Never give away the Alpine. Amazing car, you know it better than me. I switched to the R. Believe me: if you really want to leave your Legende, stay with Alpine and switch to the R. You won't regret it. There, the R is the supercar you're looking for. You don't need McLaren or Ferrari (which have a thousand problems). Believe me that the Alpine A110 R is completely different from the other Alpines and from all the Sports cars on the market. I bought the version with carbon rims (now they no longer exist), I changed the paddle shifters (taken in black from Life 110) and I have the Pikes Peak livery (also no longer available). The feeling you described on the gearbox and that you are one with the car, that you have to make an effort, is expressed to the nth degree in the R. Greetings.
@@JeanRedele62 thanks for sharing! Yes I’m intrigued by the R and thought would be an awesome track car and weekend blaster. I think many don’t really understand the Alpine until it’s owned and driven. It’s indeed special and irreplaceable
thanks again for the 1 year review. you were speaking on the alpine a110s too in comparison and since you have driven it too, what are your thoughts versus this legende gt?
@@tenzokinoe you’re welcome. I think the S is more focused and serious. More hunkered down and seeking grip. IMO I think it’s a great car but it further proves the original formula’s brilliance. Ultimately it’s down to personal preference
@@ThomasYap i see. i guess u chose something closer to the original. i would have thought you would have tuned it up too. haha anyway there is now the r, r ultime (with new transmission, aeros n extra extra moolah to rival supercars) and even mpr 990r (under a ton n prob cost a lot more) interpretation to give different variation to the feel and seriousness, grip, hunkering down to an alternative to the usual supercars
Hi, thanks for the video but i have a few advices: -driving and talking made it hard to hear everything clear -you gave a lot of positive points on the car but no drawbacks. I ll also do a video after 1 year with my alpine and 27 000km and even if i love this car, there are quite some drawbacks with it 😏
Here is the list of faults that I was able to note: - poorly positioned cruise control switch - screen brightness too high (even set to the lowest) - no screen on/off button that actually cuts the screen - multimedia bug and no car play -2022 - night mirrors ... option!??? - problem with gearbox maneuver when going downhill in reverse -2022 - problem with front lights plastic cracked by the sun - no directional lights - paddles too small - no storage in the passenger compartment - engine bay accessibility (oil level top-up) - steering wheel finish (felt swelling under the alcantara) depending on the model - backlighting of buttons too strong at night - driving problem on snow (cuts the power even with ESP off) - factory geometry not great - its intake sometimes not very captivating - sports exhaust not controlled with a button so you have to put the sport mode. -no esp off light on the switch (why??) -fuel pump -catalyst -alternator -in dark weather the car goes into night mode (not possible to manually switch the screen to day mode 😤) -jerks/misfire at idle/jerks felt in the seat -shock absorber caps broken (track/rally use rough road) -untimely "parking aid to check" light -footrest tilt -parasitic noise -to lower the windows you have to start it -original brakes too weak for intensive track use
@@teckleongtan5539 because they are quite different in character. The spyder threads through corners like a needle. The alpine dances through the corners. Different kind of engagement

Nice review! My S is hibernating over the winter, missing her desperately, can’t wait for spring!
Very interesting review as I come from a M2C too. Just bought an A110 last week and will be delivered Next week.
Just can’t wait 😂
@@giamo645 nice!. Congrats!
Well described on the cars turn-in.
You should do a comparo of this vs your Boxster Spyder, of how each of them has their strong points

- multimedia bug and no car play -2022
- night mirrors ... option!???
- problem with gearbox maneuver when going downhill in reverse -2022
- problem with front lights plastic cracked by the sun
- no directional lights
- paddles too small
- no storage in the passenger compartment
- engine bay accessibility (oil level top-up)
- steering wheel finish (felt swelling under the alcantara) depending on the model
- backlighting of buttons too strong at night
- driving problem on snow (cuts the power even with ESP off)
- factory geometry not great
- its intake sometimes not very captivating
- sports exhaust not controlled with a button so you have to put the sport mode.
-no esp off light on the switch (why??)
-fuel pump
-catalyst
-alternator
-in dark weather the car goes into night mode (not possible to manually switch the screen to day mode 😤)

Nothing feels like a small car. The smaller the better.
Genuinely curious Thomas … why keep when you already have a manual, drop-top,mid engined spyder which is loads more engaging and fun.
