!
Oh thank you so much Ann :)
You look fantastic in the dark lipstick. I'm baffled by the pure rudeness of people sometimes 🤦♀️
People are so much meaner on the internet than in real life lol! It's crazy.
I bought a clean up brush years ago and it literally CHANGED my nail art game, from messy to professional😎
It is seriously life changing haha!
Thanks for making this type video...they are really helpful.
I’m glad to hear it, Gail!
I’ve been doing nail art my whole life, I’ve always wanted to get dotting tools but never have... you’ve inspired me to go ahead and get them! Will be a great addition to my collection 😊
Oh they're gonna change your life!!!!
While watching this video I was doing nail art and legit had practically every item you mentioned out on my desk!

Kelli Marissa or a cleanup brush! It’s so easy and makes all the difference
I made a dotting tool by getting an orange stick and dipping the pointed end into candle wax. Let it dry and you have a dotting tool.
Genius!
That's a smart tip!
Brilliant idea ✔
I used to take a toll painting class way back when and I had two dotting tools for that so I was excited to have something to start with when I started getting into nail art. One could probably go on Ali Express and get everything on this list for about $50. Someone on a tight budget could even put everything on a wish list and then just buy a few dollars worth each pay day and have it all in a month or two.
Thanks so much for sharing your must haves!!
One of the most useful videos I have ever watched in TH-cam!!!! Thanks! Also I love that you had that aside about the feather. I never would have noticed it but if I was making the video it would probably annoy the crap outta me. So relatable! Haha. 💜
Edit: you are beautiful and talented.
Oh gosh I don't think I've used any new products this year haha! I'll take a look though!
Makeup looks great. Love the red lips.
Oh thank you so much :)
i really an greatful for these basic tips !! ive just recently started with nail art and had never painted my nails before and know nothing at all so these are EXTREMELY helpful!!!
I applaud that you love your lips the way they are. I'm tired of people shaming other people for the type of lips that they have. God blesses us to be uniquely individual in the way we look, the way we think, and our brilliant personalities. I love your uniqueness!
I love dotting tools and the elf concealer brush! The elf concealer brush is part of my the foundation of perfect manicures each time!
Totally agree!! It's the best step!
With the neon colored nail polish if you put white first it makes it look brighter and black makes it darker.
Besides the fact that I love all of your video's...You are by far the sweetest, nicest, upbeat, positive person there is!!!! And I love that! Go Jersey girl!❤
Oh you are so kind Karin! Thank you so much!!
Didn't even think anything about your lips or the color, looked so natural with your make up, now your eyes I just love your talent with the shadows.... that's what I'm always looking at
Oh gosh thank you so much haha!
Great video as always Marissa. Another reason to have a good black and white polish is that some neons needs a white under coat to reach their full potential, and a lot of glitters need a black under coat to look their best. Not really nail art, but still
That's a great point!
Basically died when you said that using liquid latex in your nailart is to complicated cause my current nail art I used liquid latex in it, and honestly you are a lot better than me❤️💅🏼 it’s a lot easier than you think
Haha omg I can't do it! What design did you do??
Kelli Marissa a nude nail with a gradient in the middle/on the side of the nail ☺️ if you want to see it, it’s on my instagram called @jasmins_nails
That's the best way to clean up the cuticles. With acetone and a brush. I can't live without it
Totally agree!
Omg thank you so much for this video! I’m new to nail art and I’m SO overwhelmed and don’t know what I actually need for a beginner. This was super helpful thank you so much!
I'm so happy you found it helpful Sabrina!!
Kelli where is your favorite place to buy nail vinyls???
Honestly I've pretty much only ever gotten them from Whats Up Nails and I love them!
I think I'm looking into those nail vinyls. Great video.
That lip color looks really great on you!
Oh thank you so much :)
I would love to see a favorite top coats video!! My search hasn't been going well, and I'd love to see what you recommend!
Love the red & makeup
Thanks so much!!
Brushes are my favorite I can't stop buying them. But I do have everything you said.
I have a roll of drafting tape from a college art class, it’s meant to stick and peel cleanly from paper, that works well enough for me and what I like to do
Oh that's perfect!
I absolutely LOVE you in dark/bright lip colors! You can rock ANYTHING!!
Oh gosh thank you so much haha!
Yay, whites! It's such a hard color to apply. Totally looking forward to that.
Oh I have so many recommendations!
ive been using the elf brush since highschool for cleaning up my french tip manis lol. oh man i love that brush. so versatile!
Water slide decals are the easiest way to get beautiful nail art. I order them from AliExpress for 25 cents to $1 and they have consistently worked for me. I like them way more than stamping!
That’s a great trick too!
THANK YOU for mentioning cleanup. I feel like somewhere in the past year or so, the nail accounts I follow on Instagram stopped cleaning up their manicures for some reason and it drives me crazy.
Haha. I feel like it's my favorite step for really completing a manicure!
🥰🥰🥰 Thank you Adrienne, I'm glad you're enjoying my content so far!
Your hair is so bright and pretty! Thanks for the video!
Oh thank you so much :)
Great tools to have for nail art, but my comment today goes to your makeup, gorgeous and flawless, best I have seen, it goes so perfect with your hair, is completely perfect.
🥰💖💅💖🥰
Oh gosh thank you so much Purita!!
Yay you! The 101 videos are back! 🖌💅🏼 I don’t do much nail art but I watched the video anyway. LOVE the dark lip color on you!
Oh thank you so much Falynn!
Great video, Kelli!! Believe it or not. I used to use colors pencil, water paints and markers as nail art(1978-1982). Today there are all kinds of things to use for nail art.
Haha yes it improved every day!!
I'm a little lip lady, too! Trying to boldly rock those rich shades as well. My hurdle used to be worrying about lip colour feathering but I found liquid matte (matte ink) product. Worth it! ... (I wait for sales though)
I have sooo many nude liquid lipsticks haha I need to Branch out!
Also...I used to be a nail tech and then I discovered heyyyy I hate doing nails; I just love nail art. You've inspired me
You’re killing the whole fall aesthetic with your hair & makeup. Killing it 🔥
Haha oh gosh thanks Allie!
This video has made me want to use my dotting tools & striping tape again I only usually do stamping. I might use my dotting tools on my nails tonight I was stuck on what to do to jazz up my color.
Ooh I loooove spicing up a manicure with dotting tools!
Both great tools! I looove my silicone mat!!
Ooh that sounds like a beautiful manicure!!
Thanks! I just got some lavender/jojoba/Ylang ylang oil and a clean up brush! I’m enjoying this scattered holo immensely. I watched your holo taco review before buying the collection and it’s very beautiful!
You rock that dark lip! I have also frequently wished in the past that my lips weren’t so thin. Even thin lips are visible in a dark colour!
That's true! I'm sure thin lips will be in fashion soon, trends are so fickle lol
Awesome video Kelli! I started with stamping and found nail vinyls tougher! Ha ha!
ditto! ... but maybe I made the extra effort because of my desire to master the intricate awesome stamping designs.
Oh man I still struggle with stamping often hahaha
@@KelliMarissa Ha ha! We all have our favourite methods.
Girl you are my favorite. You are gorgeous, I love your attitude and your helpful tips. Thank you so much!!!
Oh you are so kind, Cari! Thank you so much :)
Love your 101 series, and the pause for the feather was adorable! That shade of lipstick looks amazing!
Haha thank you so much!
You are a beautiful young lady inside and out and have nothing to be self-conscious about no matter what others say. You do YOU and be proud of who you are and what you look like!! Rock your look - It works! If anyone says you need to change your looks, tell them they need to change their perception of beauty.
I like that answer! Thank you so much!!
I actually love the idea of building on this series and doing more intermediate video tips!
Oh gosh thank you! I’ll definitely be dark lipping it more haha. I think that’s a great video idea actually!
I use that exact liquid latex it’s just so much cheaper , but I use Twinkled T clean up brushes , worth every penny
A very helpful video, and definitely gonna keep a lookout for that elf brush. Your are beautiful the way your are smh at the ppl for being so rude. That Makeup look tho, stunning Kelli ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh thank you so much :)
Kelli Marissa You are very welcome and ppl are hating on you
Good overall info. I have been watching for awhile and proud to say I have all of these tools. Thank you for your videos! You're awesome!
Thanks Laura :) glad you enjoy them!
Hi
I have a question for ya. In regards to the liquid latex, do you put it in something else for Application or right out of the tub with a polish brush?
Thank you😄
Loved this!! You’re amazing Kelli 😉 also, you totally rocked that dark lip 🤩
Haha thank you Crystal!
Good video I understood and knew all these tools BUT if I didn’t this would have been very appreciated 👍🏻😊
Haha glad to be a refresher at least!
I really enjoy watching your nail polish 101 videos. I also love your makeup 101, I find it helpful. When do you see yourself doing more?
I'm planning more soon! I've finally got some time in the next month to do more makeup videos and I'm really excited to do them!
Haha. Lay the polish, scrape, *s t a m p.*
Sometimes I struggle with the vinyls sticking bc my nails have a strong curve, so that's probably why.
Oh man I struggle with stamping still! Hahah
Oh gosh thank you so much! I do have a beginner nail art tutorial playlist that you might find helpful but I like that idea too!
Happy you don’t get fillers or overdraw your lips! Makes everything more real.
And I'm keeping it all real! Haha!
Oh yikes that must have been awful to sill all over haha! Hope you are doing well!!! Xoxoxo
Great video. I love your info and how we can get it for less money. Thank you.
I'm so happy you found it helpful'
kelli every time i watch you i go and buy nail polish i just bought the glow in dark sally hannsen ones lol i have over 2000, bottles of nail polish i need the holder like you have for mine
Omg that's a huge collection haha!
Great video Kelly. I have a couple of the items you mentioned but not all. I will get a couple more things. Thank you.
Happy I could help!!
Thank you for this video! I really appreciate your 101 videos, they are super helpful. I'm excited to see your favorite whites and quick dry top coats videos.
So glad you enjoyed!!
girl, did you really think I won't see the new ORLY winter collection on your shelf???? It's so pretty, can't wait for it to come out
Haha! I'm excited to swatch them!
Dotting tools: check
Nail art brushes: check
Striping tape: check
Scotch tape: check
Liquid latex: check
Acetone and clean-up brush: check & check

Quick dry topcoat: check-ish (Salon Perfect's dries in like 4 minutes for me)
Cosmetic sponges: check
Nail vinyls: check
I'm surprised you didn't mention base coat, cotton balls, & Q-tips.
@@KelliMarissa good point!
Kelli, f them! Ive always had small lips. Sometimes, especially if I'm not wearing any lipstick, my top lip disappears when I smile. Don't know where it goes 😂 but I'm fine with it.
Hahaha mine does too!
I love this hair colour on you!
I just got my first nail art kit
Hi Kel..what am awesum informative vid for beginners.
Ag..as soon as i saw ure vid, i instantly moticed the stunning red lipstick & thought to myself ' what a gorgeous striking colour '..u rocked the red lipstick girl..gud on u..
PS..cudnt even see the feather.
U are as real as they come Kel & thats why i love u so ❤
Oh gosh thank you so much for the compliment! You are so sweet ILY too!!!
Thx for the video. I love you 😘 and your videos. Some people don't have any good things to say about anybody. Really like your make up look for this video. You inspire me to do nail art. Thx Kelli
Oh thank you so much Pamela!! Love ya!!
Heyyy i’m good i got all the tools for nail art, even if it took me a while to get it all 😂 now i just need to improve my skills 😅
Haha! Practice makes perfect!
(They weren’t the best nail polishes but it was perfect to start out with them to get the hang of painting my nails!)
My favourite tools are dotting tools, clean up brushes and acetone, nail vinyls, striping tape and my MOST important ine LIQUID KATEX!!
Really? Wow! Hahahahaha! Me and my mum TRIED water marbling..... let’s just say we are TERRIBKE at time and decided to NEVER do it again.... hahahahaha!! ;)
In essence, my love for nail Polish and nail art is ALL my mums fault as she started me off with stamping and since then my love for it has grown! That where mum comes into it!xxxxxx
Love you and.cant wait for tour next video!xxxxxx ;)
Love this video. Thanks for your suggestions though I moved quickly to stamping and am now obsessive. More stamping vids please. Also confidence is always in style so rock whatever you want on your lips and own it! I love your lip color.
I still struggle with stamping sometimes haha! But I'll keep going at it!
@@KelliMarissa stamping takes practice. You have boss free hand skills but stamping is easier generally. At least for me.
Enjoyed the vid ♥️
I’m currently learning nail art and man it’s harder than it looks.
You can do it! Its a fun process to learn - you should take pics of your manis as you go so you can see your progress!!
@@KelliMarissa that’s the plan, hopefully I’ll get there with more practice. Currently binging your channel 🫶🏽
I cant wait to see you favorite black and white nail polishes! 😄
I can't wait to share them!
